Those who live in Pamir in Tajikistan consider themselves as a different nation, well maybe not a nation, but just separate group of people, because they are very much different from the rest of the people of Tajikistan.

Dear, Pamirian refers more to the geographic location than the ethnicity or nationality. here it refers to the people living in a specific geographic location-Pamirs which lies in four different countries: Tajikistan, Pakistan, China and Afghanistan. so we can't say Pamirian are separate nation.. Nation is a very broad concept beyond boarders and ethnic affiliation... i hope it will work for your question....

they are also Iranians but speak different languages and of distinct Iranian origion. Some even have more European look then other Tajiks
