These two vids rocked, man! My keyboard is so much more responsive now! I'm on whatever the latest versions were from your links. I'll be checking them again in a month or two to see if there are anymore updates! I love how thorough you were! Thanks again!
Also, I tried to continue the steps, but when trying to apply interanal update.zip a message in yellow appeared "E: can't open /sdcard/update.zip (No such file or directory) Installation aborted. I presume this is bc I am not extracting it properly and therefore, it does not exist... Any help appreciated!!!
Firstly, i'm new to this stuff and trying to follow step by step. After downloading the 2nd link from your instructions I'm having a problem extracting the update.zip file to root of g-tab. First of all, windows could not recognize the file, so I installed BitZipper to try and extract the RAR file? When I try to extract with bitzipper I only see "removable disk F" - I do not see internal SD or anything else... What is the root of internal memory? Disk f? Again, i'm new to this - please help! thx
Hey your video has helped me a bunch but i have run into one little difficulty. Your second link leads me to a link for alpha 6.0 not alpha 2.1. The 6.0 alpha doesnt seem to work, so i was wondering if you could direct me to the alpha 2.1 file perhaps?
@ethanwasham the newest alpha build does not require nvflash. If you have the custom recovery installed, then flash the newest build as you would with any rom available.
Geat tutorial, one question though, how do I know which one to use, 1.1-3588 or 1.2-4349 based image? I am using Calkulin's G-Tab v1.1 right now with CM Recovery v2.5.1.1-bekit-0.8. One more thing, on the second link it says after 2.2 no NVFLASH is needed. Does that mean I can just update from CM Recovery to Honeycomb?
I NVflashed before, which means i already have the NVflash folder ready with all the files, however that was a long time ago when there was no 1.2 based
so now my question, after i download and extract the 1.2based zip, do i just copy my old Nvflash files in the 1.2 based folder, and i am all set, or wat?
Worked perfect, great explanation. In the 2nd Link the rar file has been updated so the name will not be the same. (as of 11/25/11)
