  • Murukami should get royalties for this recording, it seems 8)

  • GOD FUCKING DAMMIT MURAKAMI, Y U HAVE AWESOME TASTE IN MUSIC?

  • the feuermann, rubinstein and heifetx rendition is on spotify! a bit scruffy, but really good.

  • Same here, Murakami has brought me here. I am about to finish Kafka on the shore, great book n great piece by Beethoven.

  • this is a great version

    is beautiful

y also read Kafka on the Shore

  • 杜普蕾!!!!!!

  • Du Pré was a superb woman.

    So pretty.

  • Absolutely sublime - these are the masters.

  • i also found it through Kafka on the Shore. Nice read and nice piece.

  • and how Murakami Haruki described this piece was an interesting part in this novel~

  • Hahaha.

    So do I.

I'm reading right now that novel from Haruki Murakami but he referred to Rubinstein, Heifetz, Feurmann and, unfortunelly, we can't find that version in Youtube.

  • @wallsar heeey, me too! ^^ But coincidentially I had listened to this piece before, from a CD my dad owns, and when I looked for it, I was like: oh, duh. I'm loving that book. I've been reading like a hundred pages a day.

  • Found out about Archduke from Kafka on the Shore.. great book, and even though I could no longer find the Feuermann, Rubinstein, Heifetz rendition, this is still a really nice interpretation. Thanks. I like Barenboim.

  • @sweetdreamspantoponr You can the Feuermann, Rubinstein, Heifeitz rendition on Spofity.

  • Thanks!

  • @sweetdreamspantoponr Me too :)

  • @sweetdreamspantoponr same here, I read KotS in 2005 when I was attending the Frankfurt Book Fair. That book actually sparked my interest in classical music, I used to find them very hard to get into. Murakami inserts some interesting jazz music suggestions in his books too but I think it'll still be a while before I can learn to understand and appreciate jazz.

  • Thanks so much..anything du Pres performed in was remarkable...enjoyed this immensely and plan to return to finish listening
