In writing the book, I found there was a very substanial body of solid literature out there on the subject. There was a general expectation humans would visit Mars after the Apollo missions to the Moon, and since the 1950s there's been a lot of research done into planning Mars missions by government space agencies and other researchers. More recently, we have found out a lot more about what the planet is like from robotic probes. Guy Murphy

Are they serious? They've never even been to mars!!!! How do they know?!! Sounds like they're after the money.
