Judging by the reaction of BB and Buddy (whose opinion is probably a bit more reliable than a 20 year old jealous guy ), I would say that the kid has genuine skills.

I saw him in Boston yesterday -- certainly heard no one calling for him to get off the stage; instead, while BB King's people were setting up, everyone was trying to figure out who he was. Great show. Great performance. And the kid's more than a technician, which counts for a lot.
