My advice to the British public is, do not pay your tv licence......
You can own a tv, for computer games consoles and watching dvds etc. and it does not have to be licenced.
You pay ur licence for viewing broadcasts, so if u are not, u dont need a licence. Do not renew ur licence, just tell them u no longer watch broad-casted tv, but u are keeping ur set for the PS3/X-box.
TV detector vans are bogus and they have no way of proving u are watching, unless they catch u in the act.
Keep a set of pliers near the tv, in case u get a visit from the old bill, then simply unplug ur coax aerial lead and cut the end off. Buy a new one for 50p when they have gone and re-fit it in 2 minutes.

My advice to the British public is, do not pay your tv licence......
You can own a tv, for computer games consoles and watching dvds etc. and it does not have to be licenced.
You pay ur licence for viewing broadcasts, so if u are not, u dont need a licence. Do not renew ur licence, just tell them u no longer watch broad-casted tv, but u are keeping ur set for the PS3/X-box.
TV detector vans are bogus and they have no way of proving u are watching, unless they catch u in the act.

Keep a set of pliers near the tv, in case u get a visit from the old bill, then simply unplug ur coax aerial lead and cut the end off. Buy a new one for 50p when they have gone and re-fit it in 2 minutes.

As an adjunct to the earlier comment, it'd be interesting to know just how many employees of the corporation, particularly those in the news and editorial departments happen to be Jewish. Anyone who cares to do a bit of research will find it uncomfortable reading.
Considering that Jews make up 0.5% of the UK population (5 in every thousand), and Muslims around 2.7%, then everything else being equal, there should be at least 5 times as many Muslim employees as Jewish ones. Are there? ... heck!

Mr Benn has been my hero for longer than I care to remember, but even he is not 100% on the ball here. BBC's pro-Israeli stance goes a lot deeper than just a protest from Israel.
All broadcasts on Gaza by the BBC to date refer to the atrocity carried out there as a "conflict". Just how much more bestial and base have the Israelis to be before such action is described by the BBC for what it is, namely Genocide by a neo-fascist racist state.
