She seems to know more about YOUR native language than you probably do. I'd say she's hardy "floating" on her looks. There's plenty of substance in her videos.

If she was droning on about what she wants in a man, or dancing around, or lamenting the loss of her favorite nail polish, then maybe she'd be floating on her looks. As it is, she's actually got something substantial going on in the videos (besides her pictures.)

Ok, go to her channel, click on "most viewed" on the video bar... Now out of 49 videos, all the top 9 that are shown, are the ones with the thumbnail picture that has nothing to do with the content of the video... If she's teaching language, WHY THE HELL IS SHE WEARING A BIKINI IN THE THUMBNAIL photo??!? THATS what I mean by floating on her looks... getting views, not for the content, but for the Intro, and the stupid lingerie photos that show up now and then...

As I said, if she was presenting CRAP, and dressing it up with her looks then I'd agree. As it is, she has some substantial content that equals her "dressing," and hence, she's awesome.

This is video is wrong. We read the Elements of Style in AP English, which explains that the word "flammable" was derived from "inflammable" because some people didn't know that inflammable means combustible. To avoid confusion, "Flammable" was put on trucks and containers of inflammable substances. We read the Elements of Style in AP English.

glencity, did you even read my response? I said that flammable came from inflammable- they didn't come from the same word. Thus, the video is WRONG. The latin prefix explanation is right but doesn't apply to flammable and inflammable.

audigitus, did you even watch the video? She never says the two words come from the same place... so the video is correct, not wrong as you state. She simply points out the confusion with the fact that the IN is not a negative IN with relation to IN + FLAMMARE, she never went into the origin of flammable

If you want to add to the description of something, you can do it in a polite manner as opposed to immediately saying the video is wrong, as it is most definitely is not wrong.. you just misinterpreted it.

I concede that the video is not wrong, that was an overstatement. But the video was misleading and implied the two words came from the same word, as evident in your response.
