soldier 1923.... i fucked ur mama bitch fagg suck my dick u lyier turks kill hrant dink because he gave proff to the world that turkey killed 1.5 million armenians in 1915 ok so stop lying u turkgay thats being a pussy and u and turkgay are being pussys now so suck a dick next time and think before u turkgays talk!!!
Isn't the murder of Turks who were not even born in 1915 ignorantly illogical? On July 31,1980,Galip Ozmen, the Turkish attaché in Athens,Greece, was assassinated along with his daughter,Neslihan. Why haven't Armenians denounced ASALA terrorists yet?Haven't they heard of a legal principle in which criminal guilt is generally regarded strictly personal not inherited from father to son!
Dispite my good intentions of changing my opinion about Turks(not all of them but majority)I can't help myself not to think more. Hurriyet ,04/04/2007
Bakan Koc,Alanyadaki dinler bahcesi icin sorulan soruya cevaben, soyle demish,
!5 20 bin Alanyada yasayan Almanin dinlerini sey edeyim.
As far as I am concern ,it doesn't take to understand what he realy meant, and this is suppose to be a to Turkish official.I can't believe that I ve been naive enough even to change my mind.
Yeah, our beloved(!) Culture Minister Mr. Koc. You know what, I'm ok with an "Operation Turkish Freedom" by the US marines, just capturing these two motherfuckers Attila Koc and Kemal Unakitan. Please America, invade their homes and beat the crap out of them... Save the Turkish people from idiocy. Ok, you can take our P.M. with them :P
Thanx for the feed back, just an addition though,Nigger is officialy a forbidden word in USA,if anybody is called with this word as African American, they are in big trouble,I hope you understand the difference. I also spoke with some Christian minorities in Turkey, they 'r specialy disturbed with this Gavur word too,any plans to do for that?
zirowerdy,my intention was not to sound aggressive atall. I tell you how I felt to be called Gavur, despite our best efforts of having good friends in Turkey, once we tried to practice our faith, wanted to share with locals,oh boy ,it was considered spying and ect. We westerners in the west, have no problem for Islamic nations to let them practice their faith freely, why do you not give the same chances to theothers in your countries?
Next time you come to Turkey you should check Alanya, on the southern coast of Turkey and speak to some of the Germans who settled there. About you being offended by being called a "gavur"... Well, you are right. However, it is impossible for me to explain to you that adjective is older than the USA itself, and it's NOT a derogatory word. We also call all black skinned people "zenci", but that's also different than calling them "niggers".
They are just the Turkish words to describe a non-muslim and a black person respectively. However, if somebody feels offended by it, it shouldn't be used I guess. Well we have a long way for learning to be "politically correct". For the time being, just take my word as to whoever told you that might not have meant it in a negative way, but just as a way to "define" you, since you are different than him. Peace out
To give you just a breif answer,Izmir,Adana, and short times in afew other southeastern Turkey, that should be good enough, right? Or maybe you want more,my social security number, birth day,my name,my current addres,my wifes name,my children's name, ect, huh?
Bismarcker,i wasnt trying to harass u with my questions, was just curious after reading your observation about Turkey. so i dont think that you have to exaggerate your answer.
Plus, politicians are master liers in all countries- including your "tolerant" country.
I am sorry that your experiences about Turkey are limited to seeing that aggressive and conceited foreigners are treated as Gavurs. I am, really- hoping that u're not as conceited and aggresive as ur msgs indicate.
I would want to ask what's wrong with you guys(two nations)as a person if I havent spent afew years on duty in turkey but those 2 years thought me what a master liers the Turks are in politics.Since US sees Turkey as a toy country to take advantage of it's military and strategic location,we have been tolarent for Turkey for all these years but they never will stop seeing nonmuslims as Gavur.
its like ok otomenempyer were difrent people if ur grate grandpa was otomen u cheng the name to turky and u were born ur the same shit its not like ur considerd a germen from that moment or sometin its ur history keep the good shit to be proud of and acsept ur wrong, aint no one is getin over noting peopel dont come from water that u can just kill and move on u fucked up ma cultur ignorent basterds now dont tell me to move on aint no one movein on untell we get our justes
Ms. Oceania... You speak in slogans. Your generalizations are tragic-comic. I hope you realize that you forgot to mention all those events you refer to were broadcasted on Turkish TV's with a VERY critical tone.
Of course there isn't you half witted moron. Thats because Armenians never invaded and took your lands and butchered 1.5M Turks and forced everyone to change their Turkish names to Armenian so as they can survive.
Butchering? There were 1.3 M Armenians those days and 1,1 M of those hairy, good citizens of ottoman empire (not Turkey) are exiled.. Some died in their way out.. What were you expecting? Waiting for those who couldn't move anymore??? Who would have done that?? Your precious soviets didn't do that to us either.. They let die thousands of Turks on their way from crimea to here.. But we are not being a cry-baby because of history..
Most esimates place the Armenian population in Anatolia at the time at closer to two million. It also might be easier to beleive that they were simply being relocated if they were not being sent to the middle of the desert. Or if the entire adult male Armenian population of many villages wasn't seperated and shot prior to deportation.
Oh, and despite whatever pan-turkic ideology teaches, Crimean Tartars are not Turks.
YEah right there are actually no Turks, we all are armenians, greeks and that kinda shit, I gotta admit.. LOL!! They are called Tatars by the way, and mostly of kipchak-pechenek origin.. The retarded guy with wide imagination called "marco polo" claimed them to be tartars which came from the word "Tartarius" in the latin.. Inspiring from that demonic beings.. A good source to get excited in those times but this were hundreds of years ago so be rational..
Who cares where the word 'Tartar' comes from, it does not make Crimean Tartars 'Turks'. The only real relation the two have are linguistic origins, and it is doubtful a modern Turk could even understand Crimean, considering how long the two groups have been seperated. I suppose you will tell us that Mongolians are Turks and that China is fil a hotbed of 'anti-turkish' sentiment
First of all, the thing I'm talking about is, they are called "Tatars" in modern world.. Second is I've already mentioned about their heritage, they are successors of Khazars and Volgan Bulgars, who considered to be Turkic, mixed with, Avars, Pecheneks and Kipchaks(sometimes called Cumans).. The confusion about the word "Tatar" is that after 1100's all people from Central Asia, except Turkmens, called Tatar by Anatolian Turks.. So mongolians writen as Tatars by your historians too..
To most historians, original Tatars were a Mongolian people and all their people are massaccered by Genghis Khan because of his lust for vengeance.. His remainings (old women and kids)seperated to all central asian tribes.. Infact, no one knows what really happened to them, but before them, there used to be people called otuz-tatars and dokuz(doquz)-tatars in Gok-Turk ages and no historian ever argued about their ethnicity, they were Turkic..
Yes, I can understand Tatar language with little trouble though and few Turkic people(except Kyrgyz(their language is so similar to Tatars'))can in these days and it's much closer than Khazakh language to ours. About the Mongolians, culturaly and linguistically, they are as close to us as Georgians to Armenians. By the way it's good to know an Armenian who doesn't call us Mongolians(I assumed that you are an Armenian, if not it's my mistake)And please, next time have a decent research..
That still does not make Tartars 'Turks'. A 'Turk' is an Anatolian Muslim, specifically a resident of the nation of Turkey. The tribulations encountered by the Crimeans are Crimean tragedies, not Turkish tragedies, and claiming otherwise is symply an attempt to gander sympathy for something that Turkey did not actually undergo.
ANATOLIAN MUSLIM??? fucking lol.. You should wash your face and read what you write.. Kurds in Turkey are Turks but Armenians are not eh? What about Muslim Armenians or Atheist Turks??? You are full of shit kiddo.. There are about 900.000 Crimean Tatars in Turkey by the way and you should now that calling a Tatar "Tartar" is same as calling an African "Nigger".. It is old and insulting
'Turkey' is a region, and the primary cultural group that inhabits that region are 'Turks'. As a national identity, anyone who lives in the modern state is a Turk. As a cultual indentity, only those of the predominatley Muslim Altaic-speaking communitites that originate within Anatolia are 'Turks'. And nobody considers calling a Crimean Tartar a Crimean Tartar an insult. They dont have any other names, hell, even Wikipedia uses the term Tartar (see Crimean Tartar).
See "Tartar" as well, I did search for it and with no surprise, the only thing that I found related to an ethnic group was in "common misspellings". Your definition about Turk is awfully wrong.. Besides the ethnic definition, it refers to citizens of Turkey doesn't related with ethnical origin and it absolutely have NOTHING with religion.. About the common term, just search for "Turk" in.. yes, wikipedia
Too many nations tried to kill us all.. Heraclius(Ereğli in Turkish)in city of konya for example, shifted rulers many times(btween armenian and Turks), each time a happenned a massacre to all citizens.. it happend lots of time, but that WAS in the PAST.. get over with it
there would BE no Armenia. And so long u got people like hollymountainss(he/she post only comments from 1 side lmao)only that i can say is keep going like this
Look at the hard fact: as long as Turks feel threatened, there will be nationalism in Turkey, like it or not. The deplorable murder of Mr. Dink is the consequence of the entire Christian world ganging up on Turkey. The idiots felt they had to something and did the wrong thing. Admit genocide against the Turks, apologize, treat them as partners and nationalism will disappear. If Turks were even half as bad as Armenians pretend,
And I typed that after I read on the other video personal attacks, insults to my parents...although we clarified misunderstanding and the guy apologised afterwards...
People like you dont come ere and the only impression of Turks we get is those racsts one...How are we supposed to know the truth?
Y/day i got a feeling that u were offended, u made it clearand I am sorry...The lat thing I would want is to insult u...but Althouh I don't offend others but after getting insults on several videos its hard to refrain mysel...and u haven't even checked Azeris posts...
U know ur only Turk here who is not denying such things and shows empathy and compassion...the only thing we need from ordinary Turkish people...Others imm. deny and accuse us...On the positive note..i read some Turkish columnists who condemned others blaming Armeans in killing Dink...
i'll be mean but here it comes: internet is crowded with unemployed turks that only visit racist, pornographic sites. but that doesnt mean whole turkey consists of them. i said my friends that i'm writin on youtube, and invited them to write because fanatics organise and send url's to each other, my friends told me: 'do something useful with ur time. we went there and protested there that does show smth already.'
BUT Ani, i encounter racist armenians all the time, and it is getting harder for me to stay calm when i read their comments..
i mean i saw u , sometimes like, writing 'typical turk insultin etc'. when u write that, it does offend me, and to be even more honest, makes me suspicious like 'hmm what else could she be writin when she seems so anti-racist to me'. sorry!
"If you fail to exercise caution, many of your other dogs will also die," read the letter signed by the obscure Turkish Revenge Brigade (TIT). "We have enough explosives to send the 'Agos' building skywards."
i cant believe it.. i knew there were threats but i didnt know what they said. i know checked newspaper, they wrote it today. but i know that group, sure that i've heard their names before.. maybe, a kurdish building was bombed some months ago, and then their webpage said we did it etc. but i remember many believed that site was new, went online after the bombings, 'deep state's solution to he case etc. too many things happenin here, cant remember all....
A Turkish-Armenian newspaper whose prominent editor Hrant Dink was gunned down last week was placed under police protection on Thursday after reporting death threats from a shadowy ultranationalist group.
Employees of the bilingual "Agos" weekly said they received a letter late Wednesday that described Dink as an "enemy dog" and warned that anyone calling World War One-era massacres of Armenians in Ottoman Turkey a genocide will meet his fate.
yeap that is it, 'deep state'. well.. i must accept that is a better explanation then mine:) and elif safak, that is why i mentioned her. not the only reason though. the title of the novel in turkish is 'father and the bastard' i didnt know in the english translation the bastard loses the dad and belongs to istanbul;)
Is this what u were referring y/day? ;) another prominent Turkish novelist, Elif Shafak, was charged with the same offense, for having a character in her most recent novel, "The Bastard of Istanbul," declare, "I am the grandchild of genocide survivors who lost all their relatives at the hands of Turkish butchers in 1915, but I myself have been brainwashed to deny the genocide."
Dink himself had said that he was being threatened by elements of the "deep state," a term for a shadowy network inside the Turkish military, intelligence and political circles that is believed to control the direction of the state and to use clandestine methods to defend it against perceived threats.
U said about Armenian fanatics..I say they are not really dangerous...do u know that Turkey is considered 8 dangerous country because of nationalism...I wonder which ones are before it...btw...where do u live? were u born where ur now?
i know about that. extremisim is very common in turkey, for whatever it is about: starbucks opened some years ago and now there are 4-5 starbucks on the same street in istanbul. if something's done, it's to the extreme of it. if now people r sorry for dink, they'r sorry to the very extreme.i am serious.
born in istanbul, lived in 3 diffrent cities inTR, still living in Ist. but ancestors from (somewhere near dink's killer's hometown), NE of Turkey.
Furthermore, the news agency claimed that Kucuk was organizing nationalist circles in Azerbaijan and established a murder network against Armenians. The agency said it based this claim on information obtained in 2001 from Turan A., the nephew of Azerbaijan's then Interior Minister Siyavuz Mustafa . The news also accused Turkey's Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) of illegally training soldiers with Kucuk in Azerbaijan
something similar was on papers the 1st day of the murder. and with this picture the headline said 'it's you that kill..'. especially, public dont know what they are actually doing and this is like a long story of 10 years starting with 'Susurluk case' unresolved case about death of people claimed to be connected with 'deep state'-saying in tr, the unseen directors of state politics'-. its also a public case/request to make these connections 'transparent' to the tr. society.
In another photo, Kucuk was seen with Muzaffer Tekin, said to be the mastermind of both the Council of State and daily Cumhuriyet attacks, and Association of Lawyers' Union head Kemal Kerincsiz, a high-profile ultranationalist figure known for filing complaints against writers and journalists, including Dink.
Kucuk's name ,a notorious ex-general,entered into Dink's murder investigation when the late writer's lawyers told officials that Kucuk had threatened Dink.
In a photo taken two years ago Kucuk was seen with gunman Arslan at the Azerbaijan Congress held in Stockholm. After the bloody Council of State attack, Kucuk said he didn't knew Arslan.
I don't really blame you, you only know what you have been told but this is 21 century and you probably will be visiting other countries as well...After the genocide Armenians are everywhere and you wll definitely come across many of them as well as many Europeans who know the truth...If you don't posses true knowledge about the events of 1915 you will be in a real trouble...Turkey and Europe, USA...are very different...
They want to compare ASALA with nationalist murders flourishing in their country...ASALA members's families were butchered during the genocide, entire nation was tried to be eradicated, they wanted the downfall of the government which committed the Genocide and diplomats were not only representetives of that government but rigorous denials of the Genocide...
do not forget that turkish public thinks their parents were killed by armenians before 1915, there are public cemeteries especially in erzurum, and i'm sure you see in youtube 'turkish genocide by armenian' video posts. another point, from ur explanation my understanding is: asala getting 'revenge' for what happened to them in the past. still not a nice arguement. i was comparing the revenge and the violence, killings not the ideologies.
turks clame they r so human and modern and wane join EU and would never comit a crim such as genocide yet99% of the turkish youth on this site have 1Type of mentality wich is "death to armenians fuck them we will kill u erase u finish u..." so im guesing this youngstrs have to be educated somewer to have such mentality but wer? at home? if so then who thought there parents? once u trais backwords ull end up wit the schools and government. intresting huh?
or maybe even millitary. armenian genocide or 1915 events are not thought at schools, and nor is 'there is no genocide' thought at schools. only a year ago they put it in textbooks. turkish people's anger towards armenians is not, at least, directly created by goverment. it's mostly the web-like organisation of nationalist parties and illegal organisations. well you can also say conspiracies like they are in fact tools of gvmt.
i also read fanatic armenian people? where are they educated? just to be clear: i'm not writing these as if we're in a competition, and that i'm trying to make the score even. i am asking out of curiosity.
also from your paragraph there, so you're saying 99% in youtube is such&such and so turks are 'not human'?
well sins the genocide we have had armenians living in larg amount out of armenia so in that case i can say armenians r educated in the countrys they live in first but wat i mean by were r turks educated wen a country dose not alow u to talk about its bad days or wrongs then then nomather how high of a educational system it can have nomather how good of universitis it can have it can never teach the subject wit out twisting turkishnes to a wanderful angle like superbeing
i realized i didnt reply to this;turkish education do not teach the superbeing of turkishness, but if u still looking for something: teachs the superbeing of Ataturk-which actually became this extreme after the coup in 1980, to neutralize political activism. yet it does teach to be proud, but i would suspect which nation state doesnt? it needs that false selfe confidence to sustain its livelihood. in a way all nation states stupidfy its citizens.
Diaspora was accusing him to be an agent for Turkey. The situation is not Hrant, they find a "thing" to hit Turkey.Their food is to hate Turkey, they are nourished by Hrant's dead corpse. They are nauseating.
it's true that this can easily be used and is being used in the arguement 'against' turkey, but i think if they really hated turkey, arm. vice foreign minister or someone like that wouldnt have come to the funeral today. i read in english armenian pages about some nationalist fanatic voices but i also read the Turkish version of it in Milliyet's reader comment's page today..
Diaspora is so jubilant of Hrant's being murdered to spread their disgusting propagadas and lies. They don't care about Hrant, they only care to be puppet for Turk-haters.
If you cannot attend Hrant Dink's funeral today (23/1/07) then you may drop a few lines expressing your condolences at the website of Istanbul Armenians (bolsohays dot com), the site is up again.
Ulu...it's a new kind of insult lol...strings in unknown hands...I dont have strings..only wings )We have already discussed ASALA...could u take time reading all? lol
Why did you jump like bass onto this post of mine Ms Oceania? Why do you pretend to be a puppet with strings/wings or whatever? Or are you one of them? Strange, b/c I had called you just "a predator opportunist." So you prefer being a puppet. As you wish. Good luck with that!
There is no use in arguing with the puppets whose strings furl in unknown hands. Arguing with someone having too hard a time in confessing about the barbaric acts of terror perpetrated by ASALA for 12 years gives him only satisfaction, for he is no more different than the decision makers behind Hirant Dink's murder.
Well...lol..before UK I used to live several years in Moscow...of course travelling back home every summer...
I don't really remebber what else aside from genocide was told about Turkey but now my folks back home told me there were several nice programmes about Turkey..just before Hrant Dink's death...
I think in general in the whole world codex of younger kds participation in murders should be changed...They take someones life but get away with murder...literally...
to start with i am really okay with the current penalty system, it helps no one, it wouldnt deter fanatics or sick people and it doesnt protect the innocent, it should be based more on working on people's psychology etc. I'm afraid when this boy goes out of jail, he'll be celebrated just outside the exit by some fanatics.. hope it wont be similar to Abdi Ipekci's-tr journalist- murderer and Pope's almost murderer M.A.Agca.
and of course there isnt any doubt that he is a jubiour member in the organisation...they are using fanatic kids coz they will not get as many years of prison as elder ones...
ok...I am sorry I can't answer ur qst abt Armenian TV as I am based in the UK...but as I moved here a couple of years ago I consider myself both Armenian from Armenia and armenia Diaspora coz I participate in many things here...
Doesn't it seem a bit fabricated to u? How happened that they caught the killer now so soon but failed to catch the same "kid" after other bombings? Dont u think they try to connect accidents to draw attention away from the real case...Hrant Dinks recognition of Genocide...
i think that boy was used by an organisation of some kind, and i believe he's the one that shot him but he cant be alone in this. news say it was the first time he came to istanbul, and he had new shoes and money. his father called on him when he saw him on tv, news, his pictures were everywhere for the last days.
ASALA tried to raise awareness about Genocide, Turkish teenager killed Hrant Dink trying to silence that awareness...I don't know how u can make comparison between them...Btw...what awareness was the killer trying to raise by bombing MacDonalds?
So I will just try to explain you their case okay, dont think that i am supporting them, or feel close to their ideas or something. Bombing mcdonalds, israel and us related corporations all have the same cause according to them. they are the imperialist forces, lying to whole world, degrading muslims, colonising tukey etc. mcdonalds bombing also because they saw it was full in Ramadan-month of fasting-, since these guys are freaks in everything they think they did it for their muslim faith.
so just as asala seems rightful to you, because it had a right cause, these 'muslims' who say that they kill people after friday praying, do it for their 'righful' belief, ideology etc. they think that hrant dink was a traitor, and now people talk about it according to them.
OceanDreamForMe lets not even go far i mean wasnt it les then a year ago were turky hijakd the airlins so pop wouldnt come to turky i mean we have this kind of actions and they r comin up wit ASALA that has noting to do wit the subject its a lak of education this is how the goveernment brainwashes them
I will repeat..I said I dont condone that...meaning I don't support the idea...but trying to explain how they saw it those days..Dont forget Turkey was much more powerful those days while about existance of Armenian Republic nobody even had a clue...they tried to rase awarness by all other means with no positive result...But of course killing s always wrong...
Aslska...could I ask you to play in another place? Believe me your hysterical screaming everywhere, calling names, insulting, twisting the facts don't really help your nation...Google a little about Hrant Dink, him being put on a trial because of recognising the Genocide, Armenian Diaspora's close connection with him, full support,etc...then come back to have a proper conversation...
no but really that was how it was portrayed in mainstream newspapers when he was first on trial, that armenian state did not approve him because he was advising them to empty their posionous hatred from their veins and living with turks is a cure for that hatred etc. I know he was talking about 1915 as genocide and so are many turkish man. I dont know, not much is portrayed about Armenia in Turkish tv's. how is it in armenian tvs?
ASALA was founded to rise awareness of Forgotten Armenian Genocide...Although I dont condone but t those times it was the only way to make the world ask WHY Turkish diplomats get killed...only to hear the answer...because of the GENOCIDE committed by Ottoman Turks! You always fail to mention that ASALA members were killed by Turks and new union wasn't founded....coz mission was accomplished, awareness raised...
shall i believe that you are saying killings are legitimate because it caused awareness? This is a very dangerous arguement, think about it the organisation behind Dink and several other democratic figures in TR have the same reasoning killing to raise awareness. This is unacceptable, for whatever cause it is. If it's by the Asala, PKK or street gangs or Turkish or US millitary, or Turks killing ASALA members it's the same primitive idea behind it.
i wasnt very clear, what i meant was this: the man that killed Dink is tied with a group of people that bombed Mcdonalds in city of Trabzon and caused 6 Turkish people's death. They also do this for awareness. This is the danger that comes together with such an arguement. Because once you legitimize one, you can easily see that with different discourses, and ideologies they use the same justification. i mean so is el kaide or hizbullah, killing to raise awareness.
ASALA believed that the only way of liberating Armenian territory was through the use of violence, and issued public announcements to this effect. According to their programme, ASALA was to support all those who rejected the domination of the ruling classes and who were willing to work towards the foundation and strengthening of coalitions within the international revolutionary movement. Violence and terror formed an essential element in this programme.
all people, armenian and mostly turks, gathering on the front of the AGOS newspaper shouted' "we r all armenians we are all hrant dink" ..that was the real feelings and reaction of Turkey to the assassin.." i dont think any armenian guy washbrained with war and genocide tales living abroad understand the meaning of it..
armenians should stop feeding their kids and people racist and hatred feeelings referring to the last century's events
Armenian diaspora hated him! But now Armenian diaspora's using his dying for enmity of Turkey!!! If he see these days, he's sad.. He loved his country!!! He's from Turkey!!! He was my countryman!!! Let see Armenian diaspora's games.. Armenian diaspora's so-called sad..
asliska he loved his country becouse that country was once ours the armenians lands then turks took it away and he loved his country becouse he was never goin to abandon it so another turk would take over his space but sadly thay took that away from him too
Armenians were in Ottoman Empire and they're perfect people for Ottoman Empire.. They're successful, creative people and there was a big peace in Ottoman Empire..Armenians were living Ottoman Empire as other nations.. Anatolia has never been belonging to only Armenians.. Most nations shared Anatolia and lived in peace long time in Ottoman Empire..
Now Hrant Dink's country is Turkey! He's Turkish citizen.. Please no polemic! We don't need arguments anymore..
'turks took it away' is not the best expression of it, dont u think, mersorider?
dink also says in an interview on tv, i love this land, and turkey, and turkishness otherwise i would leave. i am reacting because from the way you are saying, it's as if Dink did not leave because he did not want that space of him to be 'occupied' by a turk.
Ok, I admit you are rght...Any solution? Because I am sorry but I can't imagine myself getting involved into deep conversation with Turks about weather, etc only to find out that they are vehemently denying the genocide...
you realize that i am turkish and i havent said anything like 'genocide is a fact' so far? you have communicated with me? well i am not denying anything either, and i wouldnt want to offend you since i only want to learn about the story from many sides. turks today have done nothing against you, only with dialogue we can come to a compromise. well i am telling u this but even i cant stand speaking with some turkish people. but if nobody does then they become murderers or so i suppose.
all i know is that, when the prime minister says that its an innocent man who died and all, that is bullsh*t, WHEN UR IN TURKEY, YOU TALK ABOUT ARMENIANS OR ARMENIAN GENOCIDE, THEY KILL YOU OR THEY OUT U IN PRISON. THATS NOT NORMAL CIVILISATION. THere should be FREEDOM OF SPEECH.
that is true, that is not democracy if that is what you mean by 'normal civilization'. my turkish professors teach about armenian genocide at my univ and they are not in prison nor killed. but i'm sure they are also afraid and being threatened. unfortunately turkish people's knowledge of their history is limited to formal history that was written in 1923 to justify the new republic.
Do u blame them? After what we experienced? I don't have hate but don't fell like talking to a Turk who is proud of his "glorius" history which is built on our blood.... We want you to recognise the genocide...How do u think we feel?
1915 is not the only thing that happened in Turkish history, as it is not in Armenian history. It's a dark memory for Turks but that doesn't mean that we can't be proud of our pasts. Being proud of past does not mean you are proud of killing people.
And of course i blame them! It is the same as i blame ignorant Turkish people that know nothing of history and just write stupid aggressive comments on Youtube and think Dink belittled Turks even though they read none of his articles. That is called racism. It is their ignorance if they treat me this way when they here about my origin. And I'm definitely not blaming myself on this, since I am not acting like a stupid ignorant nationalist.
ur right, i agree with u, ive got nothin against the people but its the government who what i see is brainwashin them, anyways soon, something is going to happen. THATS WHAT I THINK BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEMS
he was my brother five years older than i he was my brother twenty-three years old the day he died.freedom writer they cursed my brother to his face go home outsider this town's gonna be your buryin' place he was singin' on his knees an angry mob trailed along
they shot my brother dead because he hated what was wrong.he was my brother tears can't bring him back to me he was my brother and he died so his brothers could be free.. simon and garfunkel
Burraakk..I am sorry but Armenian diapora loved him too much, we are no way against Turks and understand his love towards his country...He insisted he was a Turkish citizen but Armenian. He was a great support for Armenia and Armenian diaspora, very honourable man ...diaspora is absolutely distraught...Armenian diaspora doesn't have a hate towards Turkey but demand to recognise your ancestors crimes against humanity...
are you sure armenia doesn't have rage and hatred towards Turks and Turkey, Armenian people refuse to talk to me when I meet them in Europe or US. I feel terrible.
armenian diaspora hated him because he loved his country..and he defended to live in peace with turkish people .. he never supported armenian diaspor's hate and racist campaigns..on the coıntrary he said that members of diaspora kliving abroad dont know anything about turks and the were prejudice..so diaspora never liked him
He hate all kind of fascism! Turkish fascism, Armenian fascism.. It doesn't matter.. Armenian diaspora didn't love him.. Turkish fascism didn't love him.. Cause he wants Turkish and Armenian people to be friends.. But fascism doesn't want to see this friendship.. fascism will be died one sunny day.. Hrant Dink's in our hearts..

Bismarcker 4 years ago
zirowerdy,my intention was not to sound aggressive atall.
Bismarcker 4 years ago
Next time you come to Turkey you should check Alanya, on the southern coast of Turkey and speak to some of the Germans who settled there. About you being offended by being called a "gavur"... Well, you are right. However, it is impossible for me to explain to you that adjective is older than the USA itself, and it's NOT a derogatory word. We also call all black skinned people "zenci", but that's also different than calling them "niggers".
muaddib83 4 years ago
They are just the Turkish words to describe a non-muslim and a black person respectively. However, if somebody feels offended by it, it shouldn't be used I guess. Well we have a long way for learning to be "politically correct". For the time being, just take my word as to whoever told you that might not have meant it in a negative way, but just as a way to "define" you, since you are different than him. Peace out
muaddib83 4 years ago

I am, really- hoping that u're not as conceited and aggresive as ur msgs indicate.
zirowerdy 4 years ago
I would want to ask what's wrong with you guys(two nations)as a person if I havent spent afew years on duty in turkey but those 2 years thought me what a master liers the Turks are in politics.Since US sees Turkey as a toy country to take advantage of it's military and strategic location,we have been tolarent for Turkey for all these years but they never will stop seeing nonmuslims as Gavur.

Get on with that you half witted donkey.
Andranick 5 years ago
But we are not being a cry-baby because of history..
bzzrtsacced 5 years ago
Most esimates place the Armenian population in Anatolia at the time at closer to two million. It also might be easier to beleive that they were simply being relocated if they were not being sent to the middle of the desert. Or if the entire adult male Armenian population of many villages wasn't seperated and shot prior to deportation.
Oh, and despite whatever pan-turkic ideology teaches, Crimean Tartars are not Turks.
TheMyotis 4 years ago
YEah right there are actually no Turks, we all are armenians, greeks and that kinda shit, I gotta admit.. LOL!! They are called Tatars by the way, and mostly of kipchak-pechenek origin.. The retarded guy with wide imagination called "marco polo" claimed them to be tartars which came from the word "Tartarius" in the latin.. Inspiring from that demonic beings.. A good source to get excited in those times but this were hundreds of years ago so be rational..
bzzrtsacced 4 years ago
What on earth are you talking about?
Who cares where the word 'Tartar' comes from, it does not make Crimean Tartars 'Turks'. The only real relation the two have are linguistic origins, and it is doubtful a modern Turk could even understand Crimean, considering how long the two groups have been seperated. I suppose you will tell us that Mongolians are Turks and that China is fil a hotbed of 'anti-turkish' sentiment
TheMyotis 4 years ago
First of all, the thing I'm talking about is, they are called "Tatars" in modern world.. Second is I've already mentioned about their heritage, they are successors of Khazars and Volgan Bulgars, who considered to be Turkic, mixed with, Avars, Pecheneks and Kipchaks(sometimes called Cumans).. The confusion about the word "Tatar" is that after 1100's all people from Central Asia, except Turkmens, called Tatar by Anatolian Turks.. So mongolians writen as Tatars by your historians too..
bzzrtsacced 4 years ago
To most historians, original Tatars were a Mongolian people and all their people are massaccered by Genghis Khan because of his lust for vengeance.. His remainings (old women and kids)seperated to all central asian tribes.. Infact, no one knows what really happened to them, but before them, there used to be people called otuz-tatars and dokuz(doquz)-tatars in Gok-Turk ages and no historian ever argued about their ethnicity, they were Turkic..
bzzrtsacced 4 years ago
Yes, I can understand Tatar language with little trouble though and few Turkic people(except Kyrgyz(their language is so similar to Tatars'))can in these days and it's much closer than Khazakh language to ours. About the Mongolians, culturaly and linguistically, they are as close to us as Georgians to Armenians. By the way it's good to know an Armenian who doesn't call us Mongolians(I assumed that you are an Armenian, if not it's my mistake)And please, next time have a decent research..
bzzrtsacced 4 years ago
That still does not make Tartars 'Turks'. A 'Turk' is an Anatolian Muslim, specifically a resident of the nation of Turkey. The tribulations encountered by the Crimeans are Crimean tragedies, not Turkish tragedies, and claiming otherwise is symply an attempt to gander sympathy for something that Turkey did not actually undergo.
TheMyotis 4 years ago
ANATOLIAN MUSLIM??? fucking lol.. You should wash your face and read what you write.. Kurds in Turkey are Turks but Armenians are not eh? What about Muslim Armenians or Atheist Turks??? You are full of shit kiddo.. There are about 900.000 Crimean Tatars in Turkey by the way and you should now that calling a Tatar "Tartar" is same as calling an African "Nigger".. It is old and insulting
bzzrtsacced 4 years ago
'Turkey' is a region, and the primary cultural group that inhabits that region are 'Turks'. As a national identity, anyone who lives in the modern state is a Turk. As a cultual indentity, only those of the predominatley Muslim Altaic-speaking communitites that originate within Anatolia are 'Turks'. And nobody considers calling a Crimean Tartar a Crimean Tartar an insult. They dont have any other names, hell, even Wikipedia uses the term Tartar (see Crimean Tartar).
TheMyotis 4 years ago
See "Tartar" as well, I did search for it and with no surprise, the only thing that I found related to an ethnic group was in "common misspellings". Your definition about Turk is awfully wrong.. Besides the ethnic definition, it refers to citizens of Turkey doesn't related with ethnical origin and it absolutely have NOTHING with religion.. About the common term, just search for "Turk" in.. yes, wikipedia

If Turks were even half as bad as Armenians pretend,

zirowerdy 5 years ago
Have u heard this?
A Turkish-Armenian newspaper whose prominent editor Hrant Dink was gunned down last week was placed under police protection on Thursday after reporting death threats from a shadowy ultranationalist group.
Employees of the bilingual "Agos" weekly said they received a letter late Wednesday that described Dink as an "enemy dog" and warned that anyone calling World War One-era massacres of Armenians in Ottoman Turkey a genocide will meet his fate.

yeap that is it, 'deep state'. well.. i must accept that is a better explanation then mine:) and elif safak, that is why i mentioned her. not the only reason though. the title of the novel in turkish is 'father and the bastard' i didnt know in the english translation the bastard loses the dad and belongs to istanbul;)
zirowerdy 5 years ago
Ziro...
OceanDreamForMe 5 years ago
Dink himself had said that he was being threatened by elements of the "deep state," a term for a shadowy network inside the Turkish military, intelligence and political circles that is believed to control the direction of the state and to use clandestine methods to defend it against perceived threats.

OceanDreamForMe 5 years ago
something similar was on papers the 1st day of the murder. and with this picture the headline said 'it's you that kill..'. especially, public dont know what they are actually doing and this is like a long story of 10 years starting with 'Susurluk case' unresolved case about death of people claimed to be connected with 'deep state'-saying in tr, the unseen directors of state politics'-. its also a public case/request to make these connections 'transparent' to the tr. society.
zirowerdy 5 years ago
In another photo, Kucuk was seen with Muzaffer Tekin, said to be the mastermind of both the Council of State and daily Cumhuriyet attacks, and Association of Lawyers' Union head Kemal Kerincsiz, a high-profile ultranationalist figure known for filing complaints against writers and journalists, including Dink.
OceanDreamForMe 5 years ago
What do u think of this?
Kucuk's name ,a notorious ex-general,entered into Dink's murder investigation when the late writer's lawyers told officials that Kucuk had threatened Dink.
In a photo taken two years ago Kucuk was seen with gunman Arslan at the Azerbaijan Congress held in Stockholm. After the bloody Council of State attack, Kucuk said he didn't knew Arslan.

OceanDreamForMe 5 years ago
do not forget that turkish public thinks their parents were killed by armenians before 1915, there are public cemeteries especially in erzurum, and i'm sure you see in youtube 'turkish genocide by armenian' video posts. another point, from ur explanation my understanding is: asala getting 'revenge' for what happened to them in the past. still not a nice arguement. i was comparing the revenge and the violence, killings not the ideologies.
zirowerdy 5 years ago
turks clame they r so human and modern and wane join EU and would never comit a crim such as genocide yet99% of the turkish youth on this site have 1Type of mentality wich is "death to armenians fuck them we will kill u erase u finish u..." so im guesing this youngstrs have to be educated somewer to have such mentality but wer? at home? if so then who thought there parents? once u trais backwords ull end up wit the schools and government. intresting huh?
mersorider818 5 years ago
or maybe even millitary. armenian genocide or 1915 events are not thought at schools, and nor is 'there is no genocide' thought at schools. only a year ago they put it in textbooks. turkish people's anger towards armenians is not, at least, directly created by goverment. it's mostly the web-like organisation of nationalist parties and illegal organisations. well you can also say conspiracies like they are in fact tools of gvmt.
zirowerdy 5 years ago
i also read fanatic armenian people? where are they educated? just to be clear: i'm not writing these as if we're in a competition, and that i'm trying to make the score even. i am asking out of curiosity.
also from your paragraph there, so you're saying 99% in youtube is such&such and so turks are 'not human'?
your words are so easy to manipulate:P
zirowerdy 5 years ago
well sins the genocide we have had armenians living in larg amount out of armenia so in that case i can say armenians r educated in the countrys they live in first but wat i mean by were r turks educated wen a country dose not alow u to talk about its bad days or wrongs then then nomather how high of a educational system it can have nomather how good of universitis it can have it can never teach the subject wit out twisting turkishnes to a wanderful angle like superbeing
mersorider818 5 years ago
i realized i didnt reply to this;turkish education do not teach the superbeing of turkishness, but if u still looking for something: teachs the superbeing of Ataturk-which actually became this extreme after the coup in 1980, to neutralize political activism. yet it does teach to be proud, but i would suspect which nation state doesnt? it needs that false selfe confidence to sustain its livelihood. in a way all nation states stupidfy its citizens.

Winston Churchill once called it a holocaust. What a paradox that just
as Europe starts to consider outlawing Holocaust denial, Turkey
outlaws holocaust admittance. Hitler famously reckoned he would get
away with his Final Solution after studying Turkey's first
solution. 'Who,' he asked 'remembers the Armenians?' The torchlit
procession of all nationalities weaving tearfully through Istanbul
suggests that, finally, the entire world remembers.

ASALA tried to raise awareness about Genocide, Turkish teenager killed Hrant Dink trying to silence that awareness...I don't know how u can make comparison between them...Btw...what awareness was the killer trying to raise by bombing MacDonalds?
OceanDreamForMe 5 years ago
So I will just try to explain you their case okay, dont think that i am supporting them, or feel close to their ideas or something. Bombing mcdonalds, israel and us related corporations all have the same cause according to them. they are the imperialist forces, lying to whole world, degrading muslims, colonising tukey etc. mcdonalds bombing also because they saw it was full in Ramadan-month of fasting-, since these guys are freaks in everything they think they did it for their muslim faith.
zirowerdy 5 years ago
so just as asala seems rightful to you, because it had a right cause, these 'muslims' who say that they kill people after friday praying, do it for their 'righful' belief, ideology etc. they think that hrant dink was a traitor, and now people talk about it according to them.

no but really that was how it was portrayed in mainstream newspapers when he was first on trial, that armenian state did not approve him because he was advising them to empty their posionous hatred from their veins and living with turks is a cure for that hatred etc.

OceanDreamForMe 5 years ago
shall i believe that you are saying killings are legitimate because it caused awareness? This is a very dangerous arguement, think about it the organisation behind Dink and several other democratic figures in TR have the same reasoning killing to raise awareness. This is unacceptable, for whatever cause it is. If it's by the Asala, PKK or street gangs or Turkish or US millitary, or Turks killing ASALA members it's the same primitive idea behind it.
zirowerdy 5 years ago
i wasnt very clear, what i meant was this: the man that killed Dink is tied with a group of people that bombed Mcdonalds in city of Trabzon and caused 6 Turkish people's death.

We don't need arguments anymore..
asliska 5 years ago
'turks took it away' is not the best expression of it, dont u think, mersorider?
dink also says in an interview on tv, i love this land, and turkey, and turkishness otherwise i would leave. i am reacting because from the way you are saying, it's as if Dink did not leave because he did not want that space of him to be 'occupied' by a turk.
zirowerdy 5 years ago
Ok, I admit you are rght...Any solution? Because I am sorry but I can't imagine myself getting involved into deep conversation with Turks about weather, etc only to find out that they are vehemently denying the genocide...
OceanDreamForMe 5 years ago
you realize that i am turkish and i havent said anything like 'genocide is a fact' so far? you have communicated with me? well i am not denying anything either, and i wouldnt want to offend you since i only want to learn about the story from many sides. turks today have done nothing against you, only with dialogue we can come to a compromise. well i am telling u this but even i cant stand speaking with some turkish people. but if nobody does then they become murderers or so i suppose.

Words just cant describe it...
Tears in my eyes,
guilty feeling deep inside...
Sadness running through my body...
They are trying to take my country hostage,
do i have the courage to stand up,
do we have the courage????
Hrant had it in him. Tried his best for his country...
Can we be as courageous as he is?
I dont know :(

all i know is that, when the prime minister says that its an innocent man who died and all, that is bullsh*t, WHEN UR IN TURKEY, YOU TALK ABOUT ARMENIANS OR ARMENIAN GENOCIDE, THEY KILL YOU OR THEY OUT U IN PRISON. THATS NOT NORMAL CIVILISATION. THere should be FREEDOM OF SPEECH.
anto1234 5 years ago
that is true, that is not democracy if that is what you mean by 'normal civilization'. my turkish professors teach about armenian genocide at my univ and they are not in prison nor killed. but i'm sure they are also afraid and being threatened. unfortunately turkish people's knowledge of their history is limited to formal history that was written in 1923 to justify the new republic.
zirowerdy 5 years ago
Do u blame them? After what we experienced? I don't have hate but don't fell like talking to a Turk who is proud of his "glorius" history which is built on our blood.... We want you to recognise the genocide...How do u think we feel?
OceanDreamForMe 5 years ago
1915 is not the only thing that happened in Turkish history, as it is not in Armenian history. It's a dark memory for Turks but that doesn't mean that we can't be proud of our pasts. Being proud of past does not mean you are proud of killing people.
zirowerdy 5 years ago

OceanDreamForMe 5 years ago
are you sure armenia doesn't have rage and hatred towards Turks and Turkey, Armenian people refuse to talk to me when I meet them in Europe or US.

Ross Vartian, executive director of USAPAC, said, "Turkish government
denial of the Armenian Genocide and prosecution of those who dare
speak the truth breeds an environment of extreme intolerance. The
government is ultimately responsible for this murder--this literal
killing of truth."
