The best deal for a quality knife is the Swiss bayonet. The steel is great just like the steel in the Swiss army knifes and just a steal for the price. Cheaper than dirt has them for $20 when I got 3of them they were $10.ea

Still for twenty bucks u have to get one.

Ps. Like the old one , but the glock kinda is crap with that sheath.

Germany and Austria are like brother countries, their fates are very much intertwined. Austria is all that Germany is except more since the culture is less diluted by immigration. only a few hundred words are specific to Austria.

Personally i prefer Austria a bit more since my county was allied to them for centuries.

If you pop the cap off the pommel of that AES knife, you should find that there is a bold holding the blade on. On Glock knives, the steel cylinder under the cap was kept to maintain balance, but the bolt was eliminated and a partial tang was used instead.

you should keep your knives in a dry place along with a dehumidifier. Those are some nice collectibles, too good to rust

@GearBuyersGuide I'm almost certain that is a combat knife made by Eickhorn. It's. I saw it in my encyclopedia of knives, and it's exactly what you have. I'm not positive but if you got this in the 80s it's a good chance. Btw nice video:)

Btw, if you´re interested:

"Solingen" is a city here in Germany and produces the best German knives and other steel objects. You had the pronunciation almost right with one exception. The g in "solingen" is pronounced like in the english words "gun, to gasp, the first g in gorgeous, etc".

If you´re into knives, you might want to remember Solingen, so i thought you might want to remember it correctly. ;)

@555Nato nahh i never went ahead because they're expensive $150-$220 including shipping and im still waiting for someone to review them properly haha, The knives look good, they seem to have good specs, but i cant find anyone that actually owns one and has put it too real use. The KM 2000 looks really good, if its self defence im sure it would do the job. you should check out schrade survival SCHF4, its a copy of the knife for $50.

@toyboy4u2 ,the KM2000 BW is 119€ here(Europe).The KM2000 with modified tip is 135€.I didnt see any proper review about them on youtube yet either.They can stab, that i believe.But any kitchen knife can stab,and function as a deadly blade.I wanna know what they are good at aside combat.Haven't see that. I send a message to Eickhorn messer up to messages in total.But they dont react.Fuck that customer unfriendly behaviour.I am now like, I aint gonna buy stuff from a customer unfriendly company.

I used to have an AES many years ago.what i remember of it ,was that it felt more solid than the newer Glock knife.maybe because of the heavier handle,or the blade.dont know.but both are tough knives.

I could see this as being useful to a soldier. From noss4's destruction test, I could see how this could be beaten into wood and dry wall, dig holes, cut rope, webbing, or be a good stabbing tool.

If you pair this up with a SAK you pretty much set for everything. I can't wait to pick one of these up.

EAS Solingen used to make cheaper knockoff of the already cheap glock knife. Quality was also less than the glock.

Please consider what these knifes where made for.

I have some SOG knifes and like them, but that is no comparison.

The Glock knife is more a "tool-knife-bayonet", and much less a "knife".

But in modern CENTRAL European area I see more use for a Glock knife than for many other far more expensive fixed knives, If I do not want to PLAY "survival".

Or would you buy a 200$ screwdriver, just cause its available.
