i am a survivor of hurricane katrina the only that saved us was how big our house was. We lived in the maple ridge subdivision in covington la a tree came right through the living room we were in the kitchen im 14 now.
Yep, it was one massive mess. I'm glad you made it out alive!! I went through Hurricane Betsy when I was very young, and I will never forget how destructive that was. Same with Katrina.
I think i have post dramatic stress because of this storm... i have bad dreams about bad storms and everytime i hear that noise from the video above it gives me the chills..... who dat!
Oh lord, I remember that! I was at my folks home in Franklinton. Every time the wind blew it sounded like a freight train and we sat and watched the big pines fall.
God Bless Louisiana and the survivors of Hurricane Katrina.
Yeah, we were lucky. We only had $11,000 in damage. It could have easily been WAY worse. All of my neighbors had worse damage than us. Of the 6 closest houses, every one of them had a tree in their roof.
I live in Covington and was here for Katrina too. Great video. People still can't really imagine what that day was like! Videos show alot but it's nothing close to being here that day! I hope it never happens again! Scariest day of my life! Along with the days that followed!
Wow, that had to be scary. Especially with all those tall trees and strong winds.
