Car deforming.. as in crash damage is useless. You inevitably end up after each race seeing your car all banged up and for what. Realism ? Is it realistic to keep driving a crashed car around. In a game your car is only intact as far as to the first corner of the track anyway.

@Janusha :/ You indeed dont understand. The fact that you assume you will finish the race with a "banged up" vehicle clearly states you are not very good at Gran Turismo. Damage is done to punish your horrible driving as you have to see your new Subaru WRX Impreza beg for mercy, or your new Ferrari 458 italia turn to a piece of unfortunate mess. Gran Turismo is a Simulator, not an arcade style racing game where you hold down the Gas throught the whole race :/

Dude.. spare me the "learn to play" comments. Im a game designer and might see this from a slightly different angle than you. Try forexample driving the Nurburgring with a Bugatti or Koenigsegg in any game and do a quick lap without hitting a barrier in any game. Impossible.

Car games dont deal in realism. They deal with a percieved realism within the confines of their universe. Simulator or not. Its all made the exact same way.

@to500mo Gran Turismo would be cool with free roam, but it's had a very specific format that revolutionized racing games when it started on the PS1. Because the Gran Turismo series was created by a Japanese guy and developed by a Japanese developer, they have always been more interested in European style racing. But actually NFS had free roam like Midnight Club. If it weren't for Midnight Club, NFS probably wouldn't have gone so deep into free roam street racing with cops patrolling the city.

My biggest concern is that cars only understeer like they tend to in gt4, i find it rather annoying that you hardly even can get a 1000bhp dodge into a proper slide if thats what you want..

Anyone sharing my view? Everything looks stunning tho, just hope cars will be have a bit less grip on backwheels when the pedel is floored.

I hate to say it people but i think were all gonna be let down with the release of this title. Theyve spent soo many years making this thing much of the competition has caught up to and in some ways surpasses the look of GT5. sure.. it maybie a bit too early to judge but i gota be honest. after all this time i expected it to look more 'real' and less CG. weres the dirt dust and Grime? why does it feel so-- computerish now.  the camera motion should be more natural. not error free.
