Adblue/Bluetec doesn't do shit for smoke. It is a urea injection system. The urea reacts with the nitrogen oxides (NOx) in the exhaust and decompose them into nitrogen and water. The smoke is something only a DPF can take care of.
@biertier99 lmao. no.. bluetec is a smokeless system. we have trucks with the bluetec on them. that system is a diesel exaust fluid treatment type thing lmao i cant get my brain working today. but it reduces emissions down to water vapors
@gizmo98550 I think you"re talking about adBlue which is injected for the catalytic process and it converts various oxides to less harmfull substances and exhaust regulations are easier to meet since you don't have to fine tune the engine but it still isn't water vapour....

You haven't really owned a diesel until you get a Ford Pickup Truck from the mid 80's to 1994. That was a great diesel engine. But I'm extreamly impressed with Mercedes engineering now that I bought a 1987 300 TDT and started admiring the beauty of the machine. Really pretty how everything fits together. yup i had a 84 with the 6.9L had so much torque was a monster. i have a 86 right now with a 300 I6 and it seems to have just about as much pulling power as the diesel. the 7.3L IDI is a good one too, but nothing compares to a powerstroke or a DT466 7.3L

I just bought a powerstroke last night, more or less complete engine, a hose or two is cut, but all the acessories and pullies are attached. One valve cover dented 1/2 inch, Oil pan a little dent or two. Real greasy and dirty, hope it's good, hope I didn't get ripped off. It's my third Powerstroke, just and extra engine for the future. Now I've got to learn more about it. I rebuilt a 7.3 IDI but not a pstrk.

definitely no! I own a new german diesel car and my friends have japanese diesels and there is now way to get any smoke out of these engines! Thats because the combustion is higly effective thanks to common rail fuel systems with piezo electric nozzles. The amount of fuel injected and timing is precisely calculated. Only old retarted engines emit smoke, which is caused mainly from overfueling. In newer engines problem might be: low fuel pressure, injectors, air intake, egr, crank sensors...
no new diesel engines do not make the some because they have expensive and complicated emmisions systems. DPF's Cats, urea, etc. New diesel emmisions equipment sucks because it adds weight, lowers fuel economy, and adds cost. And because of China's and India's daily polution modern diesel emmisions might as well go away, they don't help one bit.

JOKRJ1, diesels are way less polluting than gasoline engines. They have been criminalized, almost, in the USA and the ignorance of Americans has made this easy. Sort of like how stupid Americans voted for Obama.
I'm not sure, but I believe that the injection pump has been fixed at mynä-diesel. It's guite common here in finland to "upgrade" your injection pump at mynä- or ppdiesel. Both companies are specialized to tune diesel injection pumps.
can you use that turbo charger in a 300d and what else do you need to boost its power by the way i have 2 300d's for sale 1 silver and one gold im keeping working on the black one any questions send a message.
after a certain amount of spinning, the LSD will engage both wheels, so it prevents loss of tractions, but also protects the tires from being abused in corners like a locked diff would do. Hence the posi.

Your statement really amazes me. Are you really thinking before you write stuff or what? I love that CHOKING black smoke? F mother nature? The only part you got right is diesels are cool! Would you like to be in a small room full of smoke? If we continue with these types of attitudes, guess what? Mother Nature is gonna say F the human race. Also I am trying real hard to understand what exactly is the attraction to the black smoke? Im not trying to dog anyone please explain intelligently what is cool about it? Do you realize that BLACK SMOKE is a result of an incomplete burn? Do you think that the smoke represents something really happening? More would be happening in the form of HP if you could burn it completely. I guess its the Tim Allen caveman theory like guys having to have power tools. ERRRR! ERRRR!

JOKRJ1, diesels are way less polluting than gasoline engines. They have been criminalized, almost, in the USA and the ignorance of Americans has made this easy. Sort of like how stupid Americans voted for Obama.

i own a w124 300d with a om603turbo, is that what is in the red one, if so what did u do to the injection pump, to to make it pump that much fuel

I'm not sure, but I believe that the injection pump has been fixed at mynä-diesel. It's guite common here in finland to "upgrade" your injection pump at mynä- or ppdiesel. Both companies are specialized to tune diesel injection pumps.

They are running with Holset Turbochargers in both cars. Looks like a Holset HX50 in the black one...

i guess YOU dont and your just curious.
after a certain amount of spinning, the LSD will engage both wheels, so it prevents loss of tractions, but also protects the tires from being abused in corners like a locked diff would do. Hence the posi.
