  • FANTASTIC!!!!

  • What robot, not artist!

  • @musiclovermz ???? ROBOT??? You must be jealous!!

  • Lola:

    Bravo.. Bravo

Your Work is Art ~ Inspiring & Beautiful

    ~Anastasia Lee~

  • dizzy

  • I bet this was one of the (fewer) compositions where Chopin was measurably envious of Liszt and maybe thought to himself: "you son of uh Hungarian person - you took the notes right outta my head!"

  • Wow.

  • You have done well. Now play the 12 Grand Etudes version. *trollface*

  • Huh! Anybody can play that!!! hahahahahahah!!! my god, wat do u eat for beakfast?

  • Fire the piano tuner. This is a embarrassing to the art.

  • @Gracesboyfriend

I was just thinking the same! One can only imagine how much more moving and powerful this would sound if the waves met and resonance happened. That's not a luxury. It's a necessity.

  • @Gracesboyfriend It is terrible to be playing an out of tune piano. It really grates the nerves. It also means you lose out on the quality of the performance.

  • Awesome technique!

  • che pagliaccia

  • my god you're amazing! true inspiration. <3

  • That's an unusual technique at 3:25.

  • <3

  • You're my angel. Your guy will be luckiest son of a bitch alive.

  • Carnegie Hall is rhe RIGHT place to you.

YT would must live to everyone that loves music in this planet.

Bravo Loka ! Yan Ayrton, compossrt.

  • i think i love you

  • It's hard to find someone who not only has such technical skill, but also the ability to speak to people through the piano. I'm officially a die hard fan now. Nobody else can compare.

  • unbelievably awesome! you are fabulous lola

  • lovely pair of...hands! even in black and white she's sexy!

  • I LOVE how she plays the piano with her mind and body and not just her hands!!

  • OMFG!!!

  • This is SO awesome; almost put me in tears. So expressive...it's so nice to hear a musician who can speak the language of music....one of the most difficult languages in the world to learn....and impossible to master? :)

  • her kids will probably be sexy musicians too :D

  • Абсолютно красивая интерпретация Лола! Большое спасибо. You are a small car with a big engine.

  • she plays very well. it sounds clean and not rushed.

  • HOLY SHIT

    LOOK AT HER GOOOO

  • She just raped the piano!

  • Wow! What an awesome video!

  • I think it's about 2:00 where Miss Astanova stops just playing and decides to make this piano her bitch.

  • @ERICWAGNERSLUCID You are one creepy motherfucker

  • @BlazeKenny

I disagree. With LL, if you close your eyes, there's less in the music than what his movements suggest. But Lola's passion is not fake; it's a little too strong, only because she is outrageously musical. Her Liszt is virtuosic without being about virtuosity; every line is made to sing, every sound is incredibly thought out, everything is infused with purpose and passion. And the fact that she's an incredible composer herself makes me believe that she truly is on fire playing this.

  • I find this video very hard to focus on the music.

  • hot

  • when I first heard of this girl, I thought she'd suck at the piano, because she's selling herself with her looks. But she's AMAZING!!! I looooove this version. she's a reeeally good pianist.

  • This piece was made to never be played perfectly but she did O.O

  • Lols I only accept nonsense moves from Glenn Gould

  • Great!

  • I like the crazy expressiveness. Especially since none of the commenters actually know how it feels to play this piece to perfection.

  • WOOOOWWWWW

  • Wow!!!

  • Love you Lola! Keep on keeping on!

  • Wonderful!!

  • 3:17 to 3:27 - Notice that the stool is slightly moving away from Lola. It was scared that it was gonna get a beat down from her after she gets done banging the piano, so it tried to run away! lol!!

  • Comment removed

  • piano, meet this girl, she's gonna kick your a**, but it's not gonna hurt and it's gonna sound freakin' awesome!!!

  • Ridiculously seksy, Lola!

  • are you playing in a piano store?

  • The ONLY criticism I have of this video is that 360p is the highest resolution...;)

  • @RustyRazor2010 hahahahahaha

  • Excellent job! Liszt criticized his students for playing too similarly so having a unique style while not compromising the music is important. You'd make Liszt proud!

  • HOT!

  • i was waiting for her to have a seizure or something. i've never seen someone beat up a piano before..

  • Comment removed

  • Looks like I have a new favorite pianist..

  • the other two Steinies in the background can only look on with envy....seriously this is very nice playing, wonderfu; contrasts in character/color among the note storms.

  • 1:56 scariest thing ive ever heard, felt like i was in a horror movie haha

  • Pieces of Liszt deserved to be played by pianists that have those long fingers so those octaves and tenths can be easily played.

  • Comment removed

  • I like how she's so good but isn't wearing any dressy clothes like most concert pianist, yay for casual.

  • overall very good, but at 2:08 CMONN don't be ridiculous!!

  • love it!

  • If only all women were like this.

  • Comment removed

  • gooooooood..............

  • Eargasm. Oooooooooo yea.

  • Oh my god. It's like she's fighting with the music and she's possessed by SOMETHING. I can't listen to classical music the same way after hearing this. Nothing will ever match up to this in my mind.

Passionate playing will always beat simply playing correctly in my mind. I doubt the original composers intended for their music to become prized fossils. For example, Liszt was famous for his experiments in musical form. I'll bet he'd be pissed by everyone who's so opposed to emotional playing.

  • We live in a world where we can watch something like this for free. I almost feel I should pay. Lola is incredible. I'll go to iTunes and purchase her music.

  • I can't think of the words to explain this.

  • OH, MY GOODNESS! WORDS CAN NOT DESCRIBE HOW AWESTRUCK I WAS!!! =D VERY GOOD!

  • FUCK IT!...she becomes Franz and his music...it all becomes one crazy thing...can't tell what is what no more...and check out all the crazy grands...she's gonna to do them all, one by one...until them is all done...

  • She plays heavenly music...in heaven...

  • great playing Lola !

  • She is great, such a profound talent. Anyone who talks bad about her playing - fuck you - you are jealous. You are an asshole.

  • @Toetinger I share your feelings re: the invisible internet critics who try to boost their own mediocrity by insulting an obvious virtuoso. I just discovered Lola today and i will be visiting often to listen to her inspired playing. I agree with you wholeheartedly. Fuck her detractors, they are jealous sickos.

  • The only way this gets any better is if the piano catches fire from her awesome pianist ripping then explodes when she's done, Oh and shes walking away not looking at the explosion.

  • Subscribed!! Awesome!

  • girl you play go i wish i can go see you play in person one day with my daughter that love playing your music.she know piano too but not as good as you.love you lola.. your the best.

  • I mean, what do we believe people like Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, etc etc etc were trying to communicate to humanity? I doubt it was "let's turn music into a competitive sport and throw insults at each other as a means to boost our sad little egos". It is disgusting how these works, created from such deep compassion and understanding, are used as jousting tools and weapons of argument. I am sure none of the composers would think we have any idea what they were trying to say...

  • ur interpretation of this etude is much better than evgeny kissin ;)

i would like to hear u playing transcendental etude no.12!

  • e brava lolabrava brava e sopratutt bona boma che ti farei mmmmmmmmmmm

  • She performes like a pop artist

  • If any of you truly understood what it takes to accomplish this,

you would be humble and find this ladys talent as wonderful as I do.

  • you are truly gifted my friend dont ever stop playing. never listen to the world!

  • very nice.

  • 2:02 thumbs 4 the face :D

  • she can play fast pieces and so what ? this is the degradation of art performance. boo

  • How exactly did you learn this piece? Do you play by ear or did you read the music?

  • @xDSamorgxD like, seriously?

  • Watching her body movements is almost comic.

  • Unless you have played this piece in performance, it's difficult to grasp its true "transcendental" nature. I actually experienced an "out of body" experience at my performances. In order to bring out its musicality and passion, you need to almost go beyond what you are actually able to accomplish technically. You transcend your normal reality. I admired Ms. Astanova's performance and not only didn't mind her unique performance, I welcomed it. Tired of hearing the same old same old. Brava!

  • i loved your virtuosity at some places. But you destroyed the piece here and there, reminded me of Lang Lang

  • Like a Boss.

  • I'm trying to learn this piece... very nice playing!! Beautiful Steinways...

  • Do you play anything that isn't fast? Personally I think the piano sounds best when its being played moderately and is played with a good pace.

  • Thank You :)

Awesome. You really made that yours.

  • i think you should do a GAGA song

  • @MrMudez disgusting. -.-

  • also, fuck the haters. who cares if she adds her own personality to the music and/or her movements. isn't music about EXPRESSION in the first place?

i swear, piano elitists are the worst.

  • @Sospiro1209 I didnt know there was such a thing. -_-

  • @Sospiro1209 I agree. Another pack of elitist haters are those obsessed with soprano and tenor voices. I think that Lola's interpretations are just fine. Ciao.

  • @Sospiro1209 You can't really be mad @ the elitists when they are simply trying to preserve the work. I partially agree with you however some piano talent would rather keep the performance pure to the actual arrangement in order for the audience to hear how it was truly written. Lola kicks ass! My favorite is to watch her and all other players expressions when they play.

  • @Sospiro1209 The funniest thing is, they are only elite in their own minds. They are the expression of learning a process to extreme efficiency without understanding the meaning behind the process. As a society we have become incredibly good at churning out individuals with extreme technical efficiency but little humanity. For the life of me I don't understand how anyone who agresses, or nitpicks details could ever understand the passion and humanity it took to create works of art such as this.

  • @Sospiro1209 isn't it ironic that the elitists are whiny about adding personality to music? cause that's exactly what they do

  • Why, this is beautiful!

  • you're awsome...but quick question...I just upgraded to a Yamaha digital baby grand the DGX-640...(its smaller than a real steinway and i haven't a lot of room). Do you have any regard for digital style pianos? I in no way intend to become a professional player but love to play daily..addicted now i think...what do you think of a digital piano?

  • I can hardly listen to music

  • If just once she would smile.. I know she's concentrating but she looks angry all the time..

  • @smithdizzy78

why would you smile while playing this etude?

it isn't fur elise. if anything, i would get hyped playing it as well!

  • I'd love you to be my teacher.

I think I would learn very quickly

  • Lola, you do an amazing job bringing out the important lines in every moment of your playing. I always appreciate your performances.

  • Anyone that can't appreciate this performance--in it's entirety, the visual and the audio-- is just a mindless simpleton!

    Lola, will you marry me?

  • Anyone that can't appreciate this performance--in it's entirety, the visual and the audio-- is just a mindless simpleton!

  • Grazie, davvero.

  • shes playing the way she is because the original composer played with flamboyant gestures as well

  • Does it really matter how she looks while playing? Its about the music, not about your insecruties that leads to jealousy. If she was fat & ugly & made those same expressions you wouldn't even comment on it. This girl is great at playing the piano, which is all that matters, ITS ABOUT THE MUSIC

  • @satanisjhvh Every musician plays to get attention...they play to to have an effect on an audience. HER expressions are exaggerated, and that's what annoys me. She the doesn't make the song great...the song is great without her. Look at Evgeny Kissins performance...She will not be selling out the proms ever.

  • I, for one, appreciate Lola's use of physical expression. I like to know where performers of this caliber most enjoy the music. Of course, I am assuming she is compelled to play certain spots with physical expression and is not doing it for show. With Lola, though, I think most fans and musicians would agree that theatrics have very little to do with her musical personality, only smart marketing.

  • she's hot and all but I'm willing to bet the clowns criticizing her movement + expression as she plays have never ever performed at that level. I'm fortunate to belong to a particularly musical family; movement and body language to fit a piece seemed to be inherent among the musicians. it was a teeny bit funny as a child but not hilarious. or at least I never thought so. if they all do it for extra attention on top of what they receive for amazing skill + hard work, fine by me.

  • hahaha its the short cut shirt and the tight skinny jeans that makes all of you go OMG AMAZING etc

  • @Martel211996 Ohh wow,,, true,,, just noticed that she was playing the piano.... i was cought up with the shirt and jeans....

  • 3:25 :))

  • OMG!!! I am soooo in LOVE!!!

  • SO HOTTTT

  • URE AMAZINGGGGGG X 1000000000000000

please tell me how many hours you practice. thanks.

  • She's cute and all...

But does she really have to be SO DRAMATIC when she plays??

That's a pet peeve of mine.

  • i think friend that is what we called Emotions, and we know that she is a PRO PIANO PLAYER. good luck for All

  • Is this poor woman having a seizure at 3:25??

  • respect she ll be inlove???

  • you know that the pianist is good if it seem as very easy to do. the easier it looks the better the player is! and woow this looks easy!

  • This is beautiful and I am speechless, wow

  • It seems to me have heard an additional acute C in the fourth meassure before the ending, second chord right hand....perhaps it is only an acustic effect ...or my ear is really bad.

  • Very good!!!

  • wow man at most parts it seems like its fast forwarded! thats how well she plays.. its amazing!

  • No reason whatsoever a woman should dislike. We are not all stupid jealous bitches. I am a great Liszt fan and a woman myself, and came upon this video by sheer coincidence, never having heard this woman's name before. But I was instantly and deeply impressed by her most awesome performance Since I'm not a lesbian, I can't really judge how "hot" and "exciting" she is, but she certainly is an outstanding pianist with a very strong personal magnetism.

  • 25 dislikes are women

  • The hottest concert pianist in the world...thats for sure.

  • This is honestly themost beautiful i have ever heard. And seen, the way your fingers move along the keys is graceful but yet at the same time exciting. You're my inspiration , whenever i play the piano.i always try to think of how you strive for your best. so i try to do my best when learning songs.i can only play by ear, which is why i can probably never actually aquire a skill at the piano . but if i could read the notes on the piano staff. I'd try to learn this one especially You are my hero

  • evrybody allready told you how hot you are, but even if you were a dude, id still be in love with you

  • wow so many people are so perves (grow up) the song was played amaizingly

  • That's a really pretty song to look at, oops, I mean listen to

  • lol...

  • This girl is definitely hot. But that's pretty much it.

  • Good fingers, very clean and flawless but at the same time very empty and pretentious (2:03)

  • beautiful !

    \o/

  • Only fags dislike something as amazing as this brovo.

  • was this recorded in the steinway basement?

  • A really gripping performance. How is it possible to play so well and cuntrol those thigh movements? The corpeography must have been as well practised as the fingering! Seriously, the girl can play!

  • @NOSEhow2LIV that comment could be easily misunderstood. Thankfully, I was the first to do so.

  • The syncopations in this melody sounds to me like the syncopations in Tristan and Isolde´s Liebestod, reaching intense points in the development; you play it with energy and emotion, I really like it!

  • Really like the way you play liszt. Thanks.

  • you're awesome and such a great inspiration!

  • umm date me?

  • Lola, you are red hot!

  • I was Liszting so much I almost fell over!

  • how can male pianists even play without a boner after watching this xD

  • Lola, you continue to astound me. This piece is so beautifully played by you. I think a return visit for another house concert is in order as long as you include this in your repertoire. Bravo!

  • shid, this is one of my favourite piece, when i found this, I glad saw lola play it too, i looked this video for first 10 seconds, my head just blew up to your beauty, not the beauty of this piece. shit!!!

  • why you deliberately folded your shirt?

  • @snncy HAHAHAHAHAH
