Perhaps the most subtle and yet impressive use of 3D in the movie was the scene in which Coraline opens her window and looks out at the garden of her new house - the garden truly appears to be away in the distance and Coraline and the window appear to be really near.

Aww, it's okay. I totally understand. If my mother had been there when my sister and I went to see the movie, we would've had to leave, too. But... She let us see the movie by ourselves. At that part with Ms Forcible, I was the only person in the theater laughing hysterically. Everybody else just kind of gasped and sat there with their mouths hanging open, lol.

This is an UH-MAZING movie.

The only thing I had trouble with was that the Wybie character seemed like he wasn't really needed. Don't get me wrong I LOVED Wybie...I just think that for some reason he made Coraline a little less clever than she is in the book. Still a great movie!

The 3D for this movie was so great, because it kind of made you feel how Coraline felt during those moments. Like when the birds kind of flew onto the screen, you think, "whoah, that's so cool!"

But when that scary moment makes Coraline jump, you jump too. xD They didn't overdo the 3D, which was good. Also, i'm glad they didn't have those obnoxious red and blue lenses for the 3D. Those are so friggin annoying. :3

It was pretty cool when I went to see it, too. I heard all the kids around me say the strangest things, like "I can feel you, Mommy! I can feel you!" and "I'm not scared of anything!", which just reaffirmed to me how wonderfully strange this story is.

I also loved the bit at the end where they showed the animation of the mice with the rigging before they comped it out. Very cool.

It's scary, but it's a good kind of scary. A more natural kind of scary than just things jumping out and going "BOO!", it's the sort of scariness where you never know what's coming.

While I do think the movie will be alright and what not, I seriously doubt it will be like Pan's Labyrinth as the staff mentioned.

That movie was BEYOND creepy and downright an extremely gory story that just "happened" to take a twist on fairy tales with a female lead.

The way these puppets are constructed is that their face is composed of two halves: the top half for the eyebrows and the bottom half for the mouth. That line is the seam between the two halves, and it's erased later.

Probably not; digital 3D is hard to do on DVD. They'll probably do it with regular two-coloured cardboard glasses 3D when it comes out on DVD. That's what they did with other DVD releases of 3D movies like Jounrey to the Center of the Earth and the Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus concert movie.
