  • most differant and amazing

  • look at his t-shirt. "batschkapp" :D its a club in my city :D im proud :DDD

  • Man, this is way better then watching porn on a school day when all lessons are being skipped

  • great guitarist !

  • Thanks Steve, you just reminded me of how very much I have yet to learn.

  • does anybody know what this tune is derived from? I figured it was just a Jam considering the title but it seems at least semi-composed. It is one of my favorite pieces on this DVD performance. It really captures Steves colors.

  • amazing!! and the next month i'll see him live with deep purple.. i'm so excited!

  • blew my mind

  • very love it

  • He´s an amazing player!

    He´s my idol<3

  • what distinguishes this fella from other modern guitar players is his openness to styles and things other then JUST guitar/shredding. Most think of classical and then think Yngvie malmsteen or paul gilbert. That is not classical. That is just simply rip off vivaldi lines from the baroque period. Classical music is much more diverse then just onetime period. SMs approach is a mixture of so many influences far beyond the normal players. He takes in a bit from so may styles and time periods.

  • He's an amazing composer too.

  • People gush about Govan, Vai, ans Satch, but Morse is one of the all-time greats, and he also is one of the instruments most committed artists, which is his greatest strength.

  • in my humble opinion the best guitarrist of all time i like so much Gilbert, Petrucci, Satch, Vai but Morse is Morse =D

  • @DANGILBERT03 I agree. Those are monsters, probably the best in their areas, but Morse can play everything

  • @DANGILBERT03

    It's my opinion too.

He has much more musicality compared to others, it's cool to hear he playing, it give some kind of confortable feeling. :)

  • @DANGILBERT03

that is EXACTLY what i think. and i really appreciate that you mention gilbert because he is so often forgotten when it comes to dropping some badass names...!

  • no disaster being schooled by a master, wow

  • MASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Can't wait to see him at the Canyon Club in Agoura on Jan 15th, 2010!!!!!! I saw them two years prior at the same venue and seeing this stuff live is unbelievable!!!!!!!!!

  • he's too much good for us... no one can-> he does

  • On a completely different plane of reality than the rest of us...Insane talent ..

  • Go Dregs!!!!!

  • Tremendous talent. Steve Morse's music is heavenly. Thanks for posting this.

  • it's keeps blowing my mind

    each time...

  • how did he get the violin sound? i am awed by his skill

  • he does volume-swells with his pinky, watch carefully at 4.50

  • steves been working out mahn

  • this almost sounds like phil keaggy

  • his tone is like eric johnson ;-D

  • played that guitar tday. i <3 it :)

amazing to play and plays so well through clean

  • Pure, unadulterated GENIUS!

    OMG...Steve is amazing!!!

  • I absolutely love his tone! His technique is stunning as well, ultra clean picking and amazing vibrato!!

  • It is SO friggin' unfair. Didn't he leave any chops for the rest of us?

  • Maybe if we get the sweat off of one of his guitars we will inherit some chops through osmosis haha.

  • ThanX!

  • When war that?

    Steve is looking younger

  • it was in 1992

  • Grear playing... good taste and melodic control.

The best piece I've heard from Steve.

  • Steve Morse and Al Di Meola have the best alternate picking...

  • Bravo...Al is the best! I absolutely love Steve though...he amazes me so!!!

  • a question what picks he uses?

    thnks :D

  • "Ernie ball" picks

  • dimarzio picks...

  • @guitarman2233 In this vid he's using Jim Dunlop Nylons .73mm

  • @Bass5el Thank you for correcting me.

  • Just freakin' incredible that guy is. A musical genius.

  • I really enjoyed this :-)

  • God of alternate picking!

    Morse is a genius.

  • i dunno reminds me olot of randy

  • awesome best ever

  • Makes no sense everyone buying Ibanez guitars and playing Petrucci/Vai/etc; when clearly this man and his technique and sound is where it's at.

  • Just BRILLANT!!!

  • again and again spechless...he can speak with his guitar...what an artist...

  • in my eyes he is awesome at fusing because you can hear country influences, classical rock and jazz and he makes it sound so good and so him

  • It was magical music :)

  • was it magic or just music

    best tunes ever!!!!!!

  • I give up! What a phenominal performance...

  • amazing..

  • he's god

  • wow.. just WOW... I LOVE that volume knob swell trick he does, it sound so "real", and incorporated into the notes more-so than stepping on a volume pedal. its all in the hands and feel. speachless.

  • I love the chords he uses here!

  • Fantastic! I remember this tour.

Did he play "Jesu Joy Of Man's Desiring" on this DVD and, if so, could you post it?
