@jackieplanb Coming from California here, so things are definitely a bit different, but I remember back in highschool there was a guy in our group of friends with a sixth finger on his left hand that was fully functional. He was actually pretty popular because of it. He was unique and extremely interesting and could use the finger to do things a lot of us had trouble on, especially on the guitar. He was automatically accepted by almost everyone because they were so interested in his extra finger

i had a polydactyly when i was born, and i had the extra thumb removed when i was only a few days old. now 18 years later i just had surgery on my thumb in order to reconstruct it. interesting enough, it was the same surgeon that performed both operations. now im in a cast for 3 months and man it sucks already
