Alright so i have the 8550, i got the drivers and i got the application. I started it up and it says "Other CMDA phone on com 6." I dont know what this means. I got music in the music player but i cant set it as the ringtone/ i dont know how. any help would be awesome thanks!

I have the same issue but after looking into the other folders i found the folder where can put ringtones. Go to BREW, click the "+" on MOD to see the subfolder. Do the same on the folder 10889. After doing that you should see a folder titled "ringtones." Drag and drop your tones there and reboot just like the video says. For the wallpaper, click on the folder 10888 and do the same thing. Make sure you reboot the phone. I will try to make a video of what i wrote.

thats actually a harder way 2 do it. just click the media on the left side of the program. Expand it and select ringers. Drag and drop it and a wizard will appear. after that press the phone icon with the right arrow n ringtone and add. thats what you would do to the phone compatible with bitpim

I figured out the telus music issue. what u have to do is still go to that brew subfolder but put your music in the mymusic folder.

i have an lg tg800,thats the original chocolate, not the verison or telus version, and there is an mp3 ringtone folder but i dont kno how to upload ringtones to it. I know how to upload mmf ringtones but they suck and i can only upload about 40kbs

hey dustin iv been having some problems with your tutorial. i installed the drivers successfully, it said three things were installed in the bottom right. and then i started up bitpim and under berk, there was a 'media' folder in place of any number folder and the media folder had non subfolders. i uninstalled and reinstalled several times but afterwards, the drivers would not intstall anymore. any suggestions on what to do?

Once you install the drivers you dont need to install them again. Can u please expand the filesystem and take a screenshot of that so I can see your issue.

the only thing is, when i open my computer it does not see my phone... but when i plug the phone in i hear a series of beeps and at the bottom there is a message that notifies that there has been something installed.

Your phone wouldnt show up in the my computer area.

You open up Bitpim and expand all the tabs so I can see your file system then you push the

"PRT SC" button its up by the F12 Key

Then open Microsoft Paint and Go to Edit and Paste

Then save and send to my PM box.
