Wrong. A comparison of Motorhead and CoF can't work here. Cradle of Filth does not fit into the black metal genre. You'd have to look for stuff like Mayhem, Gorgoroth, Immortal, Dimmu Borgir for that. Cradle of Filth has a few elements of black metal in it (like the asthetics), but it is more close to gothic metal. Therefore, when Dani says that he'd rather not put his band into a specific category, he's doing the right choice. Extreme metal englobes all these genres, and it works.
