This is idiotic. This was the United States, not colonies. The narrator must think this took place in the Revolutionary War instead of the War of 1812. Get your facts straight, man!!
Why do people feel compelled to make up this drivel? The true story of Fort McHenry is beautiful as it is. There were not 10 male prisoners on board the ship--just 1. There were no women in the fort. The flag didn't fall down. The entire British navy was not shelling the fort. It's all--or mostly all--bogus. What a waste of time.
Thomas "Tom" Paine (February 9, 1737 [O.S. January 29, 1736[1]] -- June 8, 1809) was one of the Founding Fathers of the United States. He became notorious because of The Age of Reason (1793--94), his book that advocates deism, promotes reason and freethinking, argues against institutionalized religion and Christian doctrines.
I couldn't stop the tears listening to this story even if it's not how it actually happened. And certainly not because those men died while holding up some flag but because they were willing ti give up their lives for what that flag meant as a symbol of freedom!
Sadly these freedom loving men are rolling in their graves when they see how the land they gave up their lives for willingly chose a government as oppressive as the empire they fought and died against.
I have a question. This basic script has been posted several times by different users. It is so full of distortions, errors, and exaggerations that I can't imaging they were included by mistake. My question:: why is it that some people do not seem to think that the true history of our great Country is good enough? Why all the lies? IMHO whoever posts this kind of drivel are not true American patriots and should be ashamed of themselves.
Why do people find it necessary to embellish and falsify stories that are heroic and truthful in their own right?
This version is so wrought with errors, it shouldn't be allowed on You Tube.
We were an independent nation - not colonies - during the War of 1812. It was Fort McHenry - not Fort Henry. Key's mission was to negotiate the release of a planter friend, not all the prisoners. He wasn't allowed to stay on the ship but was sent to another during the bombardment. LEAVE HISTORY ALONE!
This video clip is embarrassing and, as a former history teacher, I would have to fail the writer of the script for gross historical inaccuracy. There are so many factual errors and exaggerations as to render the story meaningless. Why do people feel the need to lie in order to encourage patriotism? It cheapens the very real acts heroism and sacrifices that have actually been made for this Nation.
Your history is all wrong. America was a Republic in the War of 1812. There were no colonies. There were no children and women in the fort. It was Ft.Mc Henry not Fort Henry. I am a descendant of several defenders of Baltimore.
Your history is a complete lie. Please read your history. This is ridiculous and ignorant. Who was the moron who wrote this. By the way, there were only 2 to 3 men killed at the fort.

Your vid is so full of nonsense that it is pathatic! Tell the truth about the Baltle of Baltimore. There were no prisoners of war ob board the ship Francis Scott Key was on. Fort McHenry was a military fort and not a haven for women and children. The water batteries were manned by navy personel blockaded in Baltimore. I am in Baltimore and we take our history very serious. The the real story of the heroic defense that helped end the War of 1812.
alot of people forget that this song was written at a time when americans were fighting for theyr freedom against tyranny....now, when i see the flag of america, i think of tyranny....our government and the people that support it, have destroyed america...this is no longer a land of the free, it is the land of oppressive government and dictatorship...a land where the government is the master, and the people are subjects of the master...the opposite of the america over 200 years ago

the us is a fool for being flag worshipers, that flag means nothing its just cloth and what it does stand for is american imperialism, colonialism, aggression and terror towards many people in many countries all over the world! i understand people have died for that flag, but not for the flag or the people in the government who claim that flag, but for the values to which it used to symbolize that fascist republicans/democrats in the government and and all kinds of criminals have torn apart
If you notice, this is the story of the war of 1812. This story is about a time in American history, before the constitution was perverted to the extent we see today. I agree with you about the 2 party system. I would never enlist in the military today, unless I believe in the unconstitutional wars they are fighting, after I would take my oath, I would know immediately that my superiors were disobeying their oath,
@troyg19 The military doesnt need turds like you who pick and choose their orders. Unfortunatley, Obama is destroying the last great patriotic place for Americans to serve.
And YOU have done what to fix anything? Your talk is cheap! The flag is a symbol, a symbol of our country. So are our monuments and military gravesites. You are like a pidgeon that craps on them. If a flag means nothing, then you will have no problem with someone flying the CSA flag, the National Socialist flag or the KKK flag on our public places? They mean nothing, right? "Thou art a stupid human".
@tomasbermea Thats whats great about America, your free to leave. I see you live in the US and take advantage of all its freedom. I dare you to move to one of these places you say we terrorize and stay there. Your one of the worthless people who dont deserve your freedoms my friends have died for. You should get down on your knees and thank God for such a place to be born in. Instead of baseless accusations why dont you do something about it.

Who's voice narrates this? This is so meaning full and teaches us more respect for the American Flag. I'll never look at our American Flag the same:-) Thank you!
Nationalism is a far more harmful and dangerous religion than Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, Paganism, Satanism, Atheism, or Darwinism.
Think like an Anarchist - Live like a Pacifist, Peace.
Remember the terrible price that was paid for this country to be free. There are traders to our country plotting to deny you those had won freedoms and kill or enslave you. In memory of those who pied the ultimate price stand up for your freedom and let no one take it from you without a fight. Over the next 15 or so years you will see that I am right.
Great but false story according to the Smithsonian Institution's web site and all the others I googled. Unfortunately I showed this to my kids before I verified it's authenticity. Please verify the facts first, before putting something like this up. I now feel like an ass for believing this and passing it along before I verified it. It was a great story of heroism and I would be proud to be part of the stories heritage, but not if it's false.
I with they would teach this in our public schools, when I was in public school in the 1970s we had to memorize the preamble to the Constitution, I can still remember it. Now it's about getting test scores passed and teaching an agenda.
@unsheepled Wow, I never knew that when i made this video. What are the ODDS??? LMAO
It was an honor to have alex Jones air this video on his show. They changed it up a bit at the end and the places where there is only black space. But it was my video. The audio recording or video did not exsist on youtube till I uploaded this, and since then many people have copied it from me. But hey, thats fine.
I repair flags nationwide and with each flag I become more of a Patriot. I love our History, I love our country. It's too bad that our children are no longer learning about this great nation and the people who gave their lives so that we could have FREEDOM like no other country on this planet
Understand smethng about US children. They are now so swollen with tchnlgy before they ever set foot in school. Teachers have to spend all of their time trying to teach them to read and write. "motherless child". He has no time to learn hstry because his prnts did not teach him his ABC,s This very day I had 500 kids re-enact this very event in an elmntry school. I'll find a way to teach them to be Patriots, while I am still convicted to teach them to read. Crisis in the home friends
The video calls the states colonies. This happened in 1814: 38 years after independence. There was only one prisoner. It's fort McHenry, not Fort Henry, as the video calls it. the British did not have hundreds of ships, they had 19. The fort did not have women and children. Damage to the fort was minimal and the fort suffered only four fatalities. There was no need for the wounded and dead to prop up the unharmed flag pole.
This video is utter crap. You can't just invent your own history because it's more theatrical. The battle of for McHenry was Nothing like what was depicted here.
So if you think you are right- prove it post a link to how it really happened. Just because you say it did not happen this way does not make it so- back up your statement with proof.
Fort McHenry protects Baltimore harbor. The Americans had sunk ship in the harbor to prevent the British from sailing into Baltimore. They couldn't even get close to the fort to do any real damage. The large flag wasn't made until later.
This video has no regard to historical fact at ALL. Teaching it would be a travesty.
With Ron Paul losing this election I pray to god every day, he was our only hope to once again be free & independent. To think this all could have been stopped with President Kennedy but they robbed that from us & now our last hope has failed. What is left for the American people who desire so much to be free? Revolution is the only answer how sad that is the evil & corrupt in this world has once again got so far that blood must be shed just to prove that we will die before we are slaves.
I have the ability to leave America, that sir, is not slavery. Why would you make a conspiracy only to harm and not make a resolution that can work for all. Revolution against what is right is a broken light in a dark cave, it does not work.
So before you resemble a mouthpiece for the NWO, you should go find somewhere to blab about "Revolution against what is right" speech.
The fact is, the united states of america is a communist country. Its time to start treating it like it was founded; As the supreme law of the land (U.S. Constitution) has defined it as a republican form of government. Article IV, Section 4. If Revolution is what it takes, then so be it. Let their be blood.
AS far as the British were concerned at the time, the Revolutionary War was an illegal act. They still considered the States as colonies. It wasn't till the time close to the Civil War that most of the Brits finally relented and acknowledged the colonies as the United States.
This thing is full of gross inaccuracies. He keeps calling Americans "colonies" when the US was a nation by 1812. There was not shipload of prisoners, there was just one. Ft. McHenry (Not Henry) had NO women and children in it. The Britiish fleet was NOT made of hundreds of ships. The flag pole hit was not held up by a pile of dying patriots. The flag is enormous and both it and the pole could not have been held up that way. The true story is one of real heroism, but this is just crap.
Francis Scott Key set sail from Baltimore. His objective was to secure the release of Dr. William Beanes, the elderly and popular town physician of Upper Marlboro. During the rainy night, Key had witnessed the bombardment and observed that the forts smaller "storm flag" continued to fly, but once the shell and rocket barrage had stopped, he would not know how the battle had turned out until dawn. By then, the storm flag had been lowered, and the larger flag had been raised.
No, if you look it up you will see it was $405.90, I got that right out of an old newspaper clipping and it too is documented. Who's arguing...just setting the record straight you don't know everything and by the way, you must have a "lack of anything useful to do" since you wrote more posts than I did, big shot!!
So wait...Did the Children and Women at the Fort die because of the Bombs ??? And please..No Wiki answers....And you know what..Thats whats wrong with this country we live in. People have more faith in America then they do God...Pretty Pathetic to me..But thats my opinon..BUT America aka Babylon will fall....Thats why im about to leave this bitch....HOLLLLLLLLA
Do you look at the News..Do you research history ?? Every empire falls...And our country is about to...Our dollar is about to collaspe bro..So how is that stupid ???
Well considering that wasn't said in this, conversation, if you can even call it that, i have to assume that your retarded. I'll be quick for you. God Is NOTHING! Your god will never save anything nor pointless faith in him help anything. Shut up, until you learn enough to bring some form of intellect to the metaphorical table.
Stupid kids...I guess you didn't listen in school! The flag WAS there and if you know history, Betsy Ross sewed the first flag in 1776 and was adopted as OUR FLAG in 1777...that doesn't mean we had independence! We were a new country still fighting the British FOR our freedom!
I suppose you were there to KNOW there were no women and children...LOL...no wonder this country is in trouble!!
You called me a kid? You weren't there either, I'd venture to guess. I would also bet my salary I'm more intelligent than you, and possibly more well read. Your age means nothing. As for women and children. It was a military fort defending a major port during an invasion. THERE WERE NO WOMEN AND CHILDREN! There are these things called history books. You may want to pick one up some time.
My comment still stands, if it makes you feel more superior to puff up about your intelligence then by all means puff away, I happen to know there WERE woman in that fort as a member of my lineage was serving in Baltimore and I have documentation! The purpose of the fort was to PROTECT the people. You should try doing a bit of reading yourself .
I found unverified legend of a woman killed bringing supplies. Therefore your statement is not entirely false as such. Luckily, I at least have the integrity to make such an admission. However, as for intellectual superiority, I still am very much in control. :)
AS FAR AS THE FLAG an oversized American flag had been sewn by Mary Pickersgill for exactly $405.90 in anticipation of the British attack on the fort it was not as you stated "made later".
I believe you meant $544.74... But hey, who's counting. (You know, for that SECOND flag she made that you're ignoring...) As for checking my ego: You've called us all 'kids' but are sitting here arguing. How about checking your own lack of anything useful to do? And on that note, I'm going to take my leave of you to go take all my employees out for dinner. Have fun arguing with the 'kids.'
@NOLANRYANHOSKINS How does one man or woman hold a flagpole that was reportedly 100 feet tall? The larger flag displayed AFTER the end of the bombardment was 40' wide X 32' deep! THIRTY-TWO feet would have spanned about 1/3 of the flagpole's full height.
Refer to the Smithsonian's version. It coincides with the Francis Scott Key foundation's version.. This hype is typical of AM Hate Radio Pseudo-Patriots who get all of their info from the FAUX "News" Channel - where it is "Fairly UNbalanced".
I immediately had reservations about the factual basis of this video when the narrator repeatedly referred to the United States as "the colonies." This was the War of 1812. The United States had declared its independent in 1776 (remember) and won the American Revolution in 1783. We were no longer "the colonies."
@troyg19 The inaccuracies hurt the message. The worst part of this is that the truth is so much better! Visit the National Park Service web site nps.gov/fomc/ and see for yourself
AS far as the British were concerned at the time, the Revolutionary War was an illegal act. They still considered the States as colonies. It wasn't till the time close to the Civil War that most of the Brits finally relented and acknowledged the colonies as the United States.
What a weak excuse for attempting to change history when Francis Scott Key needs no help in remaining an American icon and patriot. The true story was heroic enough to stand on its own without your revisionist distortions. You should get the narrator to change your fairy tale. American History needs no embellishment by history hacks.
"Commerce with all nations, alliance with none, should be our motto."
Thomas Jefferson
The Constitution is the guide which I never will abandon.
George Washington
The constitution vests the power of declaring war in Congress; therefore no offensive expedition of importance can be undertaken until after they shall have deliberated upon the subject and authorized such a measure.
Oh,,, and to add one last thing. Whether or not you believe all the facts of this video.... just remember those brave soldiers that have laid down their lives for YOU, and those that are serving to this day. Their sacrifice gives YOU the right to dissent - even if you do not have the guts to put your life on the line,,, unless you call blogging 'hate' your battlefield.
Yes, plenty good American Christian Men died to give us Freedom, Liberty, and the Constitution.
However, how does going to to war without a declaration, Constitutional? How are the men dieing in Iraq protecting Freedom? Their very presence, occupying a foreign nation, is a direct violation of the Constitution, and breeds more hatred for America.
"Conquest is not in our principles. It is inconsistent with our government."
Article 1 section 8 of the Constitution deals with authorization of force by the United States of America. However, it does not state that a 'formal declaration of war' is necessary to commit the Armed Forces of the United States. Congress did pass two resolutions authorizing the President 'Commander in Chief' to use any and all means necessary to deal with the threat in Iraq.
"The Constitution is the guide which I never will abandon."
George Washington
"The constitution vests the power of declaring war in Congress; therefore no offensive expedition of importance can be undertaken until after they shall have deliberated upon the subject and authorized such a measure."
It is amazing how little people know of history. Can it be because of our liberal education system? The one that wants to rewrite history? This is a factual story, and those that rely on Wiki for their information, well, let's just say that they are sheep. The narator of this wonderful video is Dr. David Gibbs. I trust that some of those that look him up will NOT like him. He help defend Terry Shivo's right to live.. need I say more?
I have never heard of Dr. David Gibbs before. Rest assured, I am a lifelong Christian Conservative, who was a member of the republican party, till Bush started destroying the very thing that makes America, America, THE CONSTITUTION! This is a GREAT stroy, which is why I made a video out of Dr. David Gibbs story telling. However he was wrong on a few details. Research it yourself, and you'll see.
I had heard this before and it always brings tears to my eyes. As a member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution and also a member of the Mayflower Society, my country means so much to me. What our patriots have done to allow us freedoms is beyond description. We should NEVER take it for granted. Happy fourth and celebrate for the right reasons!
I absolutely love this video and sought it out as something I was exposed to as part of an MLM organization years ago.
However, per one of the previous posts. The damage and casualties at Ft. McHenry was minimal. Four killed and twenty-four wounded if Wikipedia is accurate. Great video, but factually not correct.
That's because the shells that the British used had time delay fuses that were supposed to cause the shells to explode when they reached their targets. However, they were extremely ineffective since the fuses burned too fast and cause the shells to explode before reaching the fort. Hence the line "THE BOMBS BURSTING IN AIR".
The narrator states,"... the Colonies were engaged in vicious conflict with the Mother Country Britain ...." The only problem with this statement is that this was in 1814 (during the War of 1812). The United States had already gained independence from the "Mother Country, Britain" during the American Revolution! Also, the damage to Fort McHenry was minimal; the part about the bodies of the defenders piling up as they rushed to hold the flag up ..... absolute fiction! Sorry to disappoint you.
I don't know who the narrator is in this recording. I found it in a forum. But to most people, this will make them want to research the subject themselves.
I found out that Francis Scott Key was hired by General Sam Houston to represent him in a case in "The Republic Of Texas"
I favor secession from the U.S.
Texas is the only state that can withdraw from the treaty that made it part of the U.S.
Texas was "The Republic Of Texas" it's own nation, at the time it became a state.
However I have no way for you to play this at your event, unless you hook up a computer to a projector, or a really big screen, and watch it through youtube.
You know it is good for something like this to woke us up even though it is not quite accurate. It made me search and find the truth. Francis Scott Key was a deeply religious man. At one time in his life, he almost gave up his law practice to enter the ministry.
God bless all this coming year. Praise to our LORD Jesus Christ
I am aware of the few things in this mans speech that are wrong.... however Fort McHenry is real. Francis Scott Key was real.... And the story is basically real. He watched the bombardment from a British ship. I'm not going to remove the video. As It will let people research the subject further.... which is a good thing.
I am a Ron Paul supporter. I canvass for him and have contributed financially several times. This video is an abomination of historic fact. It should be removed from the internet.
The preacher repeatedly refers to the American "colonies" which is a serious error. Ket negotiated for the release of ONE man and there was no shipload of POWs.
BTW...I am a preacher and I wouldn't be so careless with the facts.
I'm glad to hear that, but you are a minority. Preachers preach, and many a sermon has been hurriedly put together to win favor and praise from his (or her) congergation.
Twice the speaker mistakenly said Fort Henry, when infact it is called Fort McHenry. I'm guessing he has never been to Baltimore! The truth is a great story. It did not need the speakers "extra facts" But preachers do this quite often!
The point is still there and who really know how many POW's there were on either side. This was a well put together video and O commend who ever did it. There's always someone with his point of view. Hey Someone, if you know the truth put it up here.
Well, after further research I have discovered there was only one prisoner whom Key came to get. Thjere were no others on the ship. That is the truth, and the truth is always important, even if it doesn't fit someone's ideology. If that's the point of view you dislike, then that's sad.
The USA was a sovereign nation in that war, not colonies.
Key went to negotiate the release of three prisoners. There was no ship full of POWs.
The fleet was made of 19 ships, not hundreds. There were no women and children in the fort. They fired 1500 shells from well over a mile away and did not have the accuracy to knock down a flagpole.
The story as presented in this video is correct. You misread the wiki post when you saw "War of 1812".
When he saw "by the dawn's early light" of September 14, 1814, that the American flag soared above the fort, Key knew that Fort McHenry had not surrendered. Moved by the sight, he began to compose a poem on the back of a letter he was carrying.
The first documented public performance of the words and music together took place at the Holliday Street Theatre in Baltimore on October 19, 1814.
Why is this filled with evil spirit? This is what happened that very night. You should be glad that they helped give you freedoms today. God bless America and God bless the men and women who have fought and died for you. All gave some, some gave all.

I don't mean to be insulting or to generalise but why are Americans so proud of America? Surely, if it weren't for the British, America would never have been what it is today.
An if it wasn't for America Britin and France would be under German rule. My grandfather gave his life so the people of Britin and France could be free something he will never get to injoy he is berried in France
Americans are proud of the freedoms which our country was founded on in the first place. You're exactly right: if it wasn't for the British, America wouldn't be what she is today. It was because of the oppression felt by Europeans who desired religious freedom, equality, freedom from the economic system, corrupt governments, etc. However, I will say there are Americans who take this freedom for granted constantly and have no sense of unity or purpose as a citizen.

We are becoming individual isles, within a vast sea, not knowing or caring what happens to our neighbor. We need to hold each other accountable; support conservation; respect nature and our limited resources; and somehow have a voice in our communities. It takes humility and perseverance but it is not impossible. Without this, I fear we will collapse under our own gluttony, convenience, and self absorption.
It has been said that we should remember history or else be doomed to repeat it. We have to first know it to remember it. Dylan7551, hope your memory is as good as your knowlege. Good work!
The America shown in this video is dead. The Republic has been replaced my a ruthless oppressive Empire. The mainstream media here is legitimizing torture and pre-emptive strikes (so did Hitler). All the empire is missing is an emporer. Don't worry, PDD 51 will fix all that. Ron Paul did not choose to run of his own free will. He was pushed and pushed to run for the presidency until he agreed. He didn't think he'd make much of a difference but the people have found him.
scotty, Thomas Jefferson once said, "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." The Ron Paul story will outlive us all. The fate of the Republic lies in this man's hands. He is playing with fire wanting to abolish the IRS. He will kill the bank, or the bank will kill him. He is risking his life doing this. Jackson killed the bank, and the bank killed JFK. What's gonna happen this time?
This is a wonderful story and a well made video, but I wish the politics at the end could stay out of it. Seeing the endorsement of a candidate at the end took away from the emotion of the story.
This timeless story will outlive all of us and should not be connected to, or constrained by, a modern-day candidate. Would have been much more powerful without the endorsement.
If Ron Paul doesn't win, this story will be scrapped into the dustbin of history. America is on the verge of a military dictatorship, Posse Comitadus is gone, Habeas Corpus is dead. Did you know that under the Military Commisions act, the government can secretly arrest you as an enemy combatant, they won't tell you what you're being charged with, you can never see your accusers. Then they can strip you of citizenship and secretly execute you. All in between being tortured.
The American Republic shown in this video is dead. It has been replaced by an Empire. All that is missing is an emperor. Don't worry PDD 51 has that covered. Bush's grandfather was a Nazi. The head of Homeland security is an ex-Stazi spy. Torture and conquest is being legitimized in the mainstream media. The Republic is dead.
Ron Paul was pushed into running. He didn't think he could make a difference. He is playing with fire wanting to abolish the IRS. JFK was about to sign a presidential directive that would abolish the IRS and we all know what happened to him. We have put him on the altar of liberty. Thomas Jefferson once said, "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." The RP story will outlive us all. The fate of the Republic lies in this man's hands.
you don't want to use this for a ceremony, the history is pretty much all wrong. If this was done with accurate history, it would have been much better
We weren't "colonies" during the War of 1812; and Key didn't negotiate to release "prisoners". There was ONE prisoner, Dr. Beanes. Poor history lesson.

What Fort Henry? It was Fort McHenry!! Full of women and children? Predominantly NOT a Military Fort? What?
Flag in shreds? There is no indication the flag had taken hits and had fallen.
If you are going to quote the words, for goodness sakes, get them right…

I have a question. This basic script has been posted several times by different users. It is so full of distortions, errors, and exaggerations that I can't imaging they were included by mistake. My question:: why is it that some people do not seem to think that the true history of our great Country is good enough? Why all the lies? IMHO whoever posts this kind of drivel are not true American patriots and should be ashamed of themselves.

Colonies? This was the War of 1812, dude, and we had FIFTEEN STATES already.
GagMeStudios 2 years ago
The video calls the states colonies. This happened in 1814: 38 years after independence. There was only one prisoner. It's fort McHenry, not Fort Henry, as the video calls it. the British did not have hundreds of ships, they had 19. The fort did not have women and children. Damage to the fort was minimal and the fort suffered only four fatalities. There was no need for the wounded and dead to prop up the unharmed flag pole.

Fort McHenry protects Baltimore harbor. The Americans had sunk ship in the harbor to prevent the British from sailing into Baltimore. They couldn't even get close to the fort to do any real damage. The large flag wasn't made until later.

I immediately had reservations about the factual basis of this video when the narrator repeatedly referred to the United States as "the colonies." This was the War of 1812. What a weak excuse for attempting to change history when Francis Scott Key needs no help in remaining an American icon and patriot. However, how does going to to war without a declaration, Constitutional? How are the men dieing in Iraq protecting Freedom? Their very presence, occupying a foreign nation, is a direct violation of the Constitution, and breeds more hatred for America.

However, per one of the previous posts. The damage and casualties at Ft. McHenry was minimal. Four killed and twenty-four wounded if Wikipedia is accurate. Great video, but factually not correct.
sshepard94 3 years ago
that's even more surprising that the damage and casualties were minimal in spite of all the shelling.
isorianoiii 3 years ago

I know
I don't know who the narrator is in this recording. I found it in a forum. But to most people, this will make them want to research the subject themselves.
I found out that Francis Scott Key was hired by General Sam Houston to represent him in a case in "The Republic Of Texas"

Twice the speaker mistakenly said Fort Henry, when infact it is called Fort McHenry. I'm guessing he has never been to Baltimore! The truth is a great story. It did not need the speakers "extra facts" But preachers do this quite often!

1. It was the united states involved, not the colonies.
2. Fort MChenry, was not filled with woemen and children.
3. There were not HUNDREDS of british ships.
4. Key was sent for the release of his freind, Dr. William Baines, and didn't find hundreds of POW's.
5. Fort Mchenry was not to be blown off the map, the british expected to fire several shots, then a quick victory.
6. The british didn't have hundreds of ships, and only 6 people were killed in the attack.

I Agree on your arguments, but as an european (NL) I do enjoy that American chauvinism exposed!
I can't choose your president or congress.
Your politicians may decide for the whole world without my voice...!

This is a wonderful story and a well made video, but I wish the politics at the end could stay out of it. Seeing the endorsement of a candidate at the end took away from the emotion of the story.
scottysoccer14 4 years ago
Ron Paul is no ordinary candidate.
Spanishfries 4 years ago
