@Danster82 This is for people who want a great media player that's portable, and holds a fair amount of songs/videos, it has a 32gb model which will hold a good amount of music and video, FLAC will take up too much room, but 320kbs is good enough for most people. If you need storage look at Archos, they have up to 500gb models.

I have purchased the S9 after going crazy about what mp3 player to buy. It has been 4 months since I have and it is e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g I wanted it to be, and more.

Sound quality, the amazing screen, 251 games (for FREE!), movies and the fact that I can charge it in my car while listening to it connected to the Head Unit.

You can go with the shipped sound presets (which are very good) or you can design your own preset as I did. you can have EQ, BBE, Stereo Enhacement, Reverb, Mach3Bass, 3D surround... and much more, ALL ON TOP OF EACH OTHER. This is a heaven device for the deep rich bass lovers.

Sound quality is 100 times better than ipods... Korean made MP3Ps always comes with Sound enhance systems.... with bunch of EQs... even Videos... U dont need to convert it but cowon's latest model J3 which is S9's after model will release in this month... wait for it ! It has wi-fi too !

Why would i want a useful player that plays any audio/video files without conversion? I dont want to just drag and drop files on the device without spending hours on end converting. And who really wants a lousy OLED screen these days? Battery life means nothing to me. And sound quality is soo 1960's.

i bought a 32 gig Cowon S9 today. it doesnt even work. It keeps freezing and I have to reset it. None of the songs i loaded onto it work, the recorder doesnt work. it sucks! im so disappointed cuz i wanted it for months! and when i finally got it, it doesnt even work. i dont know if i should exchange it for another S9 or just get an ipod touch :-(

I'd get an iPod touch if it wasn't for the ridiculous iTunes you are forced to use it with. Get an exchange first. I've heard very little people saying they break down. You could of just been unfortunate with yours.

I took my S9 back & got the ipod touch cuz i read up on the issue i was having & learned that its a common issue with all S9s when using a mac. S9 is not very mac compatible & macs cause them to freeze & U end up having to reformat it. Theyre best if youre on a pc. i know the S9 has better sound, but i am pleasantly pleased with my ipod touch.

i tried hard to go against the ipod grain but in the end, i drank the kool aid lol the itunes is kind of annoying but not 2 bad when u get used to it

The ipod touch is a good mp3 player, one of the best on the market. But it's blighted by iTunes. And it's not the fact that it has irritating interface or something like that, it's the fact that iTunes demands you convert all your music into a certain format. I can't have that. Winamp and Windows Media Player just leaves me alone.

I just bought a Samsung P3. I hope it's worth it.

I own an old iAudio X5 and let me tell you, the sound is something that can´t be compared, the BBE is going to make the sound a million times better than any other player.

Drag and drop is soo good, no need to use stupid software like iTunes.

The only reason I'm buying the S9 is because it's bluetooth. I have a bluetooth head phones. (NO WIRES) WIRELESS MUSIC. It's a great feature something the Ipod don't have. Plus it can playback all but not all vid files.

Seems a pretty good device but I have a PSP so I don't think it would really be worth it (for me). I would be buying it for video, the S9 and PSP have 480x272 screens but the PSPs is 4.7inch. Much better for vids, plus I also have homebrew apps etc. on my PSP.

This devive would probably be better than the iPod touch though, the S9 has a 16:9 resolution screen good for movies.

This is by far a more powerful audio device than the psp. Psp audio quality is just decent, like an ipod. Cowon audio quality is amazing. So that is incentive enough, just to inform you that there is at least one other reason hehe.

Hmm. Yepp p3 has widgets, haptic, games, and an external speaker. Cowon s9 has an accelerometer and is much more responsive. Both look really nice. :D If I were to purchase one, I'm leaning towards the P3. But for now, I will stick with my Cowon D2.

I did pre-oder the yp-p3 from samsung few days ago. I crush on p3. It has advance spec ahead of the P2. One thing is UI. If i touch a icon, it's viberate as you touch. If you're into listening to music and watching high quality videos on-the-go, then the P3 is for you.
