very nice colt! like your choice in accessories! you should come by and check mine out! i think you'd like also! I got a colt 6940 with "high end" accessories also :)
I am currently building an AR right now and im stuck on the grip and rail covers. how do you like the tango down compared to the magpul MOE or the ergo grip? i want a hogue but idk if they make it in flat dark earth? and does the ladder rails help with reduce the heat from the rails? thanks for your time, and beautiful weapon!
Love your channel. Thanks for all the effort and time you guys put into everything you do. But Im just curious. What makes a RRA lower with a CMT upper and BCG a Colt M4? LMAO
Seriously though, love you vids and the support you guys put into the firearms community!!!!!!
I'll start with this TO EACH HIS OWN ! All that means is that it's your weapon build it how you see fit ! I'm keeping mine practical simply becouse I know it works, and saves on weight. Money and weight are the big problems for most of us. A normal COLT M4, free flaoting frontend, flip up front/rear sights, and EO TECH, and a 3x behind that on top, with a forward grip, and my own paint job.
its very obvious you've never handled an AR before. you shouldn't tell other people how to handle there firearms if you dont know what you are talking about.
@Jackafur I didn't mean to insult your knowledge and experience you probably have with be one of many variants of the AR-15 so I am sorry I did that. I have over 12 years of experience with the M16A2, and M4 as I am in the military. I have been deployed 3 times with either an M16A2 or an M4 of which I current carry with an EOTEC. From day one, we are taught and drilled over firearm safety, and I take firearm safety very seriously as I have seen many ugly incidents due to negligence.
alright well when you put it that way... I was being a dick. sorry. I probably come off as a snotty brat. Im not super experienced with the AR platform. I just own a colt 6520... but you're right gun safety is very important. you just made a minor mistake and I acted like a jerk.
Nice vid. I don't think that you have too much on that thing depending on what you are using it for. Home defense.... a bit much. But that thing will get heavy if you lug it around for a day. and i tried the whole dual mag thing in Iraq, i kept forgeting to use the mag on the weapon. So i dumped it. And the extra mag weight sucked for patrols. so how much you spend?
I have a LMT Monolithic 16in gas piston upper with phantom 2 flash hider and gen 3 tac latch. My lower is made by spikes tactical has a rebuilt trigger, anti walk pins, over sized trigger guard, ergo grip, magpull butt stalk, amp safeties and magpull BAD lever. i opted for a two dot NVG compatable Eotech (dont remember name of the model) and three time magnifier. i got magpull back up irons that co witness. and replaced the front site post with a Tritium post.
@SNAFU1775 Do you like the BAD lever? I am thinking about getting one for my current project, but have never used it and really want the ambi-bolt control ability, but live in a northern environment and warm gloves are non-negotiable 4-5 months of the year. Do you get caught-up on it with it being through the trigger guard? I will be adding the Magpul enhanced trigger-guard so that will help with the gloves. Just curious.
@RavenZ27 I like the BAD lever and i dont have problems with the lever engaging while i have cold weather gloves on as long as i have the over sized trigger guard. however. I do have problems using the Bad lever while i am stressed at times. I am marine corps trained not to use one so i still tend to slap the side of the weapon while i am engaging my threat. During weapon malfunctions is where the BAD lever truely excels. i can clear double feeds in about three seconds while using the lever.
@RavenZ27 Durring clearing my double feeds my hand never leaves the pistol grip of the system as well eleaviating bad habits. i will be posting a vid within the next couple of days from yesterday showing myself clearing a double feed due to my crappy military mags during a mag change drill. if you have any other questions feel free to ask.
@RavenZ27 Just up loaded the vid. i did use my trigger hand in the the video to charge the system in this one though. Bad habits are still hard to break
Nice rifle. the latch for your bolt carrier protrudes way to far. if that got caught up while engaging your weapon you may not be able to fire your weapon. i've seen those latches get hooked on tactical vests before.
While some of these things are helpful, I have to agree with the other person that mentioned skill and experience makes the real difference. It doesn't matter what kind of attachments you have if you don't know how to use it. I also find that some spray paint and burlap does a much better job of camouflaging a rifle than the Coyote Tan or OD Green parts do. I also don't get why you would weigh down an AR with these parts. AR's replaced the M1 Garand and M14 because of their weight.
@SomeRandomSomething Once you've added all of these attachments, you've turned a 7 pound rifle into an 11 pound anchor. I would just prefer to carry a standard M14 for the same weight. The only real difference in weight between your AR and an M14 is the ammunition. However, when you compare the stopping power of 5.56x45mm NATO with 7.62x51mm NATO, I think the added weight is well worth it.
I suggest you learn what the parts DO before you disregard them completely.. you have no idea what those parts weigh if you think this is a "heavy" AR
@SomeRandomSomething The m14 weighs about 11.5 lbs without any attachments, an Ar-15 with a 16" HBAR and all these attachments weighs probably around 7 lbs. Yes, you're right, skill tends to be the deciding factor in combat but enhancements can do just that, enhance the weapon and it's effectiveness.
hallo, I am trying to design a mix between a survival rifle and an assault rifle. With assault rifle I mean a firearm that you can defend yourself with. I would really appreciate if you guys could send me tips about weight, caliber, length, stock, break open or semi auto or bolt action, side by side or over and under, camo or not, etc to rifledesign@hotmail.com . i have a question, does flat dark earth or desert tan accessories make the M4 look cool or something. dont get the point of have F.D.E or D.T. accessories on a M4, can you please write back.
@GunWebsites Yeah, cause it's the original black grips that will expose your location when moving in the desert, not the 6.7 ft guy (and his 40K of gear) that holds it. Ever wondered why is it that people who actually use guns to stay alive, don't use all this bullshit? this gun looks like some kid's airsoft gun. I like your vids, but really, don't confuse all this toys with what's realy makes a different - skill and experience. it's not the number of rails or their color that matters.
Actually Mr. Gun-Pro - It is a well known fact that rifles in dark earth / coyote brown have a lower IR signature and blend in more with a natural back ground when viewed through thermal / IR. It is also a better base for any future camo'n by the operator... ---- that is why the Army is requesting its next small arm be in dark earth...
You know-it-alls are always quick to insult but lack any knowledge...
@0SumProductions - bollocks. IR signature depends on the temperature of the object, not its color. brighter objects tend to absorb less heat than darker, and that's might be the reason for black parts to be more visible on thermal. But the hand guard or butt-stock's heat signature are completely irrelevant in the field. After one round shot, your gun is ten times hotter than anything around it. Before the shot, you make a much hotter IR sign than any part of the gun.
That wasn't opinion jackass that is fact moron! You call BS and then state that color does depend on how much solar energy is absorbed... You're a fucktard...
The clothing and gear you wear and how much suns energy is reflected greatly minimizes or increases your signature... Until you actually serve in the military you best STFU when it comes to inserting your uninformed opinions about what the 'pros' use and don't use and why... Turd...
A year ago you left this moronic message and I just now have had a chance to reply to it... You are an idiot - you don't think color affects the ability of an object to reflect or absorb heat? Do you even understand what color is? An object that is darker absorbs more wavelengths of visible light which in turn that absorbed energy results in heat - lighter objects reflect more visible light and therefore are cooler. Even in the darkest night there is visible light present...
@yonataneshel the main purpose of the gear on this rifle is to help the person with the skill and experience to be more effecient at what they are doing. Yes i agree with you skill and experience is what makes a soldier/marine/police officer a good shooter. But any thing that can be used to make him better use it. Theres not one thing on this rifle that i see that should not be on there.
@yonataneshel the main purpose of the gear on this rifle is to help the person with the skill and experience to be more effecient at what they are doing. I know this is an older comment, but I'm not sure what experience you have with the military (if any). If you had, you'd notice that the SOCOM guys usually run a lot of items on their rifles. Optics, PEQs, etc. Sure, your regular grunt will have a pretty stripped down rifle, but a regular grunt's rifle wasn't selected/outfitted because it was the "best" for their use (the military is cheap), nor should it be a standard for measure.
I love how you mounted the Surefire(?) I have the same light and have been using a tape switch with too much flex cord. I switched pack to the pressure switch and it works fine by using my thumb with or without a foregrip.
I see that some of your rifles use RRA and some like the Afgan use a Noveske lower. Which do you like more? Do you find that the RRA have less play between the lower and upper?
Sick weapon, I'm about 60% there. I'm going with a pressure padded laser instead of a flashlight. Do you have the 3x quick connect for the Aimpoint? It's super fast. I love mine
gorgeous weapon... dont let these bitch boys that are complaining about the weight of your weapon get you down. Just built one myself but I might consider some of your mods...
@techcapsule I agree, it doesnt matter what your rifle weighs, as long as you dont get too over the top and everything has a purpose. Yours is good BTW. Great vid
@techcapsule carry your weapon in a tactical situation and the weight will get to to u. i might add though that this guy honestly doesnt have an extreme amount of mods, he just mad sure to get every thing in the desert tan which makes it seem like he has alot on there. but all in all this rifle is more show then go
that M4 is like a lable whore...magpul ,tangodown, LMT, badger, troy, phase5, readymag, Larue, aimpoint, viking, surefifre!!! the list goes on and on!!! CONGRATS!!! You have a 30lb. rifle! LoL
There's a bunch, but I recommend Bravo Company USA. Deliveries are timely and for the most part the website reflects what they have and is pretty up to date.
Well, I'm sorry but I also feel same way towards Troy "Battle Sights" its just kinda spendy for what your getting in my opinion. I mean for $80 I can go out and buy a complete Mosin Nagant with all of the accesories and they want me to pay $120 for some Flip Up Rear Sight Post.
I am around always around these expensive guns and I can't afford the accessories let alone the rifles..
but it really don't get me down.. I can use my iron sights on my cheap guns and shoot just as far as these can, only not as fast or comfortable as they are
maybe you should shoot it next time....

gorgeous weapon... dont let these bitch boys that are complaining about the weight of your weapon get you down. Just built one myself but I might consider some of your mods...

@techcapsule ounces = pounds, pounds = pain
perryguy23 1 year ago
@techcapsule I agree, it doesnt matter what your rifle weighs, as long as you dont get too over the top and everything has a purpose. Yours is good BTW. Great vid
Zibigan 1 year ago
@techcapsule carry your weapon in a tactical situation and the weight will get to to u. i might add though that this guy honestly doesnt have an extreme amount of mods, he just mad sure to get every thing in the desert tan which makes it seem like he has alot on there. but all in all this rifle is more show then go

You have too much crap on your gun - it looks like something you would see in a teenager's video game.
You are totally defeating the purpose of the light, simple battle rifle.
Embarrasing.
Stop reading gun magazines from the drug store.

There's a bunch, but I recommend Bravo Company USA. Deliveries are timely and for the most part the website reflects what they have and is pretty up to date.

What's the best website to buy m4 accessories?

your weapon is off safe soldier!!!!!!
rd231982 2 years ago
you know when the bolt is closed on an empty chamber and the trigger pulled that it can not return to 'safe' right?
GunWebsites 2 years ago
i am aware thanks bro i was just saying is all i was'nt trying to be a prick. Nice weapon by the way.
rd231982 2 years ago
ahh OK my bad
I was going through a bunch of comments and soo many of them are negative it gets tough to tell sarcasm from humor after a while
GunWebsites 2 years ago
How much was the bolt release?
warnerd14 2 years ago
I think $60-70
But Magpul released their BAD for a bit less
GunWebsites 2 years ago
HOLY SH!T, talk about an overpriced piece of aluminum.
warnerd14 2 years ago
really can you put it into production to an un-known size market for less?
It may be more than you want to pay, but after using it more I feel it's more of a bargain all the time.
I'll wait to defend it too much till I've seen the BAD
GunWebsites 2 years ago
Well, I'm sorry but I also feel same way towards Troy "Battle Sights" its just kinda spendy for what your getting in my opinion. I mean for $80 I can go out and buy a complete Mosin Nagant with all of the accesories and they want me to pay $120 for some Flip Up Rear Sight Post.
warnerd14 2 years ago
Beauty of the USA is you can feel that way and buy your MN and laugh at the guys buying troy sights all the way to the bank
just don't get sore when they are laughing at you too
GunWebsites 2 years ago
Yeah I understand just pisses me off sometimes cause I don't make alot of money ;(
warnerd14 2 years ago
I know what you mean..
I am around always around these expensive guns and I can't afford the accessories let alone the rifles..
but it really don't get me down.. I can use my iron sights on my cheap guns and shoot just as far as these can, only not as fast or comfortable as they are
GunWebsites 2 years ago
how much money was this gun and everything on it?.
Also, what is the difference between an AR-15 and an M4A1?
bmx65 2 years ago
I know it cost quite a bit, but I didn't build it.
GunWebsites 2 years ago
Biggest difference
AR-15 = semi auto
M4-A1 = Full auto (well 3 shot burst)
GunWebsites 2 years ago
whats the auto version?
bmx65 2 years ago
full auto = more than one bullet is shot with one pull of the trigger
GunWebsites 2 years ago
which m4 is the auto version i meant.
bmx65 2 years ago
well, the internet says "M4A1 has a "full auto" option in place of the three-round burst."
GunWebsites 2 years ago
doesnt Knights Armorment make M4's?
Oxstayne 2 years ago
I don't think knights makes an M4
GunWebsites 2 years ago
do they use these types of M4s in the military?
xxMafia101 2 years ago
very close but the military one would be 100% Colt parts and they don't get issued the accessories
Of course the military one would have the ability to shoot full auto or 3 round burst
GunWebsites 2 years ago
wow that must cost alot!
shitpickle1128 2 years ago
Not too much, more than a cheap AR, but less than a real expensive one
GunWebsites 2 years ago
I thought 14.5" barrels were illegal.
bmx65 2 years ago
not illegal, but a rifle with a barrel under 16" would be illegal (since 1934)
However 14.5" barrels are popular and they are legal if you either;
- Register the rifle as an SBR (Short Barrel Rifle)
or
- Permanently attach a 2" muzzle device
GunWebsites 2 years ago
does it shoot 5.56 or something else
heal22 2 years ago
This is a standard 5.56x45 caliber AR-15 (M4)
