ok whats does this car have if u dont mind me asking ? i got a h22a in a cx hatch i/e/stock headers with a 2.5 collector/skunk 2 manifold /70mm throttle body/fuel rail/
Damn... Good ass trrakk results... My buddy has a H2B eg too... but he had chipped ECU, and 2 STEP... and got 12.190 on the 1/4... Props to the owner...
omg !!! thats like one mod! that doesnt mean shit . i wouldnt even consider it a mod actually its just adding launch control..
sucks when your on a basemap for your mods you did on your car.. your depriving it on fuel/air ..or maybe giving it more.. tell your friend to tune his car ..
and before you chime in i bet your "friend" has more mods than you know to get to that number .. its not that easy to get to that .
@biglaoboi ive got an h2b and i was wondering if you could tell me if the 2 step would make a differnce?my old h22 had a 2 step n it didnt do much do u think its worth it on an h2b?non boost so idk why id need a 2step but u mentioned it as something that helped ur buddy out
Oh by the way, there was a guy with an H22A Integra (90-93). By doing the H2B conversion with CTR/LSD he dropped his 1/4 time by 0.5 seconds. Not bad for using a different transmission.
Enough about K's. The bottom line is H-series engines are old technology. They started making them in 1990! The US just didn't see them until 1993. So you have to respect the H, it's been putting it down for a while now. H2B with a BC 2.6L stroker is my dream setup if I were to build a FWD drag car.
Besides this video is about H-series. I don't know how you dragged K engines into the equation. You acted like putting spacers in the hood is a bad thing. Hey, better cooling! Great for ITB's if you have em. And if your building a drag car, Who the fuck cares? What are its cons? Really.
1NonlyDave knows what he's talking about. I won't even throw my .2 in because he's put enough out there to say enough. I've seen way too many h2b's "MURDER" K24 franks. :) Sad part was that the K24 franks had alot more parts on them.
I obviously know more than you about the engine. The K20 that has 159tq is the Civic R. How many people do you know have that engine? Probably none. Most people do K20A2 swaps anyways. The Integra R engine however has 132ft/lbs man. Look it the hell up. BTW the engine the guy I know has is one that I sold him (used to be in my Si)
the most out of a factory H22A is rated at 167ft/lbs. Either way...it IS a driver's race. An EG hatch with an H2B swap (minor boltons) vs. an EG hatch with a K20A (ITR) would be a close race. Mid to high 12's on both setups.
comparing crank tq as an actual physical data that makes one motor better than another is a very pointless thing to do. you need to look at power output. not crank tq
the horsepower it produces make up for the weight and mods of that motor... I say go k... plus you cant even close ur hood all the way.. U gotta fucken put spacers in between.. and clearance from the floor up must be hell so becareful not fucking up ur oil pan and headers etc...
Why waste money on a K when you can go H2B and STILL have thousands of dollars to spare and be just as fast if not faster. And you are wrong about the hood and the oil pan. ESP makes a kit that provides plenty of clearance.
yeah but no clearance for hood.. you have to put spacers on the top... the kit for the conversion itself is hella expensive.. well K series is expensive too but its a good investment because you can always upgrade to k24 frank which will MURDER a built h2b.. an h2b may be able to take out a stock k20a2 without kpro but it wont take out a built k20a with kpro... also the k is more reliable then the h2b.. put it this way.. the k series is the success of the failed h series honda tried to make
A built NA H2B is easily a drivers race with a K24/K20 head (stock internals) in a hatch or CRX. And the H2B has the potential to come out on top. Keep in mind the H has seen 348whp ona built NA engine. And stock for stock it has the same tq as a K24. I've seen first hand a stock H2B beat a K20 hatch with k-pro and minor boltons. So you CAN make a K killer and spend less money doing it.
really?? cuz your talking low 12s then if you seen one that actually whooped on a k20a hatch with k pro.. you sure that hatch u seen wasnt a usdm k20a2 with k pro? I mean its a big big difference if that hatch had a jdm k20a with kpro. Im talking better cams, head, tranny, lsd, everything.. more torque also..
Yes I am sure. It's the JDM K20A ITR engine. The H22A has roughly 30 ft/lbs on it. 132 vs. 160-167. I know what the K20A has man. lol. I'm not dissing the K, I'm just saying that I can build a faster car with an H, while spending less money.
the torque of a k20a is about the same as an h22 which is 159lbs... thas why the motor is so powerful.. u squeeze that much horsepower and torque out of a 2.0 liter while the h22 is 2.2 liters with the same torque and less horsepower.. the k20a isnt 130lbs.. see u dont know much about that motor man.. I think ur confusing it with the gsr or something.. or the usdm k20a2
Heavy? It's only 35 lbs heavier than a B series. Relocate the battery or lose P/S and A/C. Big deal, it also has 20+ ft/lbs more torque than a K20 as well.
OMG I LOVE that timing board setup!!!!! I wish all track would do that!!!

The DH-R H22 CRX was putting down 300whp on the stock bottom end.
