it would be a instant easy win for ichigo since they were equal when he hadn't even had much expeirance much less a shikai definately not a bankai and hollow ichigo didn't even exist back then

Well i Disagree with your opinion because Zangetsu was the King and Hollow Ichigo is the horse but then Hollow Ichigo didn't want a king who is weaker than him and he toke over the Zanpak-to and since it's ichigo's soul sword Hollow ichigo is able to take over because Ichigo is using Hollow ichigo power so really Hollow ichigo comes out because he is the Zanpak-to itself and Hollow ichigo was in his soul when Urahra put the soul chain on him and it went all the way and Zangetsu CONTROLED him
