If Bertuzzi wasn't playing for detroit you wouldn't be saying that. Acts of retribution do happen, but not like that. Moore already fought and that should have been the end of it (like when cooke fought after the savard hit). Bert absolutely ended his career. It was the initial punch and then the SLAMMING of his uncoscious head into the ice (he also cocked his fist back to throw yet ANOTHER punch). There's a reason that made news everywhere. It was criminal and disgusting

it bothers me that people still bring up the Steve Moore incident...every year there are acts of retribution in hockey, hits to to the back of the head (pitt vs islanders) and people get hurt, the only reason steve moore's career ended was because he had 600lbs of other people land on his neck after the initial punch...let's not forget that Bertuzzi in his prime was one of the, if not the best power forward in the NHL and is still a hell of a hockey player

@chopsy61 I'm not making excuses for anything he did, it's wrong and he deserved what he got, but there is no doubt in my mind that if everyone else wouldn't have piled on the extent of Moore's injury wouldn't have been nearly as bad...and like I said, it's hockey! People get cheap shotted ALL the time, but most of the time the injuries aren't as drastic as the Moore incident...and lastly that's the game of hockey, you take out a star player, you better be watching your back, it happens td too
