  • For the love of god muse, please play the old stuff live again! I don't give a shit about undisclosed desires or uprising. This is a completely different band.

  • this song is like playing with a scab to get that pain into focus and maybe heal faster. i cant call a friend cause i know the blueprint of their consolation.

  • she says she wants to be friends after she ripped my heart with a straight face. all the memories are now poison in my veins.

  • @lasheron it gets better. i know it's impossible for you to believe that, but i have been there, and it gets better. therapy helped me, i think it can help you too.

  • im falling down..and she is saying too late. it hurts soo much. i could only think of this song while i cried.

  • real muse, now its bullshit

  • Sounds exactly like Ten Years Gone by Led Zeppelin

  • owww this is one of my favorites, it touched my heart <3

  • if you're down, this song isn't going to help but i still love it

  • I'd carve their songs in my heart

  • Before hearing this song Ive loved every Muse song. And I still LOVE every muse song!!!

  • I'd say MUSE ist just ingenious. They're an Alternative Rock band who connect their music with Prrogressive Rock, Hard Rock and Electronic wich leads to New Prog. They have the best and most genious songs ever but you can also find romantic love songs like unintended and falling away with you. Though, every song is awesome, special and unique, from the first to the last album.

That's called succesful and creative an that's why i won't stop loving muse and listening to their music.

  • @thenyewnyew can have sex with your comment

  • gorgeous melodic song! I love this! love the guitar chords on this! can hear a lot of Thom York influence....but still love the Muse!!!!!! beautiful song....brilliant lyrics....they are amazing to see in concert...saw them a few years back before they were huge

  • @annamarieintex I think this has more of a Jeff Buckley influence, especially when I see the live performances. The second half of the album has more of the Thom Yorke style.

  • @FretsonFireMuse hmmm, I've seen Muse live, too, but didn't feel a Jeff Buckley influence at all in their music.....tho after listening to this song again....I must agree with you that this does sound like something you'd hear off of "Grace"....not many peeps know Jeff Buckley...bravo! nice taste! Jeff is my top fav. :)

  • @annamarieintex Thanks.

I think I stated something wrong though, when I meant live, I meant when they play this song live, not like seeing them in person (because they don't play this anymore) but on video. When I see the video of Falling Down from MCM Cafe that's when I see a Buckley influence.

  • This is just perfect. It's fucking perfect.

  • F*ck ,How deep is my love for this awsome Band!! Muse.!!!

  • @paulachenxoxo I know what you mean ... I think every muser here do know it.

  • I love this song so much and i love sing it too when a situation is fucked up. Lol

  • I played this on the guitar to my ex-girlfriend and she took the hump, lol

  • @FudgePackProductions Same here. I even warned her not to take the lyrics seriously. Women!

  • This song makes me cry...

  • @Xylvani lolfag

  • in**

  • fucking amazing

  • This song is beautiful.

  • you know it wasn't you

    it WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASn't YOUUUUUU

se avessi una voce come la sua sarei pieno di ragazze :D

  • @rotinho87 e la prima sarei io! ;)

  • @venaciomiki I'm a christian but i still listen to MUSE because they are just that awesome

  • @16DJams this sounds like Christian music. Check out ambient-dreamy Buckethead compositions, Tennis, Two Wounded Birds, The Drums,...

  • @16DJams same here, dude.

  • @16DJams when it comes to Muse it doesn't matter what religion you are, because we are united as the Musers!

  • This and showbiz are the best songs off the first album.

  • They are the best; no matter if you listen to gospel, death brutal metal, bossanova or gothic instrumental, you must be able to recognize it.

  • Read the autobiography of MUSE then listen to this song. Knowing what it's about makes it that much more amazing to listen to! :)

  • @HailinJune How did you get the autobiography???? I WANT ONE!!!

  • @BerriMuse17 uh, Musewiki....duh...?

  • @thecitizenme but anyone can put anything on wikipedia, let alone MuseWiki... I'll still check it out though :P

  • @BerriMuse17 theres this thing called citation on both sites..=="..and musewiki and wikipedia users edit the pages by referring to a source and would be banned if false information was added...

  • @thecitizenme Okay! Okay! I don't want to spark up an argument up with you. Especially with a Muse fan.

  • @BerriMuse17 lol...no..no...just adding filling up some information that you got wrong...:D muser to muser thingy

  • @thecitizenme Glad to hear, fellow Muser :)

  • Damn...

  • My new favourite song :D

  • /watch?v=AA5gC6TR15A&feature=channel_video_title

  • I love this song.. i have a question for the musers who play guitar.. it is recorded with a bit out of tune?

  • @MetalAngel88 Yep try tuning (if possible) like a quarter of a step down, between e flat and e

  • @amazingrangers21 thank you! i think is right ..

  • @MetalAngel88

As a musician myself I applaud the fact and regard it as intentional dissonance. It's what gives it that hollow and falling feeling. A lot of music does it but it much smaller amounts, like a transition or a vibrato.

Maybe they did or didn't mean to create it slightly out of tune, but I think that adds to the beauty.

  • @UnabridgedComics it is unlikely that musicians as good as these would be out of tune by accident, i reckon it was on purpose. my favorite muse song, invincible is deliberately sung flat.

  • @UnabridgedComics the song is undoubtedly most beautiful so registered. Mine was a simple question .. I love muse!

  • this so song is so raw (in a very good way of course)

    isn't it?

  • I can't help myself to SHOOOOOOOOOUT

  • This song is really gospel? Thumbs up if ur pickin up that vibe so I know I'm not crazy. PS Muse rocks ya mama!!

  • @GoGoRillaChap Eh, not really. This is more rock. Early Muse and any other time periods arn't gospel.

  • @TheBigPedoSecret :D Thanks!

  • I DID IT I DID IT I LEARNED IT ON GUITAR I DID IT I DID IT *explodes of happiness*

  • @ChristinaGamingVideo ..and then you realise you can't play along to it because his guitar is slightly flat! :P

  • @loodleliddle i just learnt this and found that out lol

  • @13musicrules there's expressing yourself, and then there's being what I like to call a "poetic douche"...

  • @CoN0R115 and then theres being a loser for looking at youtube comments to bash,ya i guess we both suck haha

  • Sublime! Can't stop listening to this!

  • Best part of this song, for me, is the bit following 3:40. it's amazing! But then, so is the whole song!

  • this song reminds me of my dear girlfriend, my baby, my sweetheart.. old dark times.. when we were in a predicament.. it brings back the joy and agony of missing her.. her beauty.. these notes.. these notes gently touch my soul.. each one is a grain of sand to me that builds an ocean.. her smell is the ocean.. she is too amazing for me to describe.. this song.. is the song. If things ever go bad between us.. if we don't 'last'.. this will be the song i'll cry to and sing in agony, but pride.

  • @FeaRxMaGiq Wow, you're a douche. BIG TIME. "these notes.. these notes gently touch my soul.. each one is a grain of sand to me that builds an ocean..". Shut up you ponce.

  • @CoN0R115 hey!!! they're just saying what they feel, at least they can and they're not scared to like you clearly are so you're the ponce around here, just leave people alone what did they ever do to you??? you're just jealous coz he's in love

  • fukin love this masterpiece!

  • I can hear a lot of Jeff Buckley and a little bit of Radiohead influence in this song and I love it :DDD

  • I wish I knew Muse lonnnnggg time ago,It woulda been awesomee =\ like in origin of symmetry era or even showbiz era

  • and it wasnt you, no, it WAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHSNT you, NOOOOOOOOO lol i love it

    Stupenda Song.. Profonda..

    Italy Love MUSE !!

  • Radiohead??

  • @ilikechocolatemilk99 funny thing is growing up I LOVED many of radioheads songs. But I just couldnt connect with a lot of their stranger stuff. I wanted their music to all be more like paranoid android and no surprises etc. I was also frustrated that very few of their songs ever had real meaning in them or at least meaning that could be deciphered without taking drugs (lol). I loved them, but i felt something was missing. Then one day I heard Butterflies and Hurricanes and it was over for me

  • @ilikechocolatemilk99 : radiomuse :O)

  • Muse !!!

Hör mir die Lieder jetzt das Erste mal an & Jedes Einzelne Lied ist der Hammer !! :)

  • @warmandsunnydays

I prefer 'staying awake to chase a dream' but it depends where you're getting it?

  • Muse has done some really high pitched songs from Micro Cuts to Showbiz, but this is crazy amazing!!!!

  • i loved muse before i was even a (new born)

    ";;"

  • @Nickwissell icwhatyoudidthere

  • @Nickwissell newborn? too mainstream i loved them before they were muse

  • @linkabron hipster douche.... if they are a fan of Muse, and a good enough fan to even know the song New Born, unlike all of the twilight fags, then that's good enough.

  • @TheYankeesdawg lol i was joking geez XD i hate douche hipsters too

  • Amazing song..one of my favourites..

  • Those vocals are fucking animalistic [That's a good thing btw] such a genius songwriter & the best male voice of the 21st century in my opinion. GREAT SONG from a very underrated album

  • @yonschnee16 omg bad pun ftw

  • Call me crazy, but I'm seriously stuck whether I want a tattoo saying "Staying awake to chase a dream" or "I'm heading straight for the clouds". Which one?

  • @warmandsunnydays yeah, staying awake to chase a dream.

  • @warmandsunnydays hands down steying awake to chase a dream (:

  • This song breaks my heart every time... truly beautiful

  • @warmandsunnydays how do you live?????heart transplants everytime???jk

  • @669525 The hospital has started turning me away when I walk in the door cause I'm there just about every week to request a new one. Lol

  • @warmandsunnydays definately staying awake to chase a dream

  • He seems to enjoy the fact that is wasn't you.

  • Start of this sounds like coldplay

  • @guyfromdubai I was thinking that... glad it wasn't just me.

  • Muse can do anything. Even the blues.

  • Cette chanson est si...magnifique!!...longue vie à MUSE

  • Wonder who the only person was that disliked this

  • The person that disliked should just go ahead and die.

  • supergut! :) live noch besser. rock am ring 2010 <3

  • I think this is on their best albums

  • it's magical :)

  • I really like this song. It's one of those things I can really feel, a bit like Hate this and ill love you.

It makes me nostalgic for something I never knew. I mean, I didn't even know muse in the 'showbiz' era but it make me miss this style of muse. There's only one word to decribe this - genius.

  • Were they still figuring thier sound out, during Showbiz?

  • wow it's the first time I hear to this song................... I'm really speechless... impressed.... It's a little masterpiece...!

  • @DesiPattinson like crack

  • My favourite song from them

  • the more i listen to showbiz, the more i love muse, but the more disappoionted i am in their newer stuff i am.

  • @FOFballer their new stuff is still good every band has its flaws but muse has very few you cant blame them for trying to experiment with a new sound they already said their next albums sound is gana be more subtle so we can maybe have another showbiz or OOS album

  • @iHaTeNoooBz OOS?!?!? Subtle?!?!?!?

dont get me wrong, i love the album but its not subtle lol

I guess if you mean the messages in the songs...

    meh

  • @ANNOYINGGAMEGUY i mean as in sound when you strip down resistance it has so many effects that arent needed

  • @iHaTeNoooBz yer i mean its not theyre best album, but everyone eperiments XD

  • @iHaTeNoooBz im not saying that the new stuff is bad, im just saying that its far inferior to showbiz, OOS and absolution.

  • I just woke up, and first thing i did : listening to this song. what a peaceful wake up :)

  • ...yeah.. NO it wasn't you... sorry.

  • lol sounds like the white stripes on helium

  • @7thsamurai19 .... no it sounds like muse white stripes sound like muse

  • i hate the part in 4:34

    =(

  • Bellamy has the most amazing voice I have ever heard.

  • Great variety in all of Muse's songs, all in all a truly amazing band. :)

  • too late, i already found what i was looking for

  • Recently broken up and this song is my anthem atm. My heart aches and yet this song strangely makes me feel better

  • best counter tenor i heard in a long time <3

  • I started listening to muse back in 2001. This song brings me back.

  • @maniacchris lucky, I only dicovered them in 2006

  • @AmazingPurpleCat lucky, i discovered them in 2008 haha n_n, sometimes i ask me, what the heck did you used to hear then?

  • @Basetrem Woah there, I'm a faggot because I didn't listen to Muse when I was three years old?

  • @htfussman32

tecnically, i was a faggot even when i was three years old anyway :) i hope you understand the "antifona"

  • @0trafalgar0 I do, I'm not a homophobe (If that's what you mean - sorry if I'm wrong). I was just saying that @Basestrem is being a bit of an idiot for calling people homosexuals just because of that.

  • you are, indeed :) jk

stop arguing and enjoy the music!!!

    @htfussman32

  • @D4nc1FTW Good idea

  • @htfussman32 LOL

  • @Basetrem people started before you you know. they became a band 12 years ago so theres a 2 year time frame. faggot

  • @Basetrem uhh, escuse me, if it wasnt for us 'faggots', muse would have died out.

  • @alyoucha No they wouldnt, Muse had millions of fans before twilight. My self included, all twilight did was tarnish Muse's reputation with their true fans.

I get that some people who found Muse through twilight are true fans, i mean i found Muse through 28 weeks later, but never say that Twilight made muse because thats a lie.

  • @ANNOYINGGAMEGUY lol 28 weeks later? really? i never knew a muse song was featured in it

  • @koalashooter1 Yer shrinking universe is on the trailer lol :)

  • @Basetrem im a faggot and this is muse's best song. so thx for being a prick.. yeah awesome.

  • @Basetrem How can you say that when there are people here who have been listening to them for longer than 10 years. -.-

  • @Basetrem well done for for insultin a thousands of people in one go :) skill oh and for calling a lot of the muse fan base faggots that was a really good idea :)

  • hey @Basetrem how about some respect, hm?

Love for music isn't based on your age. And Bellamy isn't J Biebs....there are MOST likely not ten year olds listening to this. if they are, then they are some pretty awesome ten year olds. so give it a rest, don't think you're better than everyone here just because you knew them when I was 7. calling people ignorant fucks (lmao) and faggots won't get you anywhere...hahaha...you sadden me slightly

  • @luv4life78

    gimme a lil kiss

  • @Basetrem uhm I think I'll pass.. people who put others down aren't really my type.

  • @luv4life78 I liked Muse when I was 10 LOL
