there are currently 3 flying PAK-FA T-50 aircraft flying and they are still being developed and produced (i think, could be wrong) but i know its first flight was early 2010.
So yes, the PAK FA is 'true' and has been for some time now.
@HauptmannRob Yes, only prototypes are flying now. Of course you saw the one catch on fire on the runway. There is still much development to do before this thing could ever be put into production, at least 5 years away! By then it will have been changed significantly. It may never be produced in 5 years it may be obsolete. Look at the su37 and su47 they both made it this far and then program killed! No pak fart is not a real thing until it reaches production!

Personally i don't rate the PAK FA very highly (mainly due to my ignorance of what it can do), but i'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

You like most people on here are speaking from emotions, I have not seen or heard of a russian jet shooting down a US or NATO jet since Vietnam!!! Like I said in my previous post. Russia can build a sexy jet. But its guts and heart are 20 years behind the US in Technology. The technology in The Raptor is already 15 years old and the B2 and F117 is more then 30 years old now. The only bad thing about the Raptor is its operating cost per hour. No fighter in the world today can defeat a Raptor 1v1

All "stealth" fighter has only stealth capability to avoid missiles.The most of all AA or air to air missiles just ignore any kind of flares or chaffs. And yes there are fucking many radars that can track "stealth" vehicles. each X/S/C band radar able to track/locate and shot down a stealth tech. The 1960yrs produced kub destroyed 2 F117 at night 17km height. So no Stealth fighter are able to serve nowdays against 2nd world country and cant mess with 1st world countries.

@eag11e The F-22 surely isn't a "Jesus Plane". It's a great aircraft, but in the end when it comes to say comparing a F-22 with a T-50 which is another great jet. At that point it's all up to which is the better pilot. I'm not saying what particular jet that is being used isn't a factor, but when it all comes down to it - - it's the pilot's experience. And there for instance are for sure some Russian pilots that are better than American ones, and vise-a-versa.
However it's not a T50 at all...

there are currently 3 flying PAK-FA T-50 aircraft flying and they are still being developed and produced (i think, could be wrong) but i know its first flight was early 2010.
So yes, the PAK FA is 'true' and has been for some time now.

There is still much development to do before this thing could ever be put into production, at least 5 years away! By then it will have been changed significantly. It may never be produced in 5 years it may be obsolete. Look at the su37 and su47 they both made it this far and then program killed! No pak fart is not a real thing until it reaches production!

You like most people on here are speaking from emotions, I have not seen or heard of a russian jet shooting down a US or NATO jet since Vietnam!!! Like I said in my previous post. Russia can build a sexy jet. But its guts and heart are 20 years behind the US in Technology. The technology in The Raptor is already 15 years old and the B2 and F117 is more then 30 years old now. No doubt, Russia knows how to make a beautiful plane. I've seen most of them close up and the beauty begins to fade; replaced by a crude but durable fabrication method. The three things these planes lack (along with Chinese) is skin, radar and engine tech. On paper, anything can be made to look superior. Reality says they have a big signature (heat/cross), poor radar perf. and are too expensive for either country to produce in quantity.

All "stealth" fighter has only stealth capability to avoid missiles.The most of all AA or air to air missiles just ignore any kind of flares or chaffs. And yes there are fucking many radars that can track "stealth" vehicles. each X/S/C band radar able to track/locate and shot down a stealth tech. @itachiitachi1946 Sometimes mission of fighter force is to protect larger bomber force. I have seen pilots brag about getting a kill on a fighter that sacrificed itself to protect a bomber formation. The killing pilot thought he had achieved a great victory because he had shot down a fighter. When, in reality he could not get to the bombers who leveled his base. @eag11e The F-22 surely isn't a "Jesus Plane". It's a great aircraft, but in the end when it comes to say comparing a F-22 with a T-50 which is another great jet. At that point it's all up to which is the better pilot. I'm not saying what particular jet that is being used isn't a factor, but when it all comes down to it - - it's the pilot's experience. And there for instance are for sure some Russian pilots that are better than American ones, and vise-a-versa.
