Hey guys, I think that planet Master Chiefs landing on is the Forrunner ( spellings wrong I know) home world, or maybe Onyx or ( was that destroyed?) another shield world, But I doubt it's Reach... Maybe it is but we'll find out soon enough.
Only an idiot would have believed after seeing this that Master Chief's story wouldnt continue....especially that Legendary Ending is so damn obvious....and Microsoft certainly isnt ready to kill off their most succesfull game series just yet....
But what I do hope is that this trilogy will bring Master Chief's storyline to it's final end one way or another and what I hope even more is that Halo 4 would be the launch title for nex-gen Xbox, Anniversary is the perfect way to end Halo's for 360.

@mjames4373 Actually Halo 4 has been announced at the Electronic Entertainment Expedition 2011, it is confirmed to be released in Summer, 2012 and there is a Teaser Trailer that has been released for it if you search on YouTube or other video - sharing web - sites.

I still like playing Halo 3 multiplayer and the whole Halo series is my favorite of all time. One thing that sucked was that my birthday is on September 25 and I didn't have Halo 3 or a Xbox 360.
@iLikeLawngnomes If you read the book Ghosts of Onyx. It's exactly what the planet is... He's going to reunite with some of the Spartans that are MIA and he's gonna reunite with Dr. Halsey... So I'm assuming in the next game he's gonna take on the Forerunner technology and fight the creators who made robots like 343 Guilty Spark. It will only make sense if you read the HALO books.
@SombraAztecaS13 Its Not ONYX, Onyx was completely Obliterated and the whole structure of the Planet was destroyed. Trillions of Sentinels were then set to kill anything that came into that System, The rest of the Spartans survived inside a Micro-Dyson-Sphere.
Halo 4 shows us no Sentinels which means it CANNOT be Onyx, A full planet not a destroyed one + Frank O'Connor already confirmed it is a NEW Planet.
Also Onyx is on the other side of the Galaxy, past earth therefore its not possible.
@albertwesker1337 reach was horseshit compared to halo 3. what a lame excuse for an update on the game. they packaged together everything halo players didn't want and changed the game slightly.. armor abilities were just plain stupid and not even a mixup on the gameplay. the multiplayer was a complete boring fail

At the end you could see the music got suspicious and you say that ring thing. Well if you look closely that's the outside of what's the big giant death star thing from the halo 4 trailer. Cause if you look closely you can see there are lights on it like there was on the trailer.
Well at the end of reach if you look to your right in the cutscene, you see master chief in the capsule. But reach was based before halo 1 as the elites are still in charge and their is more then one Spartan. So a conclusion that I'm coming to is the phrase " it may take some time till somebody finds us, years even" I think is implying they went through a wormhole and were pushed back in time for the inhabitants of reach to find them.

I am not anti-Halo it a fun game though i play Call of Duty now, but all i have to say is this. Please don't hate on me.
I think Halo 3 should have been the ending. Halo 3 ended leaving the players speechless. The battle of Halo was finished. Guilty spark destroyed. The coninent returning home. and with the huge cliff hanger ending it left players thinking and wondering what would become of Master Chief. It was the end to an epic sci-fi game series.
@MrMatto91 Good point you have, but Microsoft could have left it handing. In doing so though the don't get anymore money out of an amazing game series as Halo. I'm not sure if I prefer them stoping it at halo 3 or continueing. But i also wouldn't want them to try so hard to improve and end up ruining the future games like the Call of Duty series seems to heading. Wish the best for the two series, I'm sure the'll wonderful jobs on their future games.

The Micro Dyson sphere is located in a factually compressed Slipstream space, Not in a shield world (Onyx is destroyed FYI in case you try too say its still intact).
@TBEClanMovies I know Onyx was destroyed, or at least dispersed. Wasn't it made entirely out of Onyx Sentinels? They might be in a micro-dyson-sphere, but there was still grass and rocks and sky and things, were there not? Is that place not shielded in some way?

@azbmxer11 The Forerunners were an ancient race that took care of all life in the galaxy until the Flood came. The were fighting a losing battle so they decided to build the Halo rings. These were designed to decimate anything with enough mass and intelligence to support the Flood, including them. They worked. Now John-117 lured the entirety of the Flood to a ring OUTSIDE the galaxy and fired it, leaving the galaxy unharmed. He didn't manage to escape so went into cryo.

@chooser101 some of the people from bungie, the ones who love halo the most, are who make up 343 industries which is who are going to make halo 4. So be happy :)
@leeshie7878 The only time Chief was in the background in a easter egg was in Halo: Reach. At certain points in the game where if you look up at the sky you see his helmet. You can clearly see it in the opening cutscene for the level Lone Wolf.
If u ask me, the only reason Bungie made Reach was to teach people like me who never read the books about Reach. This way, when halo 4 came out, we would know what planet chief was on (reach) so we wouldn't be confused. I believe MC will land on Reach and have to fight off the covenant so the humans can live there, and we might learn a little about his life and training and such. He might also learn about all the spartans or meet a few that maybe holed up underground or about the nobles.
No, that is not Reach. Reach was glassed already, the Covenant have nothing to gain from staying there, so even if it were Reach, there'd by no one to fight. And Reach wouldn't have a huge port that could pull in ships. That planet is probably a Forerunner Shield World, something only one game and a book have covered.
Bungie is 343 , it's just some of the main writers / employees we know and love are in bungie still 343 wont screw up halo If they do bungie will use their ban hammer ;)

To be honest I kind of wish they could end it at this.
They can't kill the chief cause there would be mass Riots but a fairy tale ending wouldn't have been right.
This is to be honest the Perfect Ending. The covenent is pretty much done with, the floods carced it so another game isn't needed.

@iLikeLawngnomes If you read the book Ghosts of Onyx. It's exactly what the planet is... He's going to reunite with some of the Spartans that are MIA and he's gonna reunite with Dr. Halsey... So I'm assuming in the next game he's gonna take on the Forerunner technology and fight the creators who made robots like 343 Guilty Spark. It will only make sense if you read the HALO books.

@SombraAztecaS13 Its Not ONYX, Onyx was completely Obliterated and the whole structure of the Planet was destroyed. Trillions of Sentinels were then set to kill anything that came into that System, The rest of the Spartans survived inside a Micro-Dyson-Sphere.
Halo 4 shows us no Sentinels which means it CANNOT be Onyx, A full planet not a destroyed one + Frank O'Connor already confirmed it is a NEW Planet.
Also Onyx is on the other side of the Galaxy, past earth therefore its not possible.

Well at the end of reach if you look to your right in the cutscene, you see master chief in the capsule. But reach was based before halo 1 as the elites are still in charge and their is more then one Spartan. So a conclusion that I'm coming to is the phrase " it may take some time till somebody finds us, years even" I think is implying they went through a wormhole and were pushed back in time for the inhabitants of reach to find them.

I am not anti-Halo it a fun game though i play Call of Duty now, but all i have to say is this. Please don't hate on me.
I think Halo 3 should have been the ending. Halo 3 ended leaving the players speechless. The battle of Halo was finished. Guilty spark destroyed. The coninent returning home. and with the huge cliff hanger ending it left players thinking and wondering what would become of Master Chief. It was the end to an epic sci-fi game series.

I'm not sure if I prefer them stoping it at halo 3 or continueing. But i also wouldn't want them to try so hard to improve and end up ruining the future games like the Call of Duty series seems to heading. The Micro Dyson sphere is located in a factually compressed Slipstream space, Not in a shield world (Onyx is destroyed FYI in case you try too say its still intact).

@azbmxer11 The Forerunners were an ancient race that took care of all life in the galaxy until the Flood came. The were fighting a losing battle so they decided to build the Halo rings. These were designed to decimate anything with enough mass and intelligence to support the Flood, including them. They worked. Now John-117 lured the entirety of the Flood to a ring OUTSIDE the galaxy and fired it, leaving the galaxy unharmed. He didn't manage to escape so went into cryo.

If u ask me, the only reason Bungie made Reach was to teach people like me who never read the books about Reach. This way, when halo 4 came out, we would know what planet chief was on (reach) so we wouldn't be confused. I believe MC will land on Reach and have to fight off the covenant so the humans can live there, and we might learn a little about his life and training and such. He might also learn about all the spartans or meet a few that maybe holed up underground or about the nobles.

No, that is not Reach. Reach was glassed already, the Covenant have nothing to gain from staying there, so even if it were Reach, there'd by no one to fight. And Reach wouldn't have a huge port that could pull in ships. That planet is probably a Forerunner Shield World, something only one game and a book have covered.
