  • yes they do, blade was the first, and the best

  • Spiderman reighn

  • Hey Guys, you almost began discussing Batman stories that would need an R rating to be made into films. I was wondering what Batman stories you would like to see adapted into movies?

  • Return of the Swamp Thing! Watch it!

  • what was the name of the documentary?

  • I think Watchmen could have possibly been made into a decent PG-13 film- toss out the unnecessary f-bombs that weren't even present in the book, make the violence like The Dark Knight where it's not too bloody but is still pretty realistic, and make any sexual themes more subtle rather than showing outright sex. But that's just my personal opinion

  • From what heard some parents actually took their children to the Watchmen film because apparently some parents think that all superhero films are for kids because of the colourful costumes and stuff like that.

  • As much as like to see a R rated films of The Autority or Lobo, the two problems is that R rated superhero films do not sell well (Watchmen) and that these lessen known characters do not sell, if a PG 13 Green Lantern film did not sell what chance does Lobo have?

  • If Deadpool ever puts pen to pad and becomes a film it would need to be R without question. PG-13 would could still be made well but not having the constraint would take it to another level.

  • What do you say is the best movie based on an Alan Moore comic?

  • Anyone else think that Vince looks a lot like a bulkier version of Steve from Blue's Clues?

  • Robert Kirkmans Invincible would have to be rated R

  • I hope you guys go back to this topic sometime because there is still I feel a lot to discuss

  • Whats a necessary limit for a movie franchise, should it end at 3 movies or can it go longer or shorter?

  • Dark Knight Returns is being made into an animated feature already

  • yes

  • Also, DCanimated are going to do a movie adapt of DKR I'm sure it'll be PG13 but I hope it better than their adapt of Doomsday and Superman!

  • I like to see an R-rated The Boys movie!

But mainstream superheroes wise: Hulk, Venom, Red Lanterns, Wichblade, Darkness, The Crow(reboot), Marshal Law, The Mask(reboot closer to the comic), The Goon, Cirebus, Authority or Planetary, BPRD(a possible Hellboy spinoff), SHIELD, Marvel Zombies, Green Arrow, Red Hood(like the animated movie and story arc not the reboot comic series), DEADPOOL!!!, Teen Titans, Wolverine, Ghostrider(which i think the new one is going to be R-rated), and Death Dealer!

  • I don't think "The Wolverine" has to be Rated R, but I would like them to not worry about pandering to a younger audience. I would love to see "Y: The Last Man", but I'm wondering if that would be better as a TV series on AMC or HBO or something. An R Rated "Daredevil" would be great.

  • I would love to see a rated R Batman, even if it was animated. I have always wanted a more mature Power Rangers film too. Even more adult than the sentai is.

  • id like to see a rated R Ultimates movie, i know they are making the Avengers but its diffrent in some key areas i think

  • @27studios Very true I'd like to see that too, but he Avengers movie does barrow heavily form Ultimates! If I think right the movie is based on the Ultimates vol. 1-2 and Ultimates 2 vol. 1-2 for plot points!

  • Will There be a Video of Vince's DVD Collection again. the Updated one Besides I want detail on all those Two Face figs.

  • The obvious rated R comic book movie is anything Wolverine... the guy has steak knives that pop out of the back of his hand, violence is how he communicates.

  • as spawn was technically one of the earliest superheroe movie i can remember coming out when i was younger, can one not say it product of its time. With the fault laying on the industry and the creators not making there own movies (as dc has been merged with wb for sometime)?

  • I think the Dark knight did show us that a film can be PG 13 but also push the limits of it !

  • i have a question: do u think the comic book universes, like dc and marvel should make all their movies connected like you could hear about the city gotham in a superman film. I ask this because i desperately want a marvel movie like spiderman or iron man to acknowledge the fact that they live among mutants!

  • @JaneishaBreeder I'd love that and the only reason they haven't done it yet is that Marvel Studios doesn't own the rights to all the Marvel properties's movies! Until they revert back to Marvel Spider-Man and X-men are owned by other studios!

  • A Wolverine movie should ideally be R(think violence like on Book of Eli). Deadpool as well should be R(more a dark action comedy of a tone similar to Starship Troopers or Zombieland). An Elementals movie or a Next men movie would definitely need an R rating to be good(though, like watchmen, they'd be much better off as a series on HBO than as a movie).

  • Hellblazer, Superman Red Son, The killing joke and even though not really a superhero JTHM. There is a lot of material that would potentially benefit from a older or R rating

  • The crow couldnt have been pg-13

  • The Boys would make a really hardcore R rated film.

  • Comment removed

  • I don't think Deadpool should be rated R.

  • Rated R comic films I want are Wolverine, Daredevil, Ghost Rider, Our Army At War.

  • the losers was PG-13

  • The crow was pretty solidly an R

  • [...] I'm exaggerating here, but do you see how ridiculous this whole process is?And now instead of being a general indicator, huge production companies are counting on it!They wind up first deciding the rating and then the director! It's so stupid. Here in Europe this is not such a big deal.I'm not saying they should renounce it, but it's just so exagerated...

  • @1LeiaPrincess I agree with that 100%. I hate that the rating is decided first and then a movie is built around that.

    -CL

  • Ratings were supposed to be a "parent's guide", a VAGUE/general indicator of what could be child-friendly or not. Unfortunately this has become so LITERAL, it's almost funny! We're playing with words and images here: "This word is bad, but how bad is it?Is it pg-13 bad or R-rated bad? / a girl in a bikini is ok, but a girl in underwear is worse/ how much percentage of her buttocks is showing?cause that makes all the difference in the world/dicapitation is ok, but nipples are only for adults"[..]

  • awesome video guys always enjoyable

  • great points, I have an idea, how long it should be before you resurrect a certain character

  • A rated R DareDevil movie would work very well I think. But with nearly every other property I would say it depends on the story being adapted. For example Green Lantern would be a good PG 13 film but Sinestro Corps war, Blackest Night and Rage of the Red Lanterns would not work very well as PG 13 films because of the violence and immense amounts of blood shed and adult themes

  • Even though I'm not a big fan of the character, I'd like to see a R-rated Wolverine film.

  • Ratings are !@#$ing retarded! School of Rock was rated PG-13 for some swear words in the film, while Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer had not only swear words, but it had a dude disintegrate into dust. But what was it rated? Oh right, PG. PG!!!

  • I'm glad you guys think their should be some comic book related rated R films because I've had some people tell me movies like Deadpool or swap thing shouldn't R because they would not translate well on screen.

  • u too make my days feel better

  • 10 min on the clock have not seen that in awhile cool

  • I think Ghost Rider should be R...

  • @BlueRoosterReviews I think the new will be as it's under the Marvel Knights banner and that banner was made souly for their more mature properties! The only other movie though they made under it was Punisher War Zone!

  • I don't know if you guys do top 10s but here's 1 for you, what are the most iconic locations in comic books, places that are so larger than life that their almost as memorable as the characters?

  • wish there was a trivia question here so I could be the first to answer it
