@ChivalrysDownfall He wasn't a starter in Balt, and when his very small rookie contract was up he wanted more money. A Troy Smith is dime a dozen... Don't pay him 5 mil a year to sit on a bench that's dumb, because it kills salary cap. Salary cap which you use to go get players like Jimmy Smith, keep players such as Ngata, Suggs, Reed etc. we got another Smith in Taylor and probably pay him 300k a year.

Needs to throw the ball down field more in the NFL. I saw three great passes in this clip, the rest were mostly short passes and running plays. That will not cut it in the NFL. Maybe that was due to the team's needs.

To be completely honest I think he would be 10x better than he is this year if they didn't pull him out of his redshirt year. The coaching staff freked out and made a poor decision in pulling him out of his redshirt. So, I think that where he is now skill wise would have been where he was last year if they would have left him in his redshirt for his freshman year.

Making it TO the NFL is not the same as making in IN the NFL. Of the 6 guys you listed there is a total of one Super Bowl ring. 27 Playoff victories yes, but take out McNabb and S.Young (the only two who have a serious shot at the HOF) and there are only 10. Do you really think Vince Young is going to make it in this league? He's terrible, he lost his starting job for a reason.

I will say Tyrod has looked light years better since the 3rd quarter of the Nebraska game. But he SUCKED vs Alabama

your right, I think Tyrod was so use to running in high school that he didn't focus much on passing. But he should get better as the years progress. Stinespring isn't creative enough for that. Expect inside handoffs, screens, and 5 yard slants all season. And at least 2 losses because of his idiocy. But don't worry! We'll run Boone, the very definition of an inside power runner, to the OUTSIDE! i think the blame for the lack of production goes on both the recievers and the quarterbacks/coach o'cain. its true that tyrod can make some very bad decisions at times but hes shown that he is capable of making some unbelievable throws (the fsu game last year, scrambling to his left, threw across his body, and hit morgan on the 3 yard line). but a lot of it is the receivers lack of route running and drops. finally in the uva game the offense showed what it could do when the WRs come to play

I overatted this kid becuz of his freshman year... With every passing game I am discouraged that will ever get a start in the NFL... I watch college ball with an eye to the future and I'm becoming less intrigued with him every week. He's a very watered down Vick with less of a bullet arm and 3/5 of his speed and agility. Maybe he can fix up in two years but Vick was out in 3. As a mobile quarterback Vick has become the standard. Just look at Tavaris, Troy, Seneca. Thats where I see Tyrod.

im pretty sure the hype wasnt his running game, but his balance. he could have gone to a a spread option team, but chose to go to a pass first run second system. you saw his potential as a freshmen because he had the senior corp to throw to, and the defense to give him breathing room. we have neither this year. next year, better defense, developed offense, and no drama at the qb spot, as well as improved running game, and you'll see why tyrod is a great college qb.

Sophomore year was Vick's first year starting. While Vick had Andre Davis, Ricky Hall, Shyrone Stith, Cullen Hawkins, and our D had Moore, Engleberger, Midget, Preileou (sp?), Charlton, etc. - Over one or two more years, Taylor may make his teammates into names like those before he's done.
