  • guys what the name of the game at 1:52

or where i can find it ?

  • Now I remember the name of the game, Assault Suit Leynos, one of my favorites games on Mega Drive, remember renting this game every weekend trying to finish stage 2, never pass this stage. Need to get this game again. There's the 2 one for Sega Saturn but never played.

Thanks a lot for the amizing video!

  • Now, god damn it, THIS is the kind of video that is actually WORTH something...Kudos, homie!

Most youtube videos are trite and valueless. People trying to be witty (but failing MISERABLY) or get their fifteen minutes...The people who comment are even worse (but not me, of course).

    But this vid is FRESH!

    Thanks!

  • What's the name of the game at 1.41 with the dragon on the cover please?

    Awesome video btw.

  • wani wani world hehe :)

  • What are the games at 1:44 , 6:24 and 6:26, can you please tell me?

  • Really really need to thank you for this, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to find the English name for some games. This must've taken you ages, thank you!!!!!

  • omg thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks finaly, I found dahna...I thought it was dahma.. I can't thank you enough man superb job

  • Thanks a lot for sharing! :-)

  • It's amazing how you can easiley tell which game originated from the West (mostly awful covers) and which are straight from Japan (mostly great covers).

  • Just arrange all my games chronologically which has took an age! Use this and my Megadrive Encyclopedia as well (which has release dates). Some on here are marginally out (Turbo Outrun for example) but only a few mate. It proved very helpful!

  • Sorry for the poor spelling/english- I was rushing!

  • And cheers for the guardiana website, it's great.

  • Cheers for this man.

  • Aaron- do you know what the game's called at 3:04? Some fantastic artwork...

  • It's called 'Traysia' and I believe it's an RPG. Indeed, amazing cover art.

  • I'll be keeping an eye out for that, just for the box art! :-)

  • @gagaman

    what about 0:56?

im looking for a japanese 2 player game..

when i was a kid i think they called it shitenmyu or something...

  • Hokuto no Ken! Whoo! And a Mazinger game, too? Neat. And I remember Gods oh so very well! Man, that was a hard game!

And unless I missed it, wasn't there Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine and Sonic 3D?

  • Mean bean Machine was Puyo Puyo in Japan (see @ 4:02 ). One of those cases where a game was completely re-done visually when brought over here.

Sonic 3D was a no show. In fact they only got it on the Saturn in 1998 around the same time as Sonic Adventure!

  • did Japan get none of the Tiny Toon's games?! sounds stupid that the games weren't released over there, considering how popular they were...

that, or I plain missed them :L

  • I'm surprised too, they missed out on a lot of Mega Drive games in Japan, probably because the system was quite so popular over there. They did get Tiny Toons games over there on other systems though.

  • Oops, typo. I meant 'wasn't so popular'

  • Aww, no Micro Machines for them.

What a wonderful video though! I love how B.O.B. is instead called Space Funky Bob.

  • I am impressed. How many games was that? I got a feeling it wasn't more than 150, but that doesn't sound right.

  • It was actually 423! :)

  • they released Rolo to the Rescue and Awesome Possum over there oh good lawd and lol at kawaii desu desu Chuck Rock

    also wtf Hitler game?

  • Yeah, weird that Japan got Awesome Possum and we didn't. Why would anyone buy it in America, let alone there?

The Hitler one is a series of war simulation strategy type games they pump out all the time. I guess they don't mind you playing it from either sides of the war. Go search for Third World War for the Mega CD, that cover will give you a laugh.

  • loooool what
