Berger was so chilling in The Damned, esp the bit with the little girl and he played the peodo very convincingly. something many actors will shun doing, but Visconti did this to show that peodos can be the most attractive of humans to look at. :(

Er wurde auch ziemlich übel verarscht in den deutschen Talk-Shows, wo er vor einigen Jahren herumgereicht wurde,hier auf YT zu sehen, es wollten ihn Leute fertigmachen, die nicht annähernd seine Größe und Präsenz haben, dumme Fernseh-Fuzzis, die glauben, sie wären jemand...und die Postings darunter - zum Speibn! Darum habe ich dieses Vid gemacht, das ihm zur Ehre gereicht, und hier darf nicht jeder posten - Zensur hihi! Der Berger is aber so exzentrisch, i glaub, ihm is wurscht...

Ja, war er... und sehr talentiert, wie du sagst..Er hat zu trinken begonnen, und sicher noch andere "Sachen" konsumiert...hat sich aber wieder erfangen, ist aber angebl. ziemlich pleite und lebt seit 5 Jahren wieder in Salzburg bei seiner Mutter. Aber das Leben, das er hatte, kann ihm keiner mehr nehmen, und man kann sich denken, wie interessant und aufregend es war...Wer so hoch oben war, kann auch sehr tief abstürzen - Mein Gott na, da is a ned da Anzige...ewig schad' um ihn...

Very underrated actor, he was superb in Conversation Piece, but in The Damned he chilled me as that vile peodo. I think the director delibrately did this to show that monsters can be very attractive but inside they are vile. Happy Birthday tomorrow Helmut.

Hi Pete, danke! "Divo" ist angebracht, seine sexuelle Orientierung geht mich nichts an (und nicht nur seine). Er war ein ganz Großer, er hat stets Top-Filme gedreht, wo ER war, muß einer erst mal gewesen sein...Ich stufe ihn als 100% Kosmopoliten ein. Versoffen -und peinlich- war auch euer Juhnke, allerdings KEIN Weltstar. Wer kann sich schon anmaßen, zu (ver)urteilen? "Melange" sagt man in Wien zu Milchkaffee, nicht zu Menschen. Beste Grüße
