I liked the review, but I mostly concentrated on the playing. You seem tense when playing. Try loostening up. You are a great drummer, but you could probably ace the game if you try loostening up. Just a suggestion, don't flame me.
True, it seems all drummers that see the video tell me the same thing. I guess I need to try real drums to understand the way you need to hit the drums and why being loose is so important.
correction....You buy songs online market... so i shouldn't say that rock band songs suucks cause you can just easily buy them with microsoft points..
yeah, but they haven't added anymore. And I already got all the metallica songs, which made the game suck less.
Their business model was evil, they put a bunch of crapy songs, and they sell the cool ones, but they haven't added much, I keep checking all the time.
The reason there aren't many "good" guitar songs (as you put it) is because the game is based around band gameplay. If a song is incredible for the guitar, but shitty for the other instruments, then it's failed. I think they're mostly aiming for balance, and while not every song is amazing, the soundtrack is very hard to hate on the whole.
As a solo game, Guitar Hero is definitely more fun. However, the fun to be had playing with 3 friends in band mode definitely wins out.
two things, one the metallica pack is on its way...dont worry theres gonna be like 5 more metallica songs for download. and two they lost rights to welcome to the jungle and swwet child o mine after they lost rights to guitar hero because of the whole activision buying red octane thing. im sure they can eventually get a GnR pack but its gonna take time and money.
Well it will teach you rythms... But it won't teach you technique and most of the people i've seen play don't lift there sticks after hitting, thats the number 1 "it's gonna sound like shit" factor. If you plan on playing quads for your school marching band... It helps, if you want to play drumset, there are many more things you need to take into account.
for this............. drums is where its at

It would be so much easier if I didn't have to use the bass drum. Do you think if I did a whole song without the bass I would fail?
NiteHawk202 4 years ago
yes you fail. but what you can do, is do it in practice mode, get used to the hands, then you start playing with the bass drum pedal.
