Of course you can OD on ganj, you just turn white (green) and become incapacitated untill you either get some sugar in you or it passes. @Mattiphone3743 it is nearly physically impossible to OD on pot by smoking it. You simply cannot ingest enough fast enough. A concentrated THC tea would probably be the way to achieve it.
actually you can OD but it is unlikely you will die the only cases of death have been due to deprivation of oxygen but not the the drugs themselves but then again you can do that with tobacco products and really anything you smoke.

@raihitler I haven't tried that combo before. I generally don't like eating pot mainly because it takes far too long to feel the effect. Also, it's a huge waste. The blood which soaks up food from your gut is diverted directly to the liver for processing. So when you eat pot, the liver gets first dibs and starts turning the THC into inactive forms which are easier for your body to piss (and excrete with bile) out. Inhaling through the lungs doesn't have this problem.
You'd have to eat about a kilogram for each kilogram you weighed. Cannabis has an extremely low toxicity rate. The only way I can possibly imagine OD'ing on it would be to obtain THC in it's purest form and taking it in high concentrations intravenously. The test they did on the monkeys back in the day to prove it caused brain damage involved them pushing roughly the equivalent of 5 joints every minute into it's face. That much smoke would brain damage anything.

Of course you can OD on ganj, you just turn white (green) and become incapacitated untill you either get some sugar in you or it passes. It'd be less unhealthy to have 50 grams of tobacco or alcohol over 50 days than 50 grams of marijuana, but the thing is with drugs like nicotine and alcohol, they're done in excess, whereas I'm not even sure if it's possible to overdose on thc (as I've heard after a certain level the body/brain stops absorbing it... though I really should do some research on the matter).

Please don't forget though that methods by which you can ingest large amounts of THC do have to potential to be harmful. Cooking THC food can do this, because you can get enough into your system before you realize something bad is happening.

@raihitler I haven't tried that combo before. I generally don't like eating pot mainly because it takes far too long to feel the effect. Also, it's a huge waste. The blood which soaks up food from your gut is diverted directly to the liver for processing. So when you eat pot, the liver gets first dibs and starts turning the THC into inactive forms which are easier for your body to piss (and excrete with bile) out. Inhaling through the lungs doesn't have this problem.

You'd have to eat about a kilogram for each kilogram you weighed. Cannabis has an extremely low toxicity rate. The only way I can possibly imagine OD'ing on it would be to obtain THC in it's purest form and taking it in high concentrations intravenously. The test they did on the monkeys back in the day to prove it caused brain damage involved them pushing roughly the equivalent of 5 joints every minute into it's face. That much smoke would brain damage anything.

I can't find exactly how THC content of marijuana is calculated, so I can't approximate how much one needs to smoke. However, the therapeutic index for THC is sited as being 1000, meaning once you feel it, you have to smoke 1000x more for the THC to do harm...
