  • can you cake a mold from program?

  • This is amazing. really like it and this is exactly what i want to work with.

  • that really arroused my interest in 3d modeling. can you post some more tutorials. i shall really appriciate that.

  • What is that program called???

  • Freeform can't do symmetry in real-time? You have to individually clone over everything you want to be symmetrical? That seems like it'd be a pain. :-(

  • kick ass man

  • Fantastic! Are you sharing the STL?

I would like to cast it in bronze.

  • creepy, the thing looks exactly like it's made outta clay...

  • People thing modeling humans is a matter of tracing and anatomical reference plane.

    Its NOT.

  • still, looks like zbrush from the 90's

  • Dude i have seen cats on here do this in Zbrush with textures and way more complexity in half the time he made this thing. This program is still a beast though - it is still a CAD app i guess...you could cut this out with a CNC router.

  • Very cool! How did you construct the feet? Unusual anticipation !!

  • does this program work with maya

  • WHAT PROGRAM?!?!?!?

  • Thats Freeform from Sensable software.

You need the haptic arm to use it and the cheapest set up is over $10,000. (i recently saw itfor about £6000)

I used to use it myself about 6 years ago.

  • ...how did you manage to aford that!?

  • I didn't, The company I used to work for were one of the first in Europe to get it. we helped out on the beta teasting on it

  • Do i really NEED a haptic arm for this? or will any mouse or tablet do?

  • Yes, without the arm you get no feedback and can't move in three dimentions.

Plus the software doesn't run without the arm.

If you want a version that works without the arm try ZBrush

  • It cant cost that much! it's max price is about 1000$ maybe lower!

  • The software itself might only be that price but you can't run it without the arm and that is most certainly over $1000

  • better thanzbruash! this blows me away

  • looks pretty good...similar to zbrush but more expensive i think seeing as you have a forcefeedback pen to use with it and there's options to lease it!

think i'll stick with zbrush myself..but it's a nice app all the same.

  • Sweet :)

  • wow nice

  • The application is called FreeForm and it's developed by a company in Boston called Sensable technologies. There are various distributors around the world who sell & support it. Try w3 sensable dot com

  • how software You use?

    I think is good program!

  • The software is driven by a pen-liek device on a small armature, called a Phantom.

Glad you like the look of it, the first time people see it "live" is usually a jaw-dropping moment!
