  • Fuck the bankers!

  • Be carful this is fake short term business that are still on the old dallor currency or fake stock market. As you no gold, silver, agriculture land near remote rivers that you can take water from or steal it as states claim to own it.

  • Dear California please continue to vote Democrat. I have one overpriced mall unit that only has two back up possible leasees for when the current lease runs out next year. Hi Nancy, love ya hon. That just pass it to see whats in it was precious.

  • Too cold in the Winter.

  • The rescession is meant to send a signal to the market to start inventing new things and solve problems. Covering the recession with stimulus and quantitative easing is basically nullifying that signal and sending the country into greater poverty. Quantitative easing creates "artificial demand" for useless comodities because it pumps debt based credit into the market. Just like doctors 'solve problems' by supressing symtoms while making the problem worse. This building here is the same.........,

  • @felicity5155 right on.

  • He's in mining country!

He ought to visit Bismark, N.D.

  • whats with America and the obsession with the MEGA complex's and MEGA stores, everything looks the freakin same

  • kids aren't all that free. It costs alot to see the joy usally.

  • Oh and look , Scottrade is opening up a casino , now we know for sure the region will go to shit from the gambling , just like before : (

  • George has made the common mistake of making growth and prosperity as the same thing.

  • People must rise and take the country back from the scum sucking money masters rathen than run and hide in the bush and live off the grid. Either you get them or they get you (off the grid or not).

  • Total blind speculation here, but isn't it cheaper for Canadians to purchase an automobile in America? ...or is that even possible to do?

  • Of course it is. many Canadians buy cars in the US and import those in Canada. Much cheaper. Subarus for example up to 25% cheaper for new cars.

  • A previous commenter did seem to make a good point that the expansion is only because another dealership in the city is doing poorly so they want to merge the two at one location. In theory it would be a better idea to move two dealerships into one location. That might be the reason. Still doesn't discount that it may be growing.

  • I'm shocked that you put on pants and got out of your moms basement. Your analytical skills could use some work.

  • I see new buildings go up all the time. then they sit without Businesses entering them because we're in a freaking Depression! U know what, what if the new movmt in Social Media was to plant youtubers...and they would pretend they R working for us the ppl...Could U imagine such Profanity.I can.

  • Nice Vid. Thanks for the update from Northern Idaho.

  • I do not quite get this type of reporting. You should have done some research as to why this Toyota dealership is expanding. For example, if some of the surrounding and somewhat further away same brand dealerships went out of business, well, this is hardly a good economic pulse. On the contrary as they are centralizing , which, you should know, has its downfalls over the long haul. But doing a drive by and being shocked is hardly what I call any type of indicator.

  • it's not that shocking that low tax states like WA and ID will outperform the national economy. Taxes kill businesses and rob from personal budgets. Tax cuts are the best stimulus for the economy.

  • Soon the government will intervene and regulate the profit making and stop growth due to dangers of climate change.

Taxation and regulation will soon stagnate their economy, also. :(

  • Dude go to a military town and you will see growth everywhere and a lot of people still living life like they did before the crash minus the excess spending.

  • George, what are the first places to get that increase in bad economic times? Why not check out local churchs to see if they're getting more charity requests; local shelters to see if the numbers have gone up; where are the businesses getting loans to construct? You're showing a lot of economic activity in Coeur d' Alene and it does not make economic sense.

  • George did you check to see if there are any Salvation Army there or Missions people can stay at and get some grub while there trying to get on their feet?

  • Well I could be wrong,: one out many possible reasons we are seeing a new dealership being constructed is Toyota build higher quality cars. Customers want cars that are fuel misers and top duration quality. People..tell me what do you think/ I would love to read or watch on video what you have to say

  • Yes, Toyota's do tend to last longer. Also Toyota is taking advantage of the gap that is being created by the federal government closing "profitable + private" US car dealerships.

  • George, this Idaho thing is only going to last short term. You have not shown any factory mfg jobs. $100 -200 condos? Yeah! We can afford that working seasonal construction or servicing Toyotas. NOT.

  • If you build it...they will laugh.

  • You guys are saying " its crazy" that new construction in an auto dealership. Yet, funny enough, if the dealership was empty and had weeds and rusting cars, you would also say "its crazy". So the reality is that what ever you see is Crazy?

  • The smaller, more conservative areas are growing and have a better economic outlook.

  • People are moving to states like Idaho in record numbers.. why do you think calif. tax revenues are down so big

    kiss Taxifornia Goodbye

  • I don't think this is so shocking... last year, an entire shopping complex was built down in a nearby city. Within a year, most of the businesses had shut down. I don't think this is the sign of any sort of recovery, sort of a false positive... but I'm not sure George was even implying it was a sign of things going well.

  • G4T will move to Idaho confirmed!

  • Dave Smith is still booming I bet!

  • One of These Nights.

One of These Crazy Nights Were All Gonna Find Out: that no city, town, area and no State will be safe and secure from the economic crises and the total collapse of the US and the whole world.

And especially from the coming Martial Laws, Fema camps and other population control and killing methods. But continue to live in your Ectopia and Halls of Shambala but actually will become Slaughterhouse Five. :/

  • Its not that incredible or unbelieveable. Go to Seattle they are still building high rises. If you understand the process, it takes maybe 2 years to get that project going so once it gets started you can't stop it.

  • If the US were to fall, Northern Idaho would be where I would want to be. Those folks will go down in a blaze of gunfire. That is why they are booming, the survivalist minded are heading there.

  • George, when I was there (20 yrs ago) there was a negative connotation to Californians moving in, is that still the case? (my dad remodeled the Kmart there, we stayed on Hayden lake. By the way, great fishing on the lake

  • Idaho is only one of ten states that has had a balanced budget!

  • I don't want to hijack thread but can you inform me what the other 9 are. THX

  • WHAT! that's it! We are invading.

  • i dont think it will be a safe haven

  • In Houston TX we still have all kinds of contruction, condos, stores, hospitals, etc

  • Alene would be heartbroken if all your viewers relocated there, now that you have spilled the beans.

What is the basis of the economy there? Tourism? Agriculture? Manufacturing (just kidding)?

I see a bubble growing there. What do you see there that will protect you from the economic collapse in the rest of the country? What would happen if there were oil shortages there? Is it friendly to cyclists and pedestrians? Is lots of food grown locally?

    Great videos, thanks.

  • doesn't mean they will sell cars...

  • u also need to remember most all projects are planed years in advance, city, zoneing financing ect.new construction may have been planed 3 years ago.that is a really nice shirt,a restaurant will love to serve you guys.very beautiful there.

  • It wont take long for progressives to screw up Idaho. I bet they have a balanced budget too. If Californians can stay out and not Californicate Idaho they should be ok. If not look out for programs that will bankrupt them.

  • Come on down south to Boise & you'll get a different picture. Over the past 10 years northern Idaho have been flooded with people selling their over-priced homes in Calif & paying cash for new homes in Idaho. So most have no debt and living off savings. Give it another year and you will see closures all over Idaho. In Boise - life is getting more difficult for most everyone with industry like Micron & HP laying off workers - lots of empty stores.

  • Many times the auto manufacturer requires the dealerships to update and renovate despite a poor business environment.... otherwise good vid

  • Building on the sand in the hour glass. They constructed two new hotels in my town......no body is checking in. They are standing with empty parking lots.

    It's all an illusion.

  • same here. all the new stores and houses around me are empty. they have been built for over a year.

  • Fascinating.

Hey, we have a very, very stagnant economy here in France, and I continue to spot opportunities. A lot of it is mentality and flexibility. Will share this widely. I agree with a comment here, don't just accept it, go and ask people, but it's interesting. A person in Boise was very, very nasty to me -- feels very blocked and hopeless and unemployed. Wonder if she'd move here?

  • read Clotaire Rapaille's 'The Culture Code' brilliant insight from financial parallax to social structure/mentality.

  • @ 0:27 Where are the safety cables on the edge of the building ? This man is not in compliance with OSHA regulations!

  • go to town/city office and ask population, housing, jobs, crime etc questions. Facts man find 'em. Coming soon... right. Call Scottrade; portray an interested potential client and freekin' ask them when is soon. Facts man facts.

  • thank you.

    insightful and True.

  • why did you not remark upon the closed business shown @ 2:08 through 2:12? One can see where the signs had been removed from the red stripe and see through windows empty space. Denial will support new construction as well as legal contracts.

  • Why dont you go into the dealership and ask someone.

  • Great Job Guys!

  • Maybe those car dealerships just believed the stimulus hype and started expanding? Or did you see more than one?

  • At last some positive things still around.

  • in a weird way I miss the death and destruction in socal

  • @InflationUS Northern Idaho is known among other remote areas as a favorite safe place for retired military, law enforcement and cia type folk to retire.

on their 100k to 200k and higher retirement packages...

  • California sets the trend, check this area out in two years.

  • Think it might be the fresh water? It's the future "oil" ya know.

  • lol
