Hello Lady D, I have a question for you since you have braidlocks, I got my hair done about 2 weeks ago, I was running my fingers across some of my braids and I thought something was in my hair so I went to my mirror, checked it out and no ,nothing in my hair..it feels like little knots..is this what you went through? I tried the twist method, but my hair just didn't stay,so now I have braidlocks..Just really wondering could these be little buds? and do buds feel like knots? Thanks .
your hair looks lovely... quick question I want to replicate the style without locking my hair i.e. I want to wear my natural hair in box braids the same size as yours. How long can I keep them in before they start to loc because I will re do them after this time so I can have the best of both worlds. I want to have the option of wearing my hair loose but I want to keep my box braids in for as long as possible.
Thank you! With braids you really dont have to worry about the locing for a longggg time. I'm in my third month and just now starting to see buds, so locing would be the least worry for a good couple of months or so and even longer if u manipulate it alot.
The thing you really have to worry about is getting the hair retighten because it will begin to loosen and look fuzzy at the roots. I would get it rebraided about 1.5 month or 1 months if you want the tidy.
Looking good...and buds!!! Whooo hooo! I still havent done my braids yet...Im still indecisive as the whether or not I wanna take the financial plunge and do sisterlocks... :-s pray fuh meh!
looking great...thanks for sharing your progress. this must be a great encouragement for all those who have chosen to embrace their natural hair (not me...but more power to ya)
I LOVE IT and I HATE it at times...LOL...right now its a love hate relationship as they mature. Once they mature, I sure it will be Love love lovee....:)
Thanks! Well, right now they are permanent, I want locs. Although if I knew what I knew back in the day, I would have rock these mircobraids on my own hair because they allow so much freedom with styles. And my hair would be so healthy and long.
Post updates on your braidlocs!
