I live in the UK. I rent a ground floor flat in a converted house. When I moved in, the occupants above me were a young English couple who didn't work. Their TV was always on way too loud and they were generally rowdy. Since they moved out, various Polish factory workers have lived in the flat. They are practically invisible and I rarely even know they are there. Last year, I spoke to a girl who lived upstairs. She explained she was a qualified lawyer back in Poland. Fair play to the Polish!

Nice said! That's just the way it is, cheaper workers will be always more wanted, than more expensive ones. I'm polish and what I must say about a part of workers coming to UK or US, or Germany to work in factories for example - some of them just cannot find job in PL (it's kinda hard about it, if u haven't gone to the university, because there are like... 80% of young community, who have), so they go to places, where they'll be able just to live. Anyone would do it.

Letting Poland join the EU was a big mistake, it makes me wonder if theres any Poles left in Poland, and why are they so eager to leave there country?

Also another point, there really should be some sort of language test before there aloud to come and work in the country. If you go to a foreign country you should at least have a basic grasp of that language!

i worked last summer in netherlands in flower factory, and boy how many polish ppl i met, and no one of them speaks normal english, only kurva kurva, i speak russian but they hate russians so if they would even understand russian, they wont talk with you anyway, so i learned polish :D , and i worked for 7 euro per hour,romanians those even worked for 4,5 euro per uhr the work was like a slavery, scandinavia is not that mest up i think need to try there..

Im not sure if you know, but I live in Miami, Fl USA. It has only snowed here once in history and that was in 1976. Today it is kind of cool at 58*F

I wan't even a twinkle in my mother's eye then nor a thought in her mind. But i must say thanks for videotaping the falling snow! i've NEVER seen snow falling like that before. I've only seen it on the ground and that was once time when I was 12.

However, as you said its not with Polish people, its with Mexican and Indian people...

Its definately a cost issue considering that the employer can pay 2/3 per hour less to these workers...

In addition to the wage difference the employer also saves on healthcare...

Being that these workers are illegal immigrants they arent provided healthcare benefits...

I think its wrong because two people doing the same job should make the same amount...
