@TigerArm93 hey man, weighlifting DOES NOT make you lift more weights in any way. The belt is used 'properly' will protect any damage or strain to your back as you are doing your lifts. It is used also to protect your body and to prevent 'sports hernia' in some cases. Thats all bro. What makes you lift more is hardwork and putting in MAD work at the gym! Thanks for watching the video and good question! :)
@TigerArm93 the 5/3/1 is great so far. Definitely breaking PRs so recently. Give it a shot and thats all about I can tell ya. Its working for me and its only been my 3rd month. :)
@FitnessAngelo I'll be sure to inbox you, atm I'm in the middle of school and the semester isn't over till the end of the month so I'll be starting 5/3/1 around February :)
Just a quick question did you dedicate at least one week to testing out your 1RM before starting? Because that's what I'm planning on doing.
@TigerArm93 Yeah you can do that, but you can also calculate your 1RM other ways. Get the book man! Jim Wendler tells ya everything bro! :) But thats not a bad idea, just be careful!
not trying to be a prick, but just a few observations :
1) Your taking awfully long time between reps when doing deadlifts..picking up "deadweight" off the floor is all well and good but gotta keep the constant tension on the muscles bro...if you ask me, you will grow alot more if you just touch the plates on the floor and go back up...
2) On the hack squats try lowering the weight and going all the way down...I used to do the same crap as you're doing right now when I started off..lol
@480al Thanks for the advice man. And yeah, I like to take some time between the reps to really get a good set-up position and posture. I dont like going fast on Deadlifts or squats because I dont want to use momentum to lift. But thanks for the advice bro, will definitely try to go faster on my next one.
@musclesuccess lol trust me Im getting those calories in. And 4 days a week aint that bad, it all depends on how long your in the gym for. Look up 5/3/1 program mayne, thats what I'm on and listening to that. Appreciate the advice though.
Awesome form man. I love seeing that. No amount of weight can make up for terrible form. I'm looking up to you because of that bro. Keep up the mad work
@ChooseFitness dang man... thanks for mentioning it. Funny that your looking up to me, and I'm looking up to you man! Will definitely keep the hardwork going. Thanks for the support and thanks for watching the video bro!
@flexforall2 Thanks Matt. Great to hear from ya man. Definitely will continue to kill it, and hope to reach ya level someday mayne! Thanks a lot. Will try to visit you in your next competition bro! Thanks for watching!
@ninjabic haha bro thats so funny. My little bro just said the same thing haha. Yeah man, that machine is amazing, straight burnin' on the calfs haha. Thanks for watching the video Jon. U competing anytime soon man?
