I hope there's some seriousness in this movie, Ryan Reynolds seems like to much of a comedian to play a Superhero, that to me would be like getting Adam Sandler to play the next Spiderman, and Kevin James to play the next Batman, it just wouldn't work. But that's just my opinion, Hopefully it'll be a great movie Green Lantern has always been my favourite superhero since i was a kid. : )

well the first 2 green lanterns were white. Alan scott was the first Green lantern but this follows the story of the second (and best) green lantern who was also white. You're thinking about John stewart who was the fourth Green Lantern from earth. Even if they had used John Stewart, Terry Crews is a terrible choice. Common would be much better.

I think Ryan Reynolds is a good choice for this role, as long as he doesn't revert to his typical style of comic relief. Give it up! Ryan is perfect for this part! The guy is 6ft something with the perfect build and facial structure. He has the same hair and sharp eyes. He can both swoon woman (like in his romantic comedies), do demanding action ( wolverine...blade), and be serous ( he's not stupid. He can hold back the jokes and he has great screen writers backing him).
