A beautiful story. But they did not send him away because he was too big (he was obviously huge already and they weren't bothered by it) but because the LAWS changed and you were no longer allowed to have certain animals as domestic ones so they had to seperate. Voilà! :)

I can't get enough of Christian and I cry EVERY time I see him. I've fallen in love, head over heels, with Christian. It kills me that he's gone, that after two times, he never saw Ace and John again. This is the most incredible animal story I have EVER heard about or read about. I bought the book and bought the DVD. They give the ENTIRE story of this MAGNIFICENT lion, Christian. He really was perfect.

The name of the book is, "A Lion Called Christian" If you're interested, the DVD, which REALLY makes the whole story even more touching, because you can see everything, is called, Christian, The Lion at Worlds End." They are both FABULOUS. Get kleenex, you'll need them. I still cry. It truly is the most touching story I have ever read. I am now forever hooked on lions because of Christian. Thank you for asking.
