Pakistan: Christian woman sentenced to death for "blasphemy"
Apparently all she did was confess the Christian faith. Islamic Tolerance Alert: "Punjab: Christian woman sentenced to death for blasphemy," from Asia News, November 9 (thanks to C. Cantoni):
Islamabad (AsiaNews/Agencies) - Pakistan has "crossed a line" in sentencing a Christian woman to death for blasphemy. Asia Bibi, a 37-year-old farm worker mother of two, was convicted of committing blasphemy before her fellow workers
does anybody know what this tune is derived from? I figured it was just a Jam considering the title but it seems at least semi-composed. It is one of my favorite pieces on this DVD performance. It really captures Steves colors.
what distinguishes this fella from other modern guitar players is his openness to styles and things other then JUST guitar/shredding. Most think of classical and then think Yngvie malmsteen or paul gilbert. That is not classical. That is just simply rip off vivaldi lines from the baroque period. Classical music is much more diverse then just onetime period. SMs approach is a mixture of so many influences far beyond the normal players. He takes in a bit from so may styles and time periods.
People gush about Govan, Vai, ans Satch, but Morse is one of the all-time greats, and he also is one of the instruments most committed artists, which is his greatest strength.
that is EXACTLY what i think. and i really appreciate that you mention gilbert because he is so often forgotten when it comes to dropping some badass names...!
Can't wait to see him at the Canyon Club in Agoura on Jan 15th, 2010!!!!!! I saw them two years prior at the same venue and seeing this stuff live is unbelievable!!!!!!!!!
wow.. just WOW... I LOVE that volume knob swell trick he does, it sound so "real", and incorporated into the notes more-so than stepping on a volume pedal. its all in the hands and feel. speachless.
most differant and amazing

It is SO friggin' unfair. Didn't he leave any chops for the rest of us?
1crow 3 years ago 20
Maybe if we get the sweat off of one of his guitars we will inherit some chops through osmosis haha.
