And certainly we can plant seeds of the Word who is Christ but words alone have no power to bring things into fruition. Guys, Joel has said he is not preaching the Gospel... His a life Councillor primarily to motivate and endurance. Which is helpful for the walk... Is this the same Jesus that Paul followed, who in 2 Corinthians 11:23 said that he has "worked much harder, been in prison more frequently, been flogged more severely, and been exposed to death again and again."?

John says Jesus was handed over to be crucified at the 6th hour. which sounds contradictory. John was written @80-98 AD, most likely from Roman Ephesus and was using roman time like ours today. He is "handed over" at 6AM and crucified @ 9AM

Records exist to show that Roman-controlled Egypt had begun a census as early as 10 B.C. and it was repeated every 14 years. And Augustus himself notes in his Res Gestae (The Deeds of Augustus) that he ordered three wide-spread censuses of Roman citizens, one in 28B.C., one in 8 B.C. and one in 14 A.D.

@k0smon I have to back track a little here. The two censuses Could have been the same. In stating that Quirinius controlled the Syrian area, Luke doesn't use the official political title of "Governor" ("legatus"), but the broader term "hegemon" which is a ruling officer or procurator. Quirinius may not have been the official governor of Judea, but he was in charge of the census because he was a more capable and trusted servant of Rome than the more inept Saturninus.
