  • Another great video ruined by comments from argumentative idiots. I surf, windsurf and bodyboard. None of those sports are better or "cooler" than any other, they're simply different ways of enjoying the natural playground that is the ocean. Grow up.

  • Pronounced Tea hoo Poo!

  • @letsgosurfingdude yeah, like you know better

  • @racooninabag well apparently letsgosurfingdude know's a lot better than you do.

  • @letsgosurfingdude Fucking Idiot

  • @letsgosurfingdude No it's pronounced 'cho-poo'.

  • @icthruu4evr you got that right ;)

  • DONT EVER COME TO PORTUGAL...

  • i hate when people say Cho-poo. It's Tey-ahh-hoo-poh-oh

  • @ynomrahesor Fucking idiot

  • @laxsurf52695 You're straight stupid, kid. When have i once called Mark Healey a kook? I've never had the opportunity to surf Teahupoo, yet. But even if i have what would that have to do with anything? The only person i called a kook was the dumb ass who said it doesn't hurt, maybe if you read my comment a bit closer, you wouldn't look so fuckin dumb.

  • Comment removed

  • @chayote96 Hahaha! You're the obvious kook I bet you would shit your pants if you even got close to Teahupoo! I bet the waves you call 6 ft are probably 3 footers you're just too kookish to know the difference. Ever wiped out on a 5 foot deep sandbar on a 6 footer? Dude youre just stupid.

  • Comment removed

  • @jordyboy056 Dude, shut the fuck up. Not once have i said it doesn't hurt, I'm telling this goon how much it does hurt....

  • Would someone please help me out here... i've never understood how people dont get cut up every single wipeout on reef breaks, like how do they stop themselves getting smashed into the reef at pipeline when theres only like 5 feet of water? i know a lot of people do get injured but i cant get how so many come out unscathed

  • @asaw1994 you contort your body and try to swim where up is. i dont surf waves like this but i have surfed where the reef is a foot under your fin and the waves are six foot average, and ive wiped out, first time i got a nice scratch along my back, but you learn to just move up and stay up

  • dude theres no possible way to explain how much force the wave has, or anything like that. Any surfer thats been caught inside on a big day, KNOWS what it feels like, and can only imagine what this wave is probrably like. STUPID FUCKING GARRIES GO RIDE A DIRTBIKE AND STFU

  • @TrySomeCrack 1st off ur acting like u kno everything about everything..second..falling on a wave even a 6 footer doesnt hurt unless ur a totall pussy(maby the 1 he fell on did^ cuz its pretty frickin gnarly)ill admit tht falling and getting tossed around sucks but its wutever..u get up and get over it, no need to cry..and im pretty sure u rnt pro so i wudnt be calling him a kook

  • @wutupwitdat1 ur a fag

  • @wutupwitdat1 I'm so fucking over dumbass kids like you. How am I even implying that I "know everything about everything"? And another thing, I'd seriously like to see you try to even stand up on a 6 foot sized wave haha! And I'll say ONE MORE TIME for all you fuckin idiots. NOT ONCE DID I CALL MARK HEALEY A KOOK, but actually the clueless, conceded, 15 year old fuck who said it wouldn't hurt.

  • @wutupwitdat1 OH AND ANOTHER YOU DUMB PIECE OF SHIT! You don't typically get up from falling on a set like that at Teahupoo and just "get over it". Seriously though man, I can't stress it enough. Shut The Fuck Up. and don't rant on about shit that you have no idea about. hahaha

  • @TrySomeCrack ..falling on a wave even a 6 footer doesnt hurt unless ur a totall pussy(maby the 1 he fell on did^ cuz its pretty frickin gnarly)ill admit tht falling and getting tossed around sucks but its wutever..u get up and get over it, no need to cry..and im not just ranting..ur just a stupid ass bitch who needs to chill the fuck out..why shud any of us listen to sum1s whos user name is "try some cack" yea u sound like a real winner..sike

  • he was lucky and he was going fast enough that he skipped another 30 yds farther on his back which helped him get farther down the line. and still he was lucky he didn get his face scrubbed on a coral head or lava rock.

glad he made it out alive.

  • @nootaramus

he would have been a red stain on the reef.

  • when you hit water at speed, its like hitting concrete, you see them bounce?? these guys are going 30-35 miles an hour, faster at jaws. don't tell me that doesn't hurt like fuck. go jump out of a car at 35.

  • my dream after 13 years of surfing, is to be on the shoulder of Teahupoo on a big day. I want to feel that power first hand.

  • @Tricky858 Just shut up. You're probably some 13 year old in Michigan who's never even seen the beach. hahahah

    srsly stfu

  • @Tricky858 I have, well I would consider a 20 foot Wedge set a decently big wave.

  • hoooly dam, i would be scared outta my mind

  • how long do you have to hold your breath when you fall in one of those waves????

  • shut up all of you half of you probally havent even surfed double over

  • He could of made that

  • @Grant AustinPeace Hahah I think YOU need to show some respect and actually know the situation before you fucking go on a rant trying to stand up for a conceded, red neck from Colorado, silly.

Oh and by the way, he told me he's never been in the ocean, so that would obviously prove my thinking that he's never been in the ocean. KOOK, get a life.

  • It#s not about ability to hold your breath at teahupoo, it's all about getting hit with force or hitting the reef.

People have had their faces torn off from that reef.

  • stfu that nothing try surfing jaws backwards

  • Fuckn sick cunt!

  • @Poptartarsauce i just recently air dropped a good 7 feet at wedge, popped out one of my stringers, probably would have felt better to hit concrete...

  • i get so sick of all the wanna be surfers that think they know everything

theirs no point being harsh to people just because their new to surfing

    chill out trysomecrack

just smoke a little crack HAHA.

  • @jesus2791 It's not the fact that that he's new to surfing, not at all. he's sitting on YouTube ranting about how "pussy" big wave surfing is, when he lives in Colorado and has never even tried surfing before!

And yes, I'm sick of all the "wanna be surfers that think they know everything" too. That's why i think your opinion doesn't matter, jesus.

  • how do people have the kahunas to do this shit?

  • ............. wow.............

  • You can be David Blaine and hold your breath for over 10 minutes, but I bet he would have died on that wave. It's all about your mental concentration while getting worked.

  • @ozzydoop

    shut up pussy!

  • I went to F.P. for our honeymoon. All of the waves break about a half mile out on the reef.. I cut up my feet just walking over the reef let alone getting dragged over it. Much respect to all of the warriors that surf Teahupoo on anything over 10'.

  • how deep is the water wen it hits the reef???

  • sketchy

  • too much talk, not enough footage, jesus

  • oh my god! saw him at surf expo!

  • Awesome........

  • Wow. Teahupoo is the fucking proving ground.

    Great vid.

  • What the fuck "coolness"?.... "tell them that it dosent hurt to fall into a giant wave .....it only hurts if u hit the reef.....people can be such dumbasses." What do you mean is doesn't hurt to fall in a wave? You've probably never been in the fucking ocean, it feels like your in a washer, Your getting thrown around everywhere, can't come up for breath, your hitting the sand... It's horrible, even if it's just a little 6 foot set. It hurts. Fucking kook.

  • Then you come up for air, your arms feel like lead, the hearts on overload and youre in the wipeout zone and yeah 6 ft can mess up your day too.

  • relax dude. dont be so aggro. puts you on the same kookish level. of course the guys a kook. and youre right obviously...

  • @TrySomeCrack not to mention your face smacking the water feels like a brick wall

  • @TrySomeCrack you obviously have never been on a wave and its so big where you hit the water and it feels like concrete

  • @Poptartarsauce i once hit the water on a free fall and came out bleeding like i had been hit by mike tyson

  • @TrySomeCrack kook? you think hes never been in the ocean? Have some respect. YOU WOULD NEVER GO OUT IN TEAHUPOO! especially if you think a 6ft set hurts.... buy a surfboard silly

  • @TrySomeCrack of course it hurts , but in extreme panic situation ur body kinda disconnects from ur mind and u kinda not feel the pain or whatever is happening

  • @blopiful Until you come up...

  • @TrySomeCrack or maybe ur jst a pussy!

  • @cqbmaster1 or maybe *looks at your subscriptions* your a stoner

  • @cqbmaster1 Or maybe you are... I mean... you are the one talking shit over YouTube and have probably never seen the ocean...

  • @TrySomeCrack fck off u homo

  • @cqbmaster1 Haha

  • @cqbmaster1 shhh its ok mister 12 year old. oh btw did you know 1 square meter of water weighs 2 tons?

  • @PandaLikes2RawR and how u no tht did ur teacher tell u?

  • @cqbmaster1 Google did. Also have you ever heard of grammar?

  • @PandaLikes2RawR yes i have heard of grammer and dnt beileave every thing off the internet!

  • @cqbmaster1 Sounds like somebody needs a hug....

Just stop talking, you're annoying and have no idea what you're talking about haha

  • @TrySomeCrack ur fckn thik u really belive every thing the internet says ! ur a fckn moron and i no wat im talking about

  • @cqbmaster1 What the fuck are you talking about? You think this is fake?

and obviously you have NO CLUE what you're talking about. haha

  • @TrySomeCrack not the vid this is total bullshit=meter of water weighs 2 tons wtf? tht wat ive been going on about?

  • @cqbmaster1 You just look like an idiot dude. go home

  • @TrySomeCrack < what sort of a name is tht "trysomecrack'' what sort of a loser are u ,i look like an idiot these comments are like 6 months why did u start annoying me again

  • @TrySomeCrack even 2 feet :D

  • @skateboard325 no not 2 feet

  • @corban48 haha lol

  • yeh, tore a ligament in my leg purely from the turbulence in a wave, and it was barely head high. I heard at cylops, people have had their spine broken with the weight of the water (1 cubic meter weighs a ton, so there are many tons of water pounding this poor guy)

  • @underdonkey5 anyone who surfs cyclops is just askin for a deathwish. its an evil bastard of a wave.

  • @TrySomeCrack so youve fell on a big wave sure

  • @Tricky858 Not as big as that! But big enough to the point that It snapped a stringer clean out of my bodyboard and i was pretty dazed as to where I even was. So yes, probably bigger than anything you've ever done. hahaha

  • @TrySomeCrack yeah, one gallon of water is about 8 pounds, and the lip of teahupoo is easily over 50 gallons in a small section, so that comin down on you would suk

  • @heatflame7 apparently a 60 foot wave face carries over 1 million swimming pools.

  • @TrySomeCrack ya lets see a vid of u surfing teahupoo, lets not even go to the levels of adrenaline pumping through him btw im guessing ur a dumb fuck so lemme tell u what adrenaline does it increases heart rate and puts more oxygen into ur body but also u dont feel pain as much so his body being pumped up with adrenaline he probably was just worried about his life and didnt feel the pain..... please let me see u surf teahupoo if your going to call him a kook

  • @TrySomeCrack each inch of the lip in teahpoo = 1 ton of water yeah sure it doesnt hurt.........

  • @TrySomeCrack damn straight man

  • @TrySomeCrack C'mon, your not thinking about pain then, the adrenaline is taking over your body completely at that point.... There's nothing that can overcome that amount of adrenaline but of course you wouldn't know, your one of those YouTube haters... You've never surfed a wave like that and that's just obvious so think twice before you talk shit...

  • @QAiSDuDe Lol you didnt either you fuck tard.

  • @TrySomeCrack Mark Healy is a Kook, but he has surfed bigger waves than any of us on this site has, he even swims with sharks! No need to make fun of a fellow surfer, have respect to your own kin

  • @chayote96 Do you even surf? Seriously...?

Drowning hurts... and so does being in a giant washing machine thats trying to to tear you limb from limb without even being able to breath. Does water boarding hurt?

  • Comment removed

  • @chayote96 Haha in California we don't need to surf foam balls sorry where do you surf the great lakes lol?

  • crazy

  • phsyco

  • caramba! o cara sobreviveu pra contar a história!

já fui no tahiti, mas fui para visitar e não para surfar, mas vi as ondas e tem uns 4 á 7 andares!

  • your all fucking stupid on the real.

  • how deep right there?

  • @DJTrapsTV about 5-8 feet

  • pause at 3:05

  • why.......

  • WHAT A NUT CASE HAHA!!

  • how long did he have to hold his breath anyway?

  • im asking myself the same thing ...

  • well, i have a DVD called: Billabong Odeyssey.

It's about big waves and how they train. These big wave surfers have to hold there breath for about2-3 minutes. you should check the DVD out, its really interesting :)

  • he had a life jacket on

  • life jacket gives counts for nothing when it comes to waves that size as far as DURING the beating the wave gives you.....ive been held under for 10-15 seconds or so hanging onto my 6'4"very buoyant surfboard 10-12 feet under water...then the wave subsides a bit and you FLY to the surface....literally come halfway out of the water when you break the surface. not very often you can hang onto a board though. i got caught inside on a big set...duckdived...didnt make it..over the lip 15 foot slam.

  • i dont really care

  • but you do suck. big time. just let the guy tell a story. if you dont care just read over it and mind your own business. kook

  • That wave was so sick! you are a lucky dude!

  • they say if u jump from 100 ft into water, it will be like falling on concrete

  • Comment removed

  • this wave could easily kill you

  • people get mad when i tell them that it dosent hurt to fall into a giant wave .....it only hurts if u hit the reef.....people can be such dumbasses../:( ....they just get caught up in the fact that it SOUNDS like im showing off or something.........i havent even surfed yet /:(

  • if you havent surfed then how can you make that judgement? have you ever belly flopped or landed on your back into a pool off of a diving board?

  • lol cuz i might be going soon so..iv been studying stuff like that and i watched this show and this one big wave surfer said it dosent hurt that bad to fall in giant waves that dont go on the reef......i guess it might hurt pretty bad but ..i mean more like life danger kindof stuff..sorry if i made u think i ment otherwise

  • Agreed. Even on a small day at wedge, I sometimes get out red on my face or back, but not sunburned

  • Since youve never surfed and it sounds like your trying NOT to sound like a kook i will just say this. its not really the falling that hurts. its the absolute BEATING you get. Think about the force a wave that size hits the water millions of gallons of water dropping from 20 feet...find the math. its astounding. THEN you get tossed around like a blender. nothing in this world short of careening down a very steep rugged hill flopping end over end could you imagine what that beating feels like.

  • not to mention your foot (surf) of your arm (bodyboard) being snapped off by your leash if the board is still attached to it.

  • thats why you dont have a leash when u ride monsters...

  • tard thats the only way u can ride monsters, u cant get enough speed to drop otherwise

  • Are you serious?

THE LEASH FROM UR BOARD DOESNT GIVE YOU ANY SPEED.. IT MAKES SURE YOU DONT LOSE YOUR BOARD WHEN UR RIDING NORMAL WAVES... tard

  • Comment removed

  • your arm or leg wont snap off, the leash just breaks.

i've never heard of a case where someones limbs snapped off because of a leash lol

  • of course not, i was streching it a "bit too far" lol (in this case streching is the correct word ;) )

Well you know that feeling being pulled by your board....

  • well then i tell u: it does hurt and it can fucking drown u. if u crash with water at high speeds u gain surfing its almost same as crashing with concrete. superficial tension. try it then judge u dumbass. ive been half unconscious for wipeout-ing on big waves that r much smaller than this n u say it doesnt hurt... -.-'

  • it sounds like u only looked at one comment instead of looking at the whole conversation .....try agian ...and i crash in concrete all the time....it dosent hurt if your tuff enoph any way .....and im sick of people saying try it and then judge...because guess wat i want to try it ....but i live in colorado and we dont have much money so please.....

  • this is an answer to why u have to be so experienced on surfing to drop some in a place like teahupoo...

not only ur body, but u have to be mentaly prepared (by some waves in the past) to not have something like a heart attack on a wipeout like this one.

  • @malvina82rj loll

  • I would have died to a hearth attck right when my feet slip of the board xD jk

  • Comment removed

  • this is "the angry wave" from thicker than water, isn`t it?

  • Really lucky he didn't get thrown onto the reef.

  • Be baked.

  • the fact that he fell about six feet and landed on his back on the face of the wave without going under and just getting skimmed down the face ontop of the water proves how much this wave sucks up.

  • Dicing with death

  • So lucky he didn't hit the bottom...

  • Dam I would of just died from getting thrown within the barrel

  • Good thing Mark can hold his breath a loooong time!

  • Great video. Needs more love for sure!
