The entire idea is a farce, don't buy into it. The process of taking a multi-tracked audio file and running it thru a program to produce multiple individual tracks of MIDI does not exist. Period. If you know anything about how mulitrack audio is mixed/produced/mastered, you know this to be true.

But even it won't take a track of multiple instruments (i.e., mp3/wav) and separate it into a collection of midi tracks that represent each instrument. Its only good for single-instrument tracks where the notes share a common tonal characteristic (piano, guitar, etc.) The concept behind Melodyne is pretty cool, but is still subject to quite a bit of error (and can require some pretty meticulous editing) due to missed/incorrect/overtone notes.
This reminds me Rocksmith game soon to come out :). They also call it amazing. In real time it recognizes guitar chords LOL. Please post as reply to rocksmith ads to save 80 bucks for unsuspecting ppl. This is the best demo of adio to midi

@ZlutyPanter You have to mess with the settings to get it accurate. I got a more expensive program that does this by using torrents and you have to mess with the settings to get it accurate. It only works for single note melodies like singing or playing single notes on guitar or piano, if you try to use complex songs with multiple instruments and stuff it will just make a bunch of crap noise because the software cant recognize it properly
