It's about big waves and how they train. These big wave surfers have to hold there breath for about2-3 minutes. you should check the DVD out, its really interesting :)

life jacket gives counts for nothing when it comes to waves that size as far as DURING the beating the wave gives you.....ive been held under for 10-15 seconds or so hanging onto my 6'4"very buoyant surfboard 10-12 feet under water...then the wave subsides a bit and you FLY to the surface....literally come halfway out of the water when you break the surface. not very often you can hang onto a board though. i got caught inside on a big set...duckdived...didnt make it..over the lip 15 foot slam.
