i agree with ya there i am better at reading that old english lol I just enjoy it more than regular english =P ppl should talk like that more often.. i'd so play along..
"Millie, dost thou havith a cookie for me?"
*...Nay.*
"Then what beith that in thine hands? Looks like thou hast a cookie.."
*Yea verily, but thy knowith I shant ever just 'giveth' thou a cookie. For cookies, beith sweet and taistful. and I doth usually indulge in its taistyness and not shareth.*
@MillieBoBilly that is awesome :D the problem is though, if people started to talk like this, i couldn't understand a thing and i'd get horribly confused. i mean, reading this is easy and everything, but understanding a person who talks like that would be pretty hard... or maybe i just need some practise :P
i think it's funny how similar the old english is to german grammar... "thou hast" = "du hast", "thine" = "dein", .... yay! :D
@valinhorn42 lol ya probibly just need abit o practice =P we read romeo and juliet in english, and i was the only one who understood everything while my whole class was like "...huh?" and i wanna learn German lol..mabye my grandma can teach me. either german or spannish :3 lol
@MillieBoBilly good luck with that, but you need to know that german is one hell of a difficult language grammar-wise. then again, most germans don't speak german correctly either :P that goes even so far that if you DO speak it correctly, you get weird looks for talking like an intellectual or something xD
hmm, guess i'll actually pick up some shakespeare; maybe the comedy of errors because we saw a shortened version of the play and it wasn't too hard to understand. and funny :D
I Dos rememberd thie boss of thie alrea can dos show thie viewing Auldeince thie easy und thie normal path on witch thy bone...Eek i shant speak of wat thie oponent shall be knon as.
