  • One of the best songs to get your soul on.

    THANK YOU!

  • omg! this song is the best ever!

  • Oh. My. God. I have nevery heard a version of this song that was this good.. hands down amazing song bout brought a tear to my eye

  • i love!!!!! it's a very good version!!!!!

  • my dad sang this for me when i was three minutes old...:)

so wunderful to hear it again...♥

  • @summertimegirlinlove how du u remember ??? xD

  • @aneejah i dont :) my daddy told me :)

  • so smooooooooth....

  • Nice version. Male and female vocals are perfect.

  • I grew up in the South and have heard hundred of versions of "Summer time". This is one of the best. It captures the old bluesey feeling of summer in the South.

  • Who is the women, who sings??....

  • For all the guitarists:

**am E am E** 2x at "Summertime and the living is easy",

**dm dm C C E E** at "Fish are jumpin' and the cotton is high", then

**am E am E** 2x again at "Your daddy's rich ....", and finally

**C am dm E (am E am E)** at "So hush little baby and don't you cry"

It repeats on every other verse.

At 2:56 (when it changes), it's the same thing but played on different positions and with some variations in the chords, the difference is quite easy to discern.

    Hope this helped

  • Mmm, what kind of music is this? i really love it but never new the type of music it was. Anyone?

  • @simplelee92 i suppose kinda soul or blues/ jazz xx

  • @simplelee92 LOL... Tell me you ain't never heard blues.

  • LOL Ya'll really don't know? This is from the American folk opera "Porgey and Bess" by George Gershwin in the 1930s. Read the Wikkipedia article. The performers are "Big Daddy Wilson and the Mississippi Grave Diggers." For a New York boy Gershwin had a good feel for blues.

  • @bustermaness : I looked for both of them, but nothing comes out on google....at least not something together I mean.

Please help me, gotta find this version in another format....CD or Mp3.
