  • it sucks because they have to lipsync live. and though I don't know much about KC and the Sunshine band, I thought it was a mixed band. He's the only white dude up there. I wonder if the business suits chose to bring in others?

  • There are three white guys

  • @shamrock1014 Normally? I did finally see the second one but I think the other is Asian, isn't he? anyways this is a decent song.

  • Those outfits are rad!

  • Evidently Harry Wayne Casey liked it Black.....uh huh uh huh

  • @nealadams70 Maybe so, but if he liked it "Black" it would have been Black men...There were THOUSANDS of disappointed girl groupies at his concerts. I never met him, but I know keyboard player Deb Hall (wife of drummer Willie Hall of the Blues Brothers movie) of his from the 90's band and she said it was so...

  • I pity the Millennial generation who have no idea of the great times they missed in the 70s and 80s. People were freer back then, more real and not as shallow.

  • My heart goes out to the folks who were not born until the 80's and beyond.... we did some serious jamming back then.

  • TK Records, KC's label, was founded and owned by Henry Stone, who helped produce James Brown's first hit, "Please, Please, Please." The funk heard here is no accident. I always loved the Sunshine Band.

  • The 70's & 80's was probably the worst fashion era.....but no one knew cause we were all too busy having fun & yes those were the good ol' days.

  • @MsKittenz1 the clothes were different. they will say that about what people are wearing today. but the polyester made people sweat because it didn't breath. and when you have long hair, it's hot outside and hair club for men didn't exist just yet.. you had a lot of sweaty looking bald 30-40 year olds

  • DIG THOSE FANCY PANTS!!!

  • I was iat Jones Commercial HS downtown Chicago when this show was on in the afternoon, the girls would rush to go dance on the show.

  • How the hell 1 person NOT like this GETTING DOWN & F U N K Y ? O_o 1970 and the 80's was the last best years USA had the most freedom of music and TOTAL WILD SEXY OUTFITS worn in public that cant get away with nowadays

  • @OLDSCHOOLHHSEX Um, I was a kid during those eras and I do.not.miss.the.clothes. LOL.

  • @donaldagoncalves If you was actually forced to wear the TOO OVER THE TOP wild funky disco style from peer pressure, thats understandable, but guess what happens when narrow minded people in politics takes away the centouries old freedoms AND WILD CULTURE;)p) that our USA took too much for granted?-that freedom get taken from you

  • @OLDSCHOOLHHSEX I was a teenager and I loved growing up in this time. The music, the clothes, and wow there were so many bands all glittered out like KC and the dance moves of the soul groups. It was so much fun going to concerts and watching everyone including the guys coming in dressed up in their own style just doing their thing. Going to the shopping center trying to find those perfect platform shoes or feathered earrings. It was a funky good time.

  • Dig those crazy horn players & all the costumes! Good times!

  • "American Soul Band Train" with a New Host & the Best Dancers in 2013 AD?

  • American Bandstand in Philadelphia, PA. & Soul Train in California were the only 2 best well known music dances show live @ that time. It's the best I ever seen. I've seen it on TV every Saturday afternoon after the Cartoons. Soul Train Dancers were the best while American bandstand [Dick Clark] was the best host of the show.
