lol. theres more to a hit than the power. it's a great shot, threaded the needle you could say and he hit it fucking hard. and how often do you see a ball get bounced to the roof in a GAME, warm up is different. and i've been in the RDC gym numerous times and that is a pretty huge bounce he hit.

Well i didnt say it was bad, i said that i see better every day. To hit a ball down the line and hit 1 meter from the attacing line isnt so impressive. His reach isnt that impressiv either.

Great so he's a giant and has a pretty nice vert. It doesn't mean other people can't do better. He's touching the average touch of an Olympics player, which is very solid. Still, it doesn't mean anything. Some people could touch 12' and suck.

To follow up from awhile ago, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to sound harsh, though I see how you could think that I was. I actually know Gavin is amazing, I was simply saying I know he can do even better. I know for a fact, not even just guessing, that Gavin Schmitt is an absolutely massive hitter. I know he can bounce inside the ten foot line and have the ball bounce way higher than that. I even sent a video of him hitting harder.

Like I said, impressive hit, but clearly not the best he can do. He's one of the best opposites you can find, I'm sure someone has a vid of him bouncing to the ceiling or something.

I'm not cocky at all. In fact, I often worry about how well I will do in volleyball, never overly confident about myself.

My point is it was a "good hit" just like you said, nothing great. If you put a video up on You Tube that says that it's great, I expect it to be a huge bounce.

My other point is that the first pass was awful, first hit was awful, the defense was WTF is he doing falling over on that awful, then it was just good. It was just like any other good hit.

if this is terrible volleyball why did gavin schmitt's team (RDC) win nationals 9 years in a row at the CCAA level. as well as MRC on the far side winning the CCAA championship the year after this video was taken?... making these two teams the best teams in the country at the college level.

you are some cali kid trying to talk smack about candian teams to canadians. first of all University of Alberta is in CIS not CCAA. two different leagues. 9 consecutive national championships including the win in the year this video was taken.

the rightside with the miscomunication on the other team touches 11'8 i believe (Jr. national team) and i watched as he (and 3 others on the 'bad' team) beat UCLA earlier this year when they came to canada.
