She is good for 13 but her coaches and Marta are pushing her to do hard skills at such a young age. She still needs to do moderate gymnastics and work to perfect it. Then start working on the elite and perfecting it around 16. I dont think she is ready for London. It will backfire!

it is nice to be like shawn johnson but shawn johnson can almost not be compared to she is world all around champion and has 4 oylmpic medals. i really hope this girl becomes national champion one day and goes to london but she is so young to try to repeat shawn's sucess. i wish her good luck but think about it, should she risk severe injury with this vault when she could lead usa gymnastics?

Why is she already doing an amanar? She is only 13! Its like her coaches are really going off of the Shawn Johnson comparisons and having her compete quite a few of her skills. I'm sure Shawn could do an amanar at this age, but her coach was smart, and didn't want her to burn out quickly. She should work on doing a clean double then she can think about competing the amanar in a few years.

In an interview shawn had her coaches even said she is very capable of doing an amanar, but they didn't want her to so she wouldn't risk injury. I can't stand Jordyn and her coaches, gymnastics isn't about, lets see who can do the hardest skills the youngest! Its about timing things right so one you don't hurt yourself, and two so that you will have skills down and won't be burnt out. This is really stupid on her coaches part

so true. I'm so scared that she will burn out when she becomes senior, or even before she becomes senior. doing an amanar in 13 is crazy, especially with this kind of landing. She looks like she's gonna be an injured gymnast very soon.

although it might be that she's so good she doesn't really need to be pushed be pull off an amanar. that would be amazing.

@snazziest212 I felt the same way two years ago but she seems to still be going strong! If her coaches had been a little smarter, maybe she could have avoided the injuries she's incurred over the past two years. I hope she can stay healthy between now and London.

definately a possible rival for johnson and Liukin. However, I have a feeling that johnson and Liukin are going to come back with even more difficulty so wieber will have a lot of catching up to do, partcularly on uneven bars. Plus, johnson and liukin are very consistent. Interesting next 4 years.

She isn't a beautiful gymnast like Shawn Johnson and Liukin, but judges aren't looking for beauty, they're looking for dificulty + execution, and on this point she's really nice! I can't believe a 13 years old performed an Amanar vault! It was amazing! Go Wieber, I wait you in London 2012.

With the new code of points, they are tryingt o put mroe emphasis on the artistry rather than the hard tricks. Deductions are more severe and they have limited the number of skills they will count in some events. She does nedd a bit more work to catch up to "the greats" but I have no doubt she will be the star of the 2012 games, if Mattie Larson does stay on her heels :)
