  • Finally a see a video of someone using some move to counter boring men! Can that actually be pulled off in a fight though?

  • Well that is pretty much the point to be able to do it : D It requires "some" training though.

  • While the Kendo sparing focuses on actually dealing with your partner and fighting him until you (metaphorically) bleed, the Kendo Kata focuses on the your(and your partners) posture and mind.

I've been practicing Kendo for about 5 months now and I consider the Kata a bit harder then the actual sparing.

For a Kata to be perfect you and your partner have to do it right. When simply sparing its every man for himself :).

  • when you have one big katana on the street is very god

  • Stunning!

PS: What are the names of those songs in clip?

  • I would love to see the original video that is shown in 1:10 and 1:50. It looks amazing.

And Kendo is not a Sport, and is not a Martial Art. IS A WAY OF LIFE XD!!!!

    Cheers and great video!!

  • sehr gut, excellent demonstration

  • Very nice vid.

  • really amazing the first ipponme....

    nice video ^^

  • that wasn't kendo, it was kenjutsu

  • You are wrong, everything on this video is Kendo (Nihon Kendo Kata, Bokuto ni youru Kendo kihon waza keiko ho and Dai ni Kihon)

  • I know kendo and kenjutsu ist the similar.

But kendo is the discipline for competitions and kenjutsu is the art .

  • You are also wrong with this one. If you did Kendo you would know. Since you obviously do not have experience with Kendo I suggest you do not judge it. It is always wrong to be critic about things you know nothing about - get some knowledge first.

  • what is the difference between Kendo and Kenjutsu?

  • Well to put it simply:

    - Kendo is more modern school (founded in late 19th and early 20th century and developed from some Kenjutsu schools) and is unified (there is just one Kendo). Kenjutsu is just a generic term for MANY diferent schools (Ryu-ha) of swordmanship older than 1868.

    - Kendo involves kata AND fullcontact training (and sparring and competitions, unlike Kenjutsu ryuha) using protective equipment, while almost every school of the kenjutsu schools do kata only.

  • - also Kendo is more oriented to discipline and physical and mental development, while Kenjutsu ryuha are more oriented to the efective sword use (this is just a generalisation, both arts containd both elements)

  • Nice vid!:) 5 stars!

    btw whats the song title?

    Bye

  • nádhera...
