  • Alot of ski patrol and safety rangers at my mountain r pure JACKASSES

  • not cool dude...

  • thats hilarious!!!

  • As if anybody thought he was a kill joy imagine if you hit somebody on that jump thats why they have parks

  • i see the celery camera is popular amongst kids slating ski patrol for looking after their safety and the safety of others copying, i would have ripped your lift pass up, go to the park.

  • @MrKennystevens what's a celery camera? Serious question.

  • @FLKsnow a camera, made of celery

  • @MrKennystevens I get around to this vid every so often and it always suprises me how people ( usually kids) react to this. I worked as a liftie for 4 going on 5 years and now I'm training to be a patroller. When kids would do this as my resort I'd smash there "jumps" with my shovel or cut their passes. 95% of the kids don't understand the physics of bulding a jump and they wind of getting hurt. Either that or the jumps would be in a blind spot and other people can hit them.

  • @DieEisGeist They can call us what ever they want, ( they don't understand the hours away from our families/money it takes to become a patroller. But you bet your ass when they've got 3 elbows or 2 extra knees they will be screaming for you.

  • ROFL some kid at my mountain tried to jump over one of theese but with no jump and cliped the sign, cartwheeled about 3 times and got laughed at by the entire lift line.

  • Lol, fail. But anyway, I try not to spoil people's fun, but if there is a safety concern, regardless of whether you agree with it or not you have to put a stop to it. It's usually never the people jumping that we worry about, but the people watching them do it, and think they have the ability to jump too, and they are the people who end up injured. That being said at our mountain, if its off to the side, you have a spotter, and you don't walk back, up we generally don't mind.

  • As a patroller, I can honestly say I try not to take down some of the jumps peo

  • You fuck-ups realize that ski mountains have to pay a shitload of money for insurance, and getting insurance means the mountains have to follow certain regulations? For example, not permitting people to build their own half-assed jumps in the middle of a trail? I'm sure that ski patrol dude doesn't really give a shit if you fuck yourselves up, but he has a job and probably wants to keep it.

  • @Freddy3740 hahar, wow never heard that before! :o

  • I see this is fairly old but with ski season just around the corner I thought I would comment. First off ski patrollers' primary role is ski safety not first aid. This jump This causes a hazard. Ski Patrollers don't want to waste their time always running to get injured people we also want to ski. As for the beginners in the terrain park I understand this problem, as a ski patroller this winter I will be patrolling in the park and explaining to them that it isn't safe to be in there.

  • kids scream for patrol when they are hurt....but they flip us off the rest of the day. there are plenty of places to jump safely at bristol....this is not one of them

  • @ fallenintocrap

Yes, ski patrol is responsible for keeping ski areas safe by providing provides emergency care, search and rescue, avalanche control, and lift evacuation. Maintenance and overall safety of groomed runs falls under the responsibility of the area's management. If the patroller was concerned he could have alerted management, but as a volunteer the patroller doesn't have the authority to knock down jumps. At least that's the ruling in our region.

  • This guy is NOT doing his job. Ski patrol is there to treat injuries, not to be the ski police. This guy is just abusing his privileges of the coat.

  • @epika581

oh he's doing his job alright...one of the main responsibilities is to maintain mountain (or hill) safety. I mean really, Id be embarrassed to even build or use such a little kicker. Some people just dont get it :/

  • @fallenintocrap yeah bro, cork 9's and snort lines!!! Big kickerzz 4-lyffe

  • Yeah keep the kickers where its safe. Ie in the park, off piste, etc. Its just better for everyone that way. Seen allot of accidents caused by "little" things like this. Ski patrol are responsible for everyone's safety. So just respect that :-)

  • nice hit... but that area isn't the safest to have a jump. Too many beginners.

  • that actually looked like a pretty sick jump too....oh well

  • Who is gonna risk his own life to get an ignorant out of places, where he should not be? Ski patrol. It is their job to protect anyone from an injury and if you build a jump over that "slow down sign" it shows, how dull you are

  • mabye you guys are looking for a fight instead of a fun day?

  • This guy is just doing his job, and when you hurt your vagina he will safely get you down the hill. Why don't you guys man up and hit some real jumps, these kid jumps on the bunny run aren't that impressive anyway. Don't pretend to be a badass when you are hanging around a slow banner cause your not.

  • @skieropow not everyone rides to impress, not everyone pretends to be a "badass" while riding.

  • this happend to us but people were still hitting the jump as they were taking it down it was so funny

  • I have these punks that build ramps at my resort and every time I catch them there pass gets cut. Y'all screw around and get hurt, it will be your parents suing the resort. If you can't get your jollies off at a certain resort, go to a bigger one.

    > As for respecting patrollers they give up a lot of time and money to train( at least 500$ and 120 hours) for this stuff so they can be there for you. Most if not all of them are volunteers.

  • @XpolymerX I lol'd at "jollies"

  • what a faggot, u guys shoulda thrown a snowball with a rock in it

  • what a jerk

  • Hey Camo --- Boarder-Patrollers have been doing avi-work at resorts in California for nearly twenty years. Get educated. I don't have any video to show you, but there is no video out there of my butthole either. Do you also doubt the existence of my butthole ?

Anyway, launching over a "Slow" sign will eventually get someone's kid killed - big FAIL.

  • They got to do their job. If u broke ur leg, who would bring u down the mountain and get u help if u were all alone???? Think about that

  • @Taylorxbox I'm gonna have to go with "Ski Patrol" on this one...

  • IGNORANCE? You twat! My comment is based on thirty years of skiing experience.

Tell you what - go find me video of avalanche controllers on snowboards, and post it on here

    You're a snowboarder, aren't you?

Take care with that blind spot

  • @camouflet He is right. There is a fundamental issue with doing control work on a board in the fact that you can not get out of it if you get hung up in a slide.

  • @chomolungma1000 I still dont see how its idiocy, we know the risk involved when we strap in to a board or skis, the people getting their passes pulled at this place are not kids that have no idea what they're doing, they're good park riders that can pull it off. You can just as easily get hurt on other parts of the mountain, we saw that this year when the guy died when he hit a tree. Flips are part of park riding and should not be banned, but its bristol so it doesn't surprise me

  • @brsox4928 Most hills have protocols stating that jumps and other features need to be built by employees of the hill and not the guests for insurance reasons. As a snowboard patroller I understand the desire to ollie foreign obstacles and hit unmarked jumps, however not every rider is a good as you or I may be and we unfortunately have to cater to the lowest common denominator. And yes, I am jealous of people who can hit jumps with ease, just help us out by following the code of the hill.

  • i'm pretty sure that our ski patrol is way cooler and so what if they get hurt its their own fault. plus you can't fix stupid. and on top of all that we get way more stupid ppl at winterplace.

  • @skier71192ryan yea one of the ski patrollers at my local hill told me where the best tree skiing is on the hill, and they supposedly dont alow it at the ski area, theyre all pretty chill guys, this looks like an intersection of two runs so its pry a good idea that he took it down, at least he wasnt an ass and didnt kick em off the hill.

  • @phil656565 yeah it wasn't a good idea to try and jump over a slow sign they could have picked a better spot to put the jump.

  • yea you will think that guy is a dick until he saves your dumb ass. You have to understand that that guy was doing that for your own good so your are not stuck in the hospital paying thousands of dollars for you and the person you hit. You have to respect the ski patrol

  • we do the best we can to accomadate everyone. If we see jumps though, we need to take them down. Some jerks will always screw stuff up though

  • how about labeling the parks the right way, the sign says aerial maneuvers not recommended, nowhere does it say its banned yet ski patrol is always yelling at people for doing flips, there is no justification for it when nowhere does it say you can't do them

  • @brsox4928 thats not my mountain so i cant really say anything. they are there to help, and dont want you to break your back and neck. gross hemmoraging is no fun for aqnyone lol

  • @brsox4928 theres a difference between "aerial maneuvers" and being an idiot and breaking your neck

  • @chomolungma1000 so doing flips makes you an idiot? are you jealous because you can't do them?

  • @brsox4928 Not at all. But there's a difference between doing flips in a controlled environment when you know what your doing and just doing them cuz they look fun. As a ski patroller I don't want to be wasting my time with your idiacy when someone else may have a legitimate need for assistance.

  • @gcam831 wish everyone saw it the way you do

  • they can save my life by actually doing there job, just about every day i see ice chunks the size of soccer balls they ski right by and don't move plus the nice holes left by bristols half assed groomer operators that they never mark. Ski patrollers at bristol only care about getting first tracks they never do their job

  • boarders are kids using ski toys

ski patrol are adults using mountaineering tools

hey boarder kids - if the ski adults say no, you go to your room, OK?

  • @camouflet ok.

  • @FLKsnow haha

  • @camouflet Tell that to Travis Rice. Don't need to be a cock because some snowboarders are dumb.

  • @camouflet Do you have ED? They make pills for that.

  • @camouflet stfu

  • ski patrols are just doing their job. there is nothing wrong with it. putting up a video like this and trying to mock their language skill only shows one's immaturity.

  • Whoever you are - it's "THEIR" job - guess you're not paying attention in English class? I'm a patroller too - that jump was built uphill from a SLOW banner (try to remember the meaning of that word...) it didn't say, "JUMP OVER ME into ONCOMING TRAFFIC". Ever see the damage a metal edge from a board or a ski can do to someone's skin, particularly on their face? I have. It's not pretty. We're not out here to keep you from having fun - just trying keep you out of the hospital, or worse.

  • why is it that ski patrollers target snowboarders, i come down the easy runs and get yelled at for going to fast but skiers fly by me and not a word

this wouldnt be a problem if parks weren't built in the middle of a ton of beginner runs hopefully down the road bristol moves them back across the mountain

  • I totally agree with you that the parks are in a location that makes it problematic for everyone - the only way to the bottom is down the beginner slope. We have SLOW banners all over - some folks read and heed, others don't, and it's NOT just boarders. It's hard to get everyone to keep their speed down through that area, and we do our best to keep it safe for everyone, so whoever asked you to slow down should have said something to the skier too.

  • @justdriveshesaid Good catch, thanks. Title has been changed.

  • @justdriveshesaid Fuck you patrolling faggot

  • @TheBmxAlien I'm actually going to take offense to that son. I've just dropped 350$ into my training and a 120 hour course. Of my own time and my own money so I can save little pricks like you. We get angry when you pose a threat to the other skiing public. Play in the park or go to another resort. I don't care if you hurt yourself. I care about the people that aren't excepting to hit a jump and get hurt. If that was me or my kid. I'd own your home/car and everything in it.

  • @DieEisGeist I'm sorry to hear that you wasted all that money on becoming one of the most hated sons of bitches, buzz kill bitch.

  • @justdriveshesaid maybe things are different at your mountain, but i rarely find myself facing the problem of running into "oncoming traffic" while riding. but maybe its just cause my mountain was built on a hill. cultural differences i guess.

  • @justdriveshesaid Ever see the damage taking yourself too seriously can do to a person? Just look in the mirror.

  • we are there to make sure that you get home safe, and that includes preventing you from getting hurt by doing stupid things.

  • @huntnski58 free rides home :o

  • @huntnski58 doing stunts and riding off the ramps made there is stupid?

  • i dont get y they gotta wreck shit i mean if u bust urself thats on you, ski patrol should be there in the event of u messing up really bad not cuz u built a lagit jump over a slow sign just sayin ya ur a idiot for doin something dumb but it happens

  • im a ski patroller

not all people think that because they hurt them selves its their fault so they sue and it ends up in a big suit which is a pain...

there is a park where you can hit jumps n stuff all you want and we have to deal with all the people who think they can handle that jump.

  • you say we belong in the park yet people who don't belong in there, either by not using any of the features or beginners are aloud to ride in there with not a word said to them

    whats up with that

  • We hope people will use common sense, but that's not always the case. Back when we had an "EXPERTS ONLY" banner at Comet, I asked a man with his very young, inexperienced skier daughter who was going slowly back and forth across the hill if he thought she was an 'expert' and tried to explain that it was not the best place for her to be. He didn't want to hear it, and said she could ski wherever she wanted, skilled or not. See what we're up against? We try to educate the public, but ......

  • I agree, there are a lot of people out there like that but think about this: the signs at the entrance of the parks say "freestyle skills required" so by people such as beginners ignoring that and riding in there anyway isn't that the same as me ignoring the slow signs? but the park thing is never enforced, maybe we need to have special park passes like Stratton has so beginners and people that don't hit the features in the park would stay out of them

  • Then here's what you need to do - make your concerns known to the Bristol Mt. Management - we can do only so much, but if the pass holders start complaining (since you pay the bills) they will listen.

  • you talk the talk but hardly ever walk the walk,, if u get hurt guitarkid, who u think your momy is gonna go off pointing fingers and blaming eh? you or the ski patrol guy for not supervising littl brats. peace

  • I hate people who bash ski patrol. But yet when you break yourself, who are you screaming and depending on to help you.

  • true we got to respect you and stuff but even if your stoping us from doing a dangerous thing we see it as "ruining are fun" so alot of us think negativley of you

  • dude ibe benn snowboarding for a couple of years and im also a patroller, im from argentina and i worked in colorado, and the only thing i can think when i see this is that you are a frustrated pro snowboarder if you get mad because a ski patroll takes down you small ass jump....dude grow up! and try the big guys jumps!! hahaha

  • bien dicho, che. trabajas de pistero en arg tambien??

perdona si te jodo, este comentario ya es medio viejo xD

  • NO FUN ALLOWED AT BRISTOL MOUNTAIN!

  • mwahahahah ik right better mountain but swains patrol more laid back

  • swain is gonna get run into the ground

  • Nice job!

  • i do get why this ski patrol person did this. She is just doing her job as helping people stay safe and in control because even though it looks like they werent doin anything wrong they were actually blocking a caution sign which i THE MOST useful signal on that slope for beginners or night skiiers.

  • As a ski patroller I can answer you that you would not be fags if you were not doing jumps anywhere on the hills. It is not because you like it and because you are good for jumping that it means that other people will be able to jump on it. If you want to jump on the hills, you can use the snow parks with a helmet on your head!

  • what?? I did not understand any of that...

  • dude i agree. this imposter is a friggen sleezebag. obviously he has special needs which we should not make fun of, but instead empathize with him.

  • Yes i agree, it only takes some in-experienced rider to watch and follow you idiots through the jumps you have made and cause themselves some seious harm. The terrain parks are built and designed for a reason - USE THEM !

(Perisher Ski Patrol - snowboarder for 14yrs)

  • let me know who you gonna call when you get a broken wrist....GHOST BUSTERS?

    YOU MORON! hahahahahhaa

  • most people hate us until we have to save them, then they need us and like us

thats just the way it goes

  • dude....fuckin mountain cop pig-out, this is like, a full buffet of slop right here.

  • I agree 100% with edidge, I have been hassled by ski patrol before and it was at first annoying. But they are doing their job and they keep people safe. Now since working with patrol I have come to realize that the things that we do which may seem mean are actually done for a reason. For instance terrain parks are where the jumps are, if a jump is not marked and is in a slope it shouldn't be, some little kid or someone else hits it by accident and ends up hurting themselves. can be serious.

  • he only did that cause its over one of the signs. that jumps always there when i go its sick. and yeah ski patrol can be douches sometimes but tehy want you to be safe

  • Being a kid I would hate it when this would happen to me. But being a ski patroller now, I understand why he destroyed the jump. Everyone wants to have fun, but no one realizes ski patrol don't want to have to run out to a call for an injured person. The safer the hills are, the happier we are, but when someone does get injured all patrollers take it seriously and want to get any injured person to medical attention (EMS or the Hospital) asap, because its our job. See it from a patrollers view.

  • you guys are a bunch of idiots

  • respect for the ski patrol! they do their job, and they do it good. but i kinda like to brake some rules too.

  • Learn how to type English, dude....

  • Wow iv never heard of so many ppl who actually LIKE ski patrol...that means either your all skiers or youve all been rescued by them which means YOU SUCK!!

  • your a fucking idiot.

  • OMG i feel so out matched by your witty comeback! Is that what they teach you to say in high school when your self esteem has been knocked down a few notches? Why didn't I think of that??

  • Comment removed

  • wheres this at it looks like bristol...

  • yup

  • so thats why the jump disapeared

  • yo bud your pretty much retarded for building that little lame ass jump rite in front of that sign. and ya your rite patrol was just doin their job just not for the same reasons you think. by the way sick jump you like almost had a entire foot and a half

  • what did you expect!

jumping slow signs is stupid.. theyre there for a reason.. how would you feel if you hit a kid the other side!

and by the way you suck.. maybe if you looked a little more in control as you hit it you'd get away with it :D

  • Go Mr. Fluff!!! You tell 'em!!

    not really, im kidding.

  • i'll bet you don't like cops either.

  • ski patrol people r just doing there job but i mean let has have a little fun come on if we wanna take a chance and do that stuff then they should let us learn a lesson

  • ok but if someone else hits that jump thinking its just a regular jump made by the mountain and they get hurt then the mountain is liable for it.

  • I gotta agree with you. I mean they could have at least built the jump somewhere other than in front of the SLOW sign... It sucks to have to ruin people's fun, but this makes sense.

  • this is one bad example of a ski patroller come to my mountain and ill show fun with or without my cross on

  • man ski patrol isnt on the jive get the polls out of your asses and have fun

  • fuck you man you dont know shit, yeah of course there are some assholes out there but thats just being stereotypical im a ski patroller and believe me i know how to have fun. The biggest reason I actually got into it was to 1. ski closed trail 2. do whatever the fuck i want 3. get my friends out of trouble.

I tell kids do whatever the fuck you want but dont expect me not to say "told you so" because you were doing some dumb shit

  • He did a fine job shoveling. I usually make them take it out themselves hehe

  • idiota

  • your a bitch

  • Go Skipatrol

  • None of you probably thought about the fact that the ski patrol puts up slow signs for a reason, SO PEOPLE GO SLOW IN THOSE AREAS. There is a terrain park for a reason. it is their job to remove all unauthorized jumps! removing the jump is also for the 10 year old that could ski underyou while your in the air and can't stop. how would you feel if you his a 10 year old? probably bad unless your a hearless ass hole.

  • Bristol Patrol loves to yell at me when I rip into the woods...too bad they don't have the skills to follow me and catch me =)

  • We can follow anyone anywhere in no matter what the conditions are.

  • Oh, we can catch you. We are simply not willing to get injured doing something that colossally stupid. On my mountain, we say that nobody skis faster than Motorola. It's true, and if I catch you, you can kiss your pass goodbye. That is, of course, if yiu still have your legs because you luckily missed all of the steel snowmaing pipes that are in there.

  • I hike and ski STID, Gannet, Worden, Harriret H etc. Bristol has safe skiing off trail for expert skiers.

My comment stems from the fact that the resort frowns upon out of bounds skiing. Resorts everywhere encourage the off trails skiing but Bristol fails to market to this partition of skiiers and keep up with the trends.

If your motarolas catch me then kick me out. I would be sad as I have skiied there 20 years but won't argue. You are a one small hill in the world of skiing after all.

  • I've never skied Bristol, but if a mountain allows off-piste, I would probably patrol in the off piste areas. My comment stems from the fact that off-piste skiing where I patrol is really dangerous. The only way to 'find' one of those pipes is to hit it while skiing, and doing so would cost you both knees... permanently! We have to take a dim view of it.

  • Off piste is dangerous wherever you go. There are plenty of skiiers who shouldNOT venture out into the woods. I scout all of the places I ski in both the fall and winter so I know the terrain as well as use radios with partners for saftey. I don't blindly rip into unknown zones. Should I get hurt out there I don't expect patrol to help me.

Had I known you have never skiied Bristol I wouldn't have bothered making a reply.

    Have a safe 08/09 Season!

  • Basically seeing as how I'm too lazy to reply to other posts, HOW IS THAT SKI PATROL PROTECTING US?! Skiers get injured all over the mountain, lets go take all the snow off there too! The thing is, the jump was built, we seshed it for about an hour and NO ONE GOT INJURED! I got injured falling down the stairs a long time ago, quick lets remove the stairs!!!!!! It's not protecting US seeing as WE know how to hit it and how to not injure our selves on it.

  • that looks like fun dude, were do u guys ride at?

  • Bristol Mountain in western NY. ski patrol didnt think it was fun though...

  • @FLKsnow I am a ski patroller myself. I've torn down jumps many times and I've seen what happens when we don't find them soon enough. You can insult us as much as you want, but when you get hurt, you'll be glad to see us. Every ski patroller is at least an EMT-Basic. Most ski patrollers are trained above what ski patrol teaches them. My patrol has doctors, paramedics, flight nurses and surgeons. We do what we do to keep you safe, not to ruin your fun although that sometimes happens anyway.

  • @FLKsnow u ever gone 2 holiday valley ?

  • @claudehpmech nope. Hopefully soon though

  • this was the best day at bristol

  • I was there that night i saw the whole thing pretty funny thet dushpatrol is such a motherfucker

  • This video is funny as hell! Keep up the antics at Bristol next year haha!

  • Dude my dad is a ski patroler and protecting skiers and you from maiming yourself and those around so think about that punk!!!!!!!!

  • that night was sick couldnt see 15 feet in front of you when it started to snow

  • and there was basiclly 15 feet of fresh pow on the ground!!!lol

  • The bristol Ski patrol are such assholes

  • that dude was speaking with a thick russian accent ...hes prolly an illegal. dont bring your communist policies to our slopes stalin!

  • stupid commys always taking away our freedom

  • screw ski patrol

  • sweeeet

  • this setup was so sick, i am forever grateful to whoever made it.

  • It was kevin bane, his cousin, this matt kid and a bunch of other kids from fairport. I thought it was a cool idea to hop a slow sign and they started building it. Some other kids built a jump by the slow sign they had up on friday that was deastroyed by SP.

  • Criticise the ski patrol all you want, but who ya gonna call after you wrap yourself around a tree, huh?????

  • you need to chill. and take that mask off, its wierd.

  • the paramedics...

  • haha

  • @FLKsnow ie. the ski patrol.

  • @FLKsnow The paramedics will have Ski Patrol pull you off the hill and render you care until you are brought down to the patrol room where they can access you. Paramedics don't go onto the ski hill unless a special request by ski patrol is made.

  • the GHOSTBUSTERS!!!!!
